I woke up rather suddenly to the alarm, I shot up looking at the time
"Ohh fuck!" I complain getting out of bed going into the bathroom having quick little wash, ehh I'll do. Going out grabbing clothes shoving them on as soon as I could trying to be fast but also quiet not wanting to wake y/n up even if I desperately wanted to turn the light on so I wasn't trying to get dressed in the dark. As soon as I was dressed I grabbed my bag going over to our bed tucking the covers around her naked body a little more and giving her head a kiss making her smile in her sleep. "love you sweetheart" I smiled before I grabbed my keys heading out the apartment locking up behind me rushing out to the cold new york streets, I prepared myself to be late for my flight there was no way I'd be able to get a cab at rush hour, I saw one going past so I tried to hail it and to my surprise, it pulled over right away "Hey, Uhh airport please" I told him and he nodded so I climbed into the back with my things, I got comfortable I knew we had to get across new york at rush hour I'd be lucky to get to the airport before lunchtime But by some luck, we managed to get all the way across new york to the airport in record time "Cheers man," I smiled paying the driver and heading inside mentally preparing myself for my flight to be late, and deylaed like always. I checked in and found a seat in the lounge looking to where my flight was meant to go out but to my surprise before I could even get a book out my bag to read.
"Flight 613 To Las Vegas Now Boarding all seats" came over the intercom.
I smirked a little this is my lucky day.
I got up sorting my stuff heading over handing the stewardess my things she checked them over and immediately let me on. I found my seat with not a single soul on the other two seats, I took my own and got my book as other people quickly and quietly boarded, they quickly went through the safety stuff and took off. I was a little surprised, that it all was so simple and fast, and that I wasn't sat next to anyone. The flight went fine no crying babies, no turbulence nothing bad at all I just sat reading my book,
"Your Beer sir" A stewardess smiled handing me a drink
"Oh I didn't-" I began
"I know sir, it's from the gentleman over there," she says pointing to another man a couple of rows ahead with his own beer, she walked off and he smiled to me so I smiled back happily having the free drink once we landed I got off the plane no problem and picked up my bag heading out the airport putting my arm up for a cab and instantly one pulled over for me
"Hey, Mirage Hotel please," I told him and he headed off dropping me outside the hotel so I paid him and headed inside to the check-in desk
"Good morning sir how can I help you?" she smiled
"Hey, Mr Watts checking in," I told her "And do you know where I sign in for the Championship?"
"You can sign in here as soon as you have your room key Mr watts" she smiled "Ohh... there seems to be a mistake with the booking," she says reading her paperwork
ohh fuck, well looks like my good luck has run out.
"There seems to be a double booking in that room, Oh dear I'm so sorry Mr Watts, But as it was a fault here with the hotel I shall move you to another room free of charge" she smiled
"uhhh sure" I smiled
"Ohh but we're fully booked on the standard rooms... That's alright I'll just move you up to a suite" she smiled
"Uhh okay" I nodded very happy to take this, she handed me my key and I singed in for the championship and headed up to my room.
It was huge with a fancy double bed a beautiful bathroom, a balcony with a view out to the strip, I even had a tv. there was a complimentary bottle of wine on the table and a hundred dollars in chips for the casino, I threw my stuff on the bed and sat down.
"This really is my lucky day" I smiled
Once I was sorted I headed down to the championship looking around at the people I was to play all of them I had seen before and I knew I could beat them except one, that beth Harmon girl. I had read about her and studied on her for the trip in anticipation of her being here, she didn't scare me, or worry me really. But If anyone was serious competition it was her. I went to my first match and I could see the colour drain from his eyes as he saw me, I beat him fairly quickly in fact he was being so foolish with his moves. And so on and so on boy after boy all of them losing to me, I was starting to feel invincible like I had my skill and luck on my side like I couldn't possibly lose.
Until at last, it was the final and I was against Beth. she too looked like she was invincible, confident if a little arrogant. I sat down with her and clicked the clock to being, as we plaid I tried to focus but as I did I couldn't escape that feeling at the back of my mind... I needed to pee. Oddly enough not something I had really concerned myself with until now. but as I was thinking about it I noticed how... comfortable I was. I mean not like I'm normally uncomfortable but I felt cosy. Like getting a cuddle from y/n.
Wait... why does it feel like y/n's giving me a cuddle? specifically from the waist down...
Oh no.
I got dressed in the dark this morning...

soon enough the game was finished and I had won. I shook her hand did a couple of quick press things taking my prize money and returning to my room as soon as I locked the door I undid my pants and yep! bright blue lace!
Ohh fuck! she's going to kill me!
Then again? this was the luckiest day I've had in years...
Maybe these are.. lucky?
I had a drink in my room while I contemplated what to do about the current situation I could change them into the ones in my bag but I only brought one for the trip home tomorrow if I change I won't have any underwear for the journey home. and these were cosy, and soft, and they did make me miss her a lot less.

I glanced to the table to the chips on the side so I sorted myself out and stuck them in my pocket headed down the to casino. I found a poker table a game I was always fairly found off having a seat at the one empty stool putting in a couple of dollars and he handed me two cards I glanced to them seeing a pair of queens, I tried not to react keeping my face straight putting the cards down putting a few more dollars in.
I plaid for a while almost always getting a great hand, I started with the hundred in my room and ended up with five hundred within a matter of an hour. I felt the cash I had won today burning in my pocket to I took out another five hundred from my winnings at the championship changing it to chips and starting to play with them I was doing well I never lost. I decided to change up all of it my whole five thousand dollars a man at the end of the table smirked at me a little clearly thinking I was an idiot. People began to leave until it was only him and I at the table we plaid and still I never lost, he smirked looking at his hand putting it down again and changing up some more money "All in" He says
I was a little nervous... but did it anyway.
"All in," I said pushing my cash in
"I'll see you," he says so I nodded and showed my card and I had won. So I took all of the winnings and went and cashed them putting it all in my little envelope and heading back to my room counting up what I won. As soon as I counted it up I rang Y/n
"HI BENNY!" she yelled excitedly
"Hi sweetheart" I smiled
"How'd it go?"
"I won" I smiled
"yay! how much?" she asked
"Five," I told her
"that's great benny" she smiled "I'm so proud of you"
"Awww thanks, sweetheart, But I uhh I have something else to tell you?"
"What is it? What happened? is something wrong?"
"Well I uhh I went down to the casino afterwards"
"Ohh no," she says
"sweetheart it's okay"
"What happened?"
"I bet it, On Poker"
"How much of it?"
"All of it"
"ALL OF IT!" she yelled in shock "Benny! we're supposed to be saving you promised!"
"Y/n don't worry honey," I told her "I won"
"How much?" she asks
"Well I won five in the championship"
"And you bet it all?"
"I did, and then I won. I'm coming home with sixteen"
"sixteen?" she asks happily
"Yep, so... when I get back tomorrow, how about we go up to the agent? and put our money down?"
"You mean it Benny?" she asks
"Of course I mean it sweetheart" I smiled "And you can read your pretty magazines and start making plans for the apartment... as it will be ours tomorrow"
"Yay! I love you so much!!"
