I park in my spot at the Leeds training ground with tears in my eyes. I stop the car and let out a loud sigh and wipe my eyes. I look at my eyes in the review mirror and see that my eyes weren't super blood shot making me feel better. I grab my bag from the passenger side and step out of my car into the cold bitter morning.
I walk into the warm building, instantly feeling much better. "Good morning Y/N! How are you doing today?" The receptionist, Barbra, asks as I smile at her. "I'm alright thanks and yourself?" I ask her as she sends me a sympathetic smile seeing my slightly bloodshot eyes, "Are you sure you're alright, love?" She questions making me chuckle "I could be better but I've definitely been worse." I say making her smile.
"Y/N! I hope you're having a lovely morning. So there's only a handful of guys who need a massage or a checkup after training." Marcelo Bielsa says to me. I nod at him as he gives me a kind smile, "Thank you coach." I say as I walk to my office. I get everything ready and walk to the medical room. Seated in the room were all the medical staff and a few of the players. The person who caught my attention was Patrick. He was taking to Kalvin about his apartment.
"Mate I need a roommate. It's not that I can't afford where I live but it's lonely at the moment." Patrick says making my ears perk up. This morning my best friend, well now ex best friend, told me that I must move out so that her boyfriend could stay there. As much as I understood that and respected that, the way she told me was rude and she was being very snobby about it. It ended up being a massive fight and now we aren't friends and I guess that's just how life pans out.
I sit next to Patrick as he gives me a smile, "Hey Y/N. You look great today." He says making my cheeks turn a shade of pink. "Thanks Pat. You look great as well." I say as he sends me a wink. I hear Kalvin whisper something in Patrick's ear making him chuckle. "Maybe." He says with a massive smile on his face. "So where are you feeling some pain?" I question him as he points to his calf. "It's just feels tight. Nothing major." He says to which I nod, "I'll double check and then massage it out." I say as he nods and lets me do my work.
Once I'm finished massaging his calf and checking it out, I give him the thumbs up as he stands up. "Uhh sorry Pat but could I quickly chat to you in private?" I ask him as he sends me a loving smile. "Of course." He says nod walks outside of the room. He leans on the door frame as he waits for me to speak. "I couldn't help but overhear that you were looking for a room mate and I just wanted to ask if maybe I could room with you? I know it's a lot to ask but I desperately need a place to stay."
It's silent for awhile making my heart race, "You know what, that sounds like a lovely idea." He says making my head snap and look into his eyes, "Seriously?" I ask as he chuckles softly, "Yeah! You seem like such a nice person. I think living together would be fun." He says making me smile wide. "Great! I'll message you later to discuss splitting the rent and everything like that." I say as he nods. "Sounds like a plan." He says. "Thank you Pat. I don't think you understand how much this is helping me out." I say as I give him a tight hug.
His arms wrap around me tightly, "Anything for you, Y/N." he says making my cheeks and ears burn up.
- 4 months later -
Living with Patrick was a lot of fun. Yeah sure it had its downs but there were a lot more ups than anything else. The only issue was during these 4 months, I couldn't help fall hard for the young man. I mean, how could I not? He walks around without a shirt almost 24/7 and he has a personality and heart of gold. I knew falling for him wouldn't be great for mine and his careers sake but it was hard not to see him in a loving way.
I unlock the door whilst laughing at a joke Patrick has said, "Wow. Your sense of humor isn't great huh?" I question making him scoff. He closes the door behind him as we walk to the kitchen, "You laughed so clearly your humor is just as bad as mine." He says sending me a cheeky smile. "Ugh you're so annoying." I say as he chuckles, "Yet you love me." He says making my cheeks heat up.
It's silent as we stand awkwardly in the kitchen. "Actually, Y/N, can we talk about that?" He questions making me frown and look into his bright eyes, "Talk about what?" I question as he scratches the back of his neck. "You know..." he trails off as I see his cheeks turn red along with his ears. "Clearly not." I say with a slight chuckle.
"Don't you feel it?" He questions looking at me with pain in his eyes. I'm silent, not wanting to say yes when he wasn't referring to the tension between us regarding liking each other. "Just to clarify, what tension?" I question making him sigh, "I thought so. Imma head upstairs." He says, his shoulders slumping. He walks off but I pull him by his wrist. Before he can push me off, I take a chance and smash my lips onto his.
He doesn't respond straight away, making my heart drop and a feeling of embarrassment creep up my spine. But his hands slowly wrapped around my waist and pull me closer to him. He deepens the kiss by swiping his tongue across my bottom lip. I open my mouth as our tongues explore each other's mouths. I pull away breathless as I stare into his eyes. He starts to smirk, "Oh, so you did feel the tension?" He questions making me roll my eyes. "I just asked cause what happens if you were talking about bad tension between us and then I admit my love for you?" I question whilst lifting my eyebrows.
He chuckles and nods, "True, true." He says as I feel his fingers move up and down my lower back. "So what now?" I question as he shrugs. "I'm not too sure but as long as we can kiss like this for the rest of my life, I'll be happy." He says with a wide smile. I chuckle and nod, "With absolute pleasure." I say and lean in, placing my lips back on his for another passionate kiss.
