Sitting, I was sitting outside arms folded
As I watched the sky cry yet again, more rain unfolded,

"Don't you ever worry about yourself?
I mean, take a look at it! You're waving and they can't see you,
You're an old dusty book on a shelf
And there ain't no purple, it's just a fading blue!"

And I recalled her eyes capturing the evening moon,
As the darkness ate the light I couldn't cry but grin
At how memories and emotions could turn an evening to noon.

Drip-drop and the gods were again peeing,
Ending my bittersweet sightseeing,
The rains rang out and pattered on the asphalt leaving me one realisation!

"Look, you're gonna have to make it, I told you no one cares.
You've gotta climb these stairs and go or we'll always be downstairs,
Look up to people and you'll just keep falling and start counting despairs!"

Then it hit me twice before I left the rain,
Perhaps I was talking to myself again.
