Rose's POV
I wake up in Sandro's arms and I can't move.
Great...
IDEA!
I take the pillow from behind me and start scooting from under him. I place the pillow where I was and run to the bathroom.
Finally, I can shower properly.
I plan on going to the hospital today because, maybe the baby isn't dead? I should've went yesterday.
I look at my wrists.
"Hey my bruises are fading." I mumble to myself. "Those stupid cuffs left a big ass mark."
I hop in the shower and shower about three times. I need all of those three weeks off of me.

"Rose why the hell did you leave without telling me?"
"Because I didn't want to wake you from your slumber that you obviously needed." I answer back, over the phone.
"Where are you?" Sandro asks as there's some shifting and moving in the background.
"At the hospital. I'll be home in like 45 minutes."
"I'm coming to pick you up."
"Sandro. Stay home I'll be back soon, I love you. Bye!" I say quickly hanging up.
The doctor walks in with a frown.
I furrow my eyebrows.
"I'm so sorry to be the one to tell you this," She starts.
"I lost the baby, didn't I?" I say before she could finish.
She nods her head.
"No wait, Are you sure? My baby could still be alive-"
"No ma'am." She says quietly.
"Dammit. Dammit. Fucking dammit. Sorry excuse my language. But what the absolute fuck." I ramble on. She just looks at me then begins writing on the clipboard.
"What if there's the smallest possibility?"
"Ma'am..."
"Damn I really lost my baby..." I say as I start crying.
She walks over and gives me a hug.
"T- Thanks. I needed that." I sniffle.
"You're welcome. I know how hard this could be."
"I guess I'll just learn to live with it..." I mumble and grab a tissue.
"But, on the bright side. That was the fastest 5 stages of grief I've ever seen someone go through. That was about 2 minutes. You'll do great miss." She says with a small smile.
"Thank you."

"Sandro stop being so mad. I was safe at the hospital. No kidnappers there." I say to him as he glares at me while at a red light.
"And what if there were kidnappers?"
"Then I would get kidnapped again."
"And you're okay with that?" He says as he drives off again.
"No, of course not. But if it happened it happened." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"Rose. I cannot lose you again. So please. Stay safe."
"I was safe!"
"Okay. So, how did it go?"
"The baby's dead." I answer with barely any tone of sadness.
It sucks absolute ass that my baby is dead but it was likely to happen. If I keep being sad I'll just end up blaming myself. And then spiraling. And then needing an escape, hence all my book reading before I met Sandro.
So, I'll just learn to live with it.
"Are you okay?" He asks, most likely referring to me losing the baby.
"Yea, I'll be fine. I mean I technically lost the baby three weeks ago, it's just official now." I answer back with a shrug.
"You sure? It's okay to be sad and stuff baby. So are you really okay?" He asks turning to me.
"Yes. I'm okay. I'm actually okay. But you know what you could do to make my day better?"
"I swear, if you ask to braid my hair again."
"Can I pleaseeee?" I smile at him as he starts pulling into the garage.
"No."
"Please???" I ask as he helps me out the car.
"No-"
I cut him off.
"Please? I promise I'll be as quick as possible." I give him my best puppy-dog-eyes.
"No."
"Sandro!!! Please??? I'll even make you a big chocolate cake with the nice frosting and chocolate chips!"
"All for you to braid my hair?"
"Yes! You'll look pretty!" I say poking him.
"Fine." He says as we walk inside.

Sandro sits on the couch while I get my combs and brushes.
"Next up is me doing your makeup!" I joke while I part his hair.
"You are never doing that." He says, turning on the TV.
"You said the same thing about your hair."
He doesn't say anything.
Hah!
Maia and Luca walk in the front door and I wave at them.
Luca raises his eyebrows at Sandro and Mai comes over and gives me a fist bump.
They hang up their coats and sit next to us. Maia sits next to me.
"So, how'd it go at the hospital?" She asks handing me the gel.
"It went fine. My uterus is completely vacant." I say shrugging.
"Damn, you doin okay?" Luca asks after sipping his drink.
"Yea." I reply as I finish my first braid.
"You sure?" Maia asks.
"Yes Mai. I'm actually okay."
I finish up Sandro's cornrows and kiss the top of his head.
"Go look in a mirror!" I say excitedly to him.
He gets up and I smile widely. He walks to the closest mirror and looks at his hair.
"See! I told you you'd look nice." I say smiling.
"You know, I'd actually like for you to do this again." He says smirking.
"Yay!" I say excitedly.
"I love you Rose. And I'm happy you're doing okay. I mean- you are right?" He says after kissing my forehead.
"Yes Sandro. How many time do I have to say it today? I'm actually, and completely, okay." I say hugging him.
"Good. Want to go out for lunch?" He asks me.
"Sure! Can Mai and Luca come too?"
"Sure baby." He says holding my hand and bringing us back to the living room.
