Today was the day.
I was currently pacing back and forth outside the operating room where my mom was having her operation.My dad had gone to the hospital chapel maybe to pray for the success of the operation.It's nearly an hour after they took mom inside the operating room.
Nervousness was slowly creeping into me as the time passes by.I'm having mixed emotions.
Fear..Anxiety..Nervousness.
What if..the operation won't succeed?
What if..it the doctors messed up?
What if..they failed?
What if..what if?
What if's..
Arg! I sat on the chair provided around the vicinity and buried my face into my hands.Tears streamed down my face as soon as random thoughts came into my mind.Damn,Son Chaeyoung!You should be thinking better than this.
I tried calming myself down and think of better thoughts than I did earlier.Mom was strong after all. She'll surely gonna make it.We will make it..
A gentle touch on my shoulder nudged me out of my deep thoughts and there I saw my dad smiling so genuinely.His smiles were giving me courage while his eyes were telling me everything would be alright soon. Right then,I realized Dad was right.

Dad and I immediately stood up when we saw the doctor came out of the room while removing his mask and gloves.I can feel my heart beating louder than the usual the moment the doctor gazed towards us seriously.

I silently prayed hoping the result was positive.
"Mr.Son,your wife was a fighter.We almost lost her in the table twice but she was fighting and I'm glad to say,that the operation was successful.
Congratulations and excuse me."
We both thanked the doctor before he left me and dad alone with so much joy in our hearts.Tears in our eyes and smiles on our lips were all over our faces.
Dad and I both cried due because of relief and happiness.He even gave me a bone-breaking hug but I don't mind since I was doing the same.I was so happy.All my fears and worries were replaced by joy and relief.
There is really sunshine after the rain..

After a few hours,Mom had finally returned back to her room and was peacefully sleeping.The doctor said she would wake up soon but she still needs to stay at the hospital for the meantime until her wounds were perfectly healed. I was sitting beside mom holding her hands while patiently waiting for her to wake up soon.I was really grateful how the operation turned out.
Dad went out for a minute and came back with my grandparents,mom's parents.Oh my,grannies!
"Our dear chaengie!" They called
"Grandpa!Grandma!" I immediately hugged and kissed the both of them.I was really surprised.It's been ages since the last time I saw them.
"Aigoo,my child..You turned out to be handsome like me" grandpa said brushing my hair.
"Your dad told us everything my dear.We are all so proud of you" grandma said and kissed my forehead
"I've really done nothing granny,My friends did.They helped me with everything" I said a bit embarrassed
"Never think like that,our dear..You've been so strong for your family,our family.You've done the best things that a child can do for her family.Thank you chaengie"
Grandma said and hugged me.Soon grandpa and dad joined in hugging me tightly.
"C-can I joined?I want some hugs too,you k-know?"
"Mom!"
We were all surprised seeing mom awake. We all immediately approached and hugged her but in a gentle way since we all know she was still weak at the moment.
After a few minutes of sharing sobs and tears,the room was covered with laughters and happiness.
Grandpa and Grandma started bringing up funny conversations that uplift the moods in the room.
Finally..
Everything was done perfectly..

It's been a week after mom's operation and today was the day that she'll be discharged from the hospital. They are all coming home together with grandpa and grandma who'll gonna stay until mom had fully recovered.I was so happy.
Today was sunday.I decided to held a mini party for my mom good thing my friends helped me,once again.I was really lucky to have these dorks beside me.We are all busy doing decorations and stuffs.We also prepared foods for everyone and before we knew it,we're perfectly done.
It didn't took long when we heard a car's honked. They're here.On my cue,everyone had gone to their places and hide.I slowly opened the door and the moment they all walked in,we all screamed..
"Welcome home!"
They all looked so surprised just like how me and my friends planned.Everyone was so happy like I do. I started introducing my family to my friends and then vice versa.I also introduced Mina to my family as my girlfriend and gladly,they didn't mind.They immediately grew fond of her. They even told Mina to tell them if I was being an ass to her and they'll knocked some senses to me If I do so.
Nayeon,Dahyun,Sana and Jongyeon being the crackheads start dancing and doing funny stuffs that made everyone burst out laughing especially my grandpa who's now very fond of Dahyun.
Soon,we are all eating the foods me and my friends prepared.Grandpa was sharing random stories that made everyone laughed while we were eating. Suddenly Mom faked a cough that grabbed everyone's attention..
"So..um,I just wanna thanked everyone today.To all of you who helped me and my family to overcome everything that happened lately.Thank you especially for looking after our child,Chaeyoung.Thank you."
Mom sincerely said almost tearing up
"Oh,Mrs.Son,it's nothing.Chaeyoung here has been a very good friend to us and the thought of her struggling alone was not a good idea" Dahyun said
"Yeah,and besides friends helped each others right. They have each other's back no matter what" Nayeon blurted out
"Thank you for everything" Dad said
Dad looked into mom's direction and they both stood up.Soon they both bowed after my friends.Me,Grandpa and granma joined in ad bowed too.This was not even enough to show how thankful and grateful we are for them.My friends bowed back to us as everyone shared genuine smiles for each others.

After the party,my friends decided to call it a day since we all had classes tomorrow.They bid goodbyes to my family and promised to visit often.
I opt to walked Mina home.We sat infront of their house and watched the nightskies from above while leaning her head into my shoulders.I wrapped my left arms into her and grabbed her right hand planting soft kisses in to it.
"Thanks for everything,my princess"
I said breaking the comfortable silence that wrapped around us
"You don't have to,you know that.Like we said,we got you.We got each other's backs" Mina said wrapping her free hands to me
"You should go inside,my princess.It's getting late and it's cold out here.I don't want you getting colds or anything" I said and kissed her temple
"Goodnight,changie" she hugged me again
"Goodnight.I love you,my princess" I whispered leaning closer to her claiming her soft lips.
"I love you too"
