"what?" i say
"i think i like may." he says, looking a little worried
"really?" i ask smiling
"yeah. she's so pretty, and nice, and funny. and i love being around her." he says, blushing a little bit
"that's so sweet. you should ask her out!" i say in a happy tone
"i want to but i dunno if she likes me."
"of course she likes you. have you seen the way she looks at you? and even if she doesn't, she's dumb. you're amazing" i say while sweetly smiling
"thanks" he says with his wonderful, bright smile.

"i think i'm gonna ask her out." he says
"awesome! do you need any help?" i ask
"no thank you. i'm gonna do it myself" he says smiling
"alright!" i say

"hey, i gotta get home. see you at school tomorrow?" i ask
"yep! here, i'll walk you out." noah says
we walk downstairs, and opens the door for me.
"thank you." i say smiling
"you're welcome"
i walk out the door, and look back at noah. hes closing the door, not really looking back at me. i wish he was though.
i walk home, considering i live about 10 minutes away from noah. i get home, walk into the kitchen to see my mom placing dinner on the table.
"hey, y/n! how was the project?" she asks me
"boring." i say
"anything happen?" she asks me
"uhm, why" i ask confused, wondering if she knows something
"you look a little upset, that's all." she says
"oh, i'm okay. just tired" i lie.
i sit down at the table, eating my lasagna and salad.

i walk up to my room after dinner, and put my pjs on. its only about 9, but i'm tired. i curl up in my blanket and comfort animals, thinking about noah. i fall asleep thinking about the possibility of may and him dating. i want him to be happy, but i also want him to be happy with me.

it's the next morning, and i wake up a bit earlier than usual. i decide to put on some eyeliner and mascara today. i throw on a long sleeved striped shirt, and skinny black jeans. a put on my favorite pair of converse, and go downstairs.
"breakfast is ready!" my mom says
"it's okay, i'm not hungry." i say
"you sure?" she asks me
"yep! thank you though" i say with a smile
"alright, have a good day at school!"
"thanks, love you!"
"love you too baby!" my mom says as i walk out the door

"y/n." noah says as he's coming up behind me
"hey" i say
"so i'm planning on asking her out during lunch."
"okay, sounds good!"
"so i was a little extra, and i got her a cupcake"
i look at the cupcake as he opens the little box. i read the little edible sheet of paper saying, "be my juliet?" classic noah.
"she's gonna love that." i say chucking
"i hope" he says smiling
the bell rings, and it's time to go to first period. we walk to class together, per usual. usually we sit next to each other, but noah found an empty seat next to may. instead, i sit next to alex, another kid in my class.
by the time class is over, i can already tell noah is getting nervous for lunch. we walk to math together
"you nervous?" i ask
"yeah" he says
"dont be. she'll say yes." i say while smiling
he smiles back, and i put my arm around his shoulders as we walk into class.
