*Flashbacks*
As soon as the sun peeked into my window blinding my eyes,I got up from my bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready for school. After doing so,I went down the kitchen to eat something since the coffee from yesterday was the last thing I had until now.I'm about to start eating when my phone rang.It's dad.
"My child?Are you still home yet?Dad asked.I am quiet surprised dad adressing me 'his child' but I'm loving it.
"Yes dad,why?do you guys need anything? I asked back
"I-it's just..you're mom wanna see you.."dad stated
"But,I thought--"
"I told her you already knew everything" he cutted me out
Silence engulfed the both of us not until dad broke it again and told something which I greatly feared.
"S-she's getting worse,chaeng.She needs operation but your mom keeps on refusing it thinking all about the expenses it would create.You need to come here and convince her,please."
"I'll be on my way,dad"
"We'll be waiting"
As soon as the call was dropped I immediately ran back to my room and changed my uniform into hoodies and jeans.I grabbed my bag and removed all my school stuffs and replaced it with few clothes and personal stuffs.After cramming my stuffs quickly, I left our house and went to the hospital dad told me where they were.

I arrived at the hospital and immediately ran to my mother's room.I breathe deeply and calmed myself down for a little while.For a minute,I stood there. Infront of the door gathering my strength and courage before pushing the door opened.
I was greeted by an eery silence that slowly scared me along with the smell of the hospital itself. Dad immediately stood up from sitting on a couch beside the hospital bed where my mom was sleeping.I felt a pang of pain as soon as I saw my mom sleeping with some hospital devices I can't even decipher.
I ran to mom and hugged her.Soon,she was awake. She was probably awake feeling someone crying while hugging her.I felt her hugged me back.Dad joined us too and hugged both me and mom as possible as he can.Somehow,I was glad thinking 'Finally I was able to hugged the both of them" Unfortunately,it had to be in this situation.
After we all calmed down,I told mom how I found out their secret.They smiled proudly and even joke around telling they should have hidden the medical records.I pouted.We all had a normal conversation trying hard not to remember mom's real condition for the moment.Soon the room was filled with jokes and laughters.One of the Moments I'll surely keep in my heart..
Suddenly,there was a knock followed by a doctor and his nurse.They checked my mom's vitals and stuffs before asking dad for a private conversation.As soon as they left,I held mom's hand and smiled.
"I'm sorry,my baby.." mom randomly apologized
"No,mom.I should be the one apologizing to you. I've been busy with other stuffs not even realizing you were struggling something like this.I am sorry"
Sorry.I guess,saying sorry has been my hobby lately. What a shame.I'm really stupid and useless.I'm lame.
"You have done nothing wrong,my child" she smiled,
"Mom?" I called her out looking straight into her eyes as she hummed and looked at me too
"Can't you just consider having an operation.I am sure it'll help you,mom.please?" I begged. I just hope mom would really agree on this operation.
"B-but-" Second thoughts,Worries and Fear. that's what I saw the moment she spoke but I cut her words.
"Please mom,p-please..for me?"

Mom was currently sleeping when my dad gestured to talk with me outside.He told me what did the doctor told him earlier.Mom was getting worse and worse each day.Her body was slowly giving up too. Sleeping almost after every two hours of being awake was clearly the evidence.She can easily gets exhausted just by waking up without even doing nothing.The doctor told us she needs the operation before my mom's body can't.
Sadly,mom doesn't want to.I remember all the emotions her eyes had earlier.The fears,the worries, her second thoughts and doubts.All of those were clearly seen as soon as I asked her about the operation.
"Don't worry,dad.I'll convinced mom again later." I said
"Thank you,my child.I'm sorry I can't even handle everything on my own.I'm a useless father after all"
He fainted a smile
"No dad,you're not.Actually you're a tough one.Thanks for being with mom all through out" I said and hugged him tight making dad hugged me back.
We broke the hug and smiled at each other when I called his attention..
"Dad?"
"Hmmm?" He looked at me once again and smiled genuinely
"Please just stay beside mom and don't worry about anything..the expenses and the bills in particular, I'll take care of it" I promised
"B-but..how?I mean,it's my responsibility. Just do your stuffs.Study and don't mind a thing.I'll surely find ways soon" dad assured
"No,dad.Leave it to me.I'll make evrything right this time,I promise." I said
"Alright,I'll leave it to you knowing how stubborn you are.Just Make sure you're not gonna hurt yourself in any possible way or else I'll squeeze your cheeks harder than this.." dad aqueezed my cheeks like he used to back when Jeonhun and I were jus kids. I had missed this.
"Dad!" I pouted and rubbed my cheeks the moment dad let go of me cheeks.I'm pretty sure my cheeks were red.I'm about to take revenge and squeeze dad's nose when he hugged me again
"Thank you,Chaeyoung,my child.I was so glad and proud you are my child.I love you" He said as I felt a kiss on my temple
"I love you too,dad"

I was currently telling random stories.Funny ones to be exact to help lessen my mom's worries and lift her mood up for the moment..I was peeling the apples and giving it to mom while she's eating it.Dad was out
For a moment.Probably giving me time to convinced mom about the operation.
"Mom!" I snapped mom out of her thoughts
"I-I'm sorry,where were we?" She asked,
"You were spacing out,mom.You missed the best part of my story" I pouted trying to start playing my 'act of convinving her'
"Sorry my baby,I was currently thinking of giving the operation a shot.." she said
I was shocked that it left me so speechless.Did I heard it right?Mom smiled and caressed my cheeks..
"Besides,I don't wanna missed the chance of having a pefect family again..with you and your dad" she smiled,
I immediately hugged mom and cried onto her neck. I was lost into the happiness when dad entered in the room.
"What happened?" Dad asked
"Dad!" I ran to him and hugged him
"Wait,what was happening here?"
"M-mom..mom had f-finally agreed on having the operation!" I stated happily
"I-is it true,honey?" Dad asked mom.
Mom on the other hand nooded..
"I-d don't wanna lose you both..so l-let's do it"
Mom spoke
We hugged mom and cheered her.I am grateful she was giving it a shot.We were all surely happy and excited.It was giving us all hopes that she'll get better soon.She'll be better soon.
Soon,there'll be sunshine after the rain..
