The contestants that wants to become a part of a magic knight squad started trying to fly on their broomsticks. A person was able to fly a little bit off the ground while another was flipped upside down, another flew about two meters off the ground while another flew five meters off the ground.
"Look! over there! He's flying so high and he's so cool!" said a kid and he pointed to the person he was talking about.
Everyone looked at which person the kid pointed at and say Yuno standing on his broomstick flying high, they were all staring at Yuno in awe.
"We got an impressive contestant this year but....." started Jack.
"Asta is taking the test this year right?" asked Rill.
"He is." replied William.
"We got an impressive contestant this year but.......he won't be able to beat the gaki." finished Yami.
The rest of the captains just smirked looking back at the contestants, they knew what was going to happen next, the other contestants will soon notice who is the highest and who's above of all of them, including Yuno.
"No way! Look! that kid is even higher than the four leaf clover kid!" said a boy.
They all looked up again and saw Asta standing on his broomstick flying higher than Yuno. Yuno tched, 'Tch, that kid again.' thought Yuno.
"I'm guessing you came late if you don't know who he is right?" said a person to the boy that pointed at Asta.
"Yeah?" said the boy.
"He's the younger brother of the Golden Dawn's captain." said the person.
"No wonder he's so good." said the boy.
Time magic: Time skip next test*
"Alright, this next test will be magic creation. Create something good with your magic, it could be a sculpture or an image, or, magic that takes form of something. Star!" said the proctor.
Everyone started thinking of what to create, then, a boy created a bird with wood, another female created a phoenix with fire and another boy wearing nice clothes made a sculpture of himself. Yuno was thinking hard of what he should make, 'I have to make something that will be better than the Asta kid. I know!' thought Yuno
Yuno used his magic and created an eagle with his wind magic, it looked really beautiful, the others stared at Yuno with awe once again.
"That's so beautiful!" said a girl.
Everyone looked at where it came from and saw a girl with a bunny created by plants looking at Asta's creation with awe. Asta made a nine tailed fox with a lot of details it was made by shadow creation(since his magic is shadow and dark), it had midnight fur that looked real, golden eyes that looked like gold and nine tails made by Asta's chains that was covered with shadow creation to make it look real and since it was the same chains that Asta was surrounded by at first, it could move around making it look like the nine tailed fox could move its tails around. Yuno tched again looking at how Asta's work was better than his.
"Hm, looks pretty good." said the captain of the purple Orca(forgot his name).
"It does! It looks like a wonderful piece of art. It looks like a real nine tailed fox that's alive as well. Kind of like my paintings." said Rill.
Time magic: Time skip next test*
"This test will test you in your accuracy, use your magic and hit the middle of the targets." said the proctor.
Everyone started doing what the man said using their magic to aim in the middle. Yuno used his wind magic and hit the middle of his target, he smirked then looked at where Asta was.
Asta shot three small black chains one after another and all three hit the middle of the target connecting to each other.
"You're brother is amazing William. I'm very astonished by his work. So far he's probably first in everything. You're sibling is wonderful.....unlike someone." said Nozel whispering the last part to himself.
Time magic: Time skip finale test*
"This will be the finale test in the magic knights entrance exams. Pair up with someone and battle them. Even if you lose, there's still a chance that a captain might still want you so don't worry of loosing. If you get hurt we will heal you in the infirmary and you will be on time so don't worry. Grimoires are allowed. Please find a partner you want to fight now." said the proctor.
People immediately started looking around for a person to fight, it was hard for Asta though because.....everyone was trying to avoid him, well, Asta hasn't asked anyone as well, he just stayed in the same spot. Yuno was about to go ask Asta to fight but then, someone else came up to Asta first. Yuno then felt a light tap on his shoulder, he turned around to see who it was and saw Sekke.
"Hi I'm Sekke Bronzazza. Wanna pair up?" asked Sekke.
Yuno thought about it, 'Well someone came up to Asta first and by the way people has been avoiding him, he's definitely going to accept so I'm going to accept Sekke offer.'
"Sure." replied Yuno.
"Alright first pair to battle come in the middle." said the proctor.
"Let's go. I don't wanna wait later." said Sekke.
Sekke walked in and so did Yuno.
"Oh look! Yuno is battling right now." said a villager from Hage village.
"He definitely won't lose." said Orsi.
"Father do you think that he will be able to make it into the Golden Dawn?" asked Lily.
"I'm sure he can." replied Orsi.
"Well, yeah but, Asta Vangeance is the younger brother of the captain of the Golden Dawn plus, he is stronger than Yuno." replied Lily.
"You're right.....let's just watch the match." said Orsi.
Sekke opened his grimoire and started flicking through the pages then stopped at one.
"Bronze creation magic: Sekke magnum cannon-ball." said Sekke, 'Huh, this defends me and attacks at the same time. No way none of the captains will be impressed.' thought Sekke smirking.
Yunno opened his grimoire and started flicking through pages then stopped at one.
"Wind magic: towering tornado." said Yuno.
A tornado appeared and went towards Sekke's direction, Sekke started panicking a lot. The tornado cut through Sekke's defense and knocked him out.
"Winner: Yuno." said the proctor.
Medics came and took Sekke while Yuno went back to his spot.
"Next." said the proctor.
Two people stepped in the middle to fight.
"Wow! Look! This is going to be an interesting battle! It's Salm from the Hapshass family vs Asta Vangeance." said a kid.
"Begin!" said the proctor.
Salm started flicking through his book then it stopped on one page, Salm smirked.
"I'm very excited for this battle but, so bad it's going to end very fast." said Salm.
"It indeed will." replied Asta with his grimoire open on a page.
"Gaki got that right." said Yami.
Salm used his grimoire and powerful lightning appeared, the people watching were frightened while Salm smirked, 'Let's see how you will deal with this, Asta Aangeance.' thought Salm.
Asta pulled out his anti magic sword and attached his black chains to it, he threw the sword at the lighting and the magic was nullified making the lighting spell disappear. People were shocked at this, Yuno was watching in jealousy and William smiled proud of his little brother.
'How did he do that with that sword?' thought many people including Salm.
Asta pulled the sword back with his chains back into his hand and swung it at Salm which knocked him out since he couldn't use magic against it.
"Winner: Asta Vangeance." said the proctor.
Time magic: Time skip*
Everyone were waiting for their number to be called to be accepted by a squad captain or multiple captains or, they would have to go home and come back the next year if they want.
"Number 164."
Asta stepped forwards, everyone was kind of surprised by what happened next, but not really since he was Asta Vangeance, all the captains raised their hands.
"I bet he's going to pick his brother's squad."
"Yeah."
"He's so good so it's not a surprise all the captains raised their hands."
"He's William Vangeance's little brother after all."
Whispered the kids.
"I choose...."
