Shelby was silent after Glee yesterday. She wouldn't talk to us at all. Judy and I have a plan though. Just have to get the club to agree to a few group choices. We are leaving it up to group vote who sings.
Judy has all of the paper shreds and pens. I nod to her and she starts handing them out. Everyone looks confused as she hands them on of each. Shelby walks over and finally speaks to me.
"What's going on?" I turn and she points at the judge table "We still have that set up"
"Doing things differently" I smirk "You'd know if you talked with us"
Shelby goes to speak but is interrupted "Ok!" Judy walks up beside me "We have three songs to choose for the group number! You choose the best song then we will vote again!"

The kids take their time and fill out their papers. I look at the table to see Holly pointing. I follow and see Shelby in tears. I tap Judy and point at Shelby. We walk over and stop in front of her.
"Shelbster?" She looks up and sniffles "You ok?"
"They called my lawyer" Shelby sighs "Hiram and Leroy's lawyer called mine...They died in a crash three months ago"

"It was delayed and finally made it here" She sighs "I've been trying to figure out how to let her know and not hurt the baby...She got a letter that said they'd be there the next competition"

"HIRAM AND LEROY DIED!" Everything goes silent and Shelby sighs "I'm sorry Rachel...It's obvious these three wanted me not to tell you in a safe place but I can't keep it hidden"
"W-when?" Rachel stands up shakily "When was it?"
"I just learned a few days ago but it was three months ago" Shelby steps toward her "Are you going to be ok?"
"I've had years without them what's a life?" Rachel shakes her head and walks to the door "I think I wanna go home"
"Smooth" Shelby looks at me confused and I point where Rachel just walked out "We were gonna give more time for a better delivery of news! But no..you had to do it Shelby's way didn't ya?"
"Shelbys way?" She fully turns toward me angry "That's MY daughter and I was telling her important news she needed to know!"

"We tried" I look at Judy who is frowning "You really do still have your walls up....When will you let us fully in again?"
Judy leaves and everyone else slowly follows. Soon I'm alone in the room. I sigh and walk out of the room. I really can't fault them for anything.
I'm so afraid of being hurt again that I won't let them in. But that means the relationship goes to a stop. I don't want that. I want all of us to get the full experience.
I look at the car as I get to the lot. The girls are together and my girlfriends look upset. I caused this. I need to fix it.
