The night slowly comes to an end as some slow songs begin to play, and James pulls me on to the dance floor.
Honestly, all night there has been a lot of sudden tension between James and I. Every touch has tingles. When our eyes meet, it's...it's indescribable.

I can't take my eyes off of James all through the dance, and I see him doing the same thing. Our eyes are locked together, neither daring to look away. I...I don't know what to say.
The Hobgoblins then say that they shall be playing the last song of the night. 'Fields Of Gold' by Sting. One of my favourite songs.
The beautiful music starts up, and James tugs me ever-so-slightly closer to him, our bodies moulded together, his strong hands on my waist, with my arms wrapped around his neck, my fingers in his hair.
At this moment, it suddenly feels as though everything else is completely drowned out. Like I am suddenly submerged under water. The only thing I can focus on is James.
"Lily I...I have something to tell you. I love you. I always have, and always will. Until the very end. I-" he says, and I blink in shock and open my mouth to speak before James gently shakes his head and shushes me.
"Lils, let me finish. All those times I asked you out I meant it. But I realise that I was just an idiot boy trying to get the attention of a gorgeous girl. But Lily, I'm different now. Please, give me a chance." he begs, his chocolate eyes pouring into mine.
"Yes." I breathlessly manage before I kiss him. Deeply. Lovingly.
And the rest is history...
