I throw my head back, swallowing the strong tequila. I pull a face as I feel the liquid burn my throats as it travel down my oesophagus. "Get in there Y/N!" My best friend Janelle shouts as I smile at her. "I really needed this. Thank you bestie." I say as I hug her side as she gives me a big smile, "You've been working your ass off. I don't blame you!" She shouts over the music as it blares from the clubs speakers.
"Let's go dance!" She shouts as she pulled me to the dance floor. I let the alcohol take over my body as I move to the beat and dance with my best friend. I needed this break from all my work that I was getting from University. Medical school was not to be messed with.
"Where is Raheem?" She asks, already forgetting that I told her as I arrived. "Well Dory, he didn't want to come out because he has a game in two days time and needs to rest properly." I say, referring her to Dory from finding Nemo. "Dory?" She questions as I roll my eyes. "Oh! You're so funny, shit!" She says as she bursts into a fit of giggles. I shake my head but can't help laughing at my blonde best friend.
"Why hello ladies." I hear behind me as I turned around to face a very tall guy with tattoos covering his muscular arms. "Why hello handsome." Jenelle says as I roll my eyes but still smile at the young man. "Hey." I say softly as he winks at me. "Could I have this dance with the both of you?" He questions as Jenelle nods. I nod, not worrying about him being anywhere near me.
The three of us start dancing, enjoying our time. I look down at my phone seeing that it is 11pm. I also see several messages and missed calls from Raheem. "Listen, I have to go. Be safe and have fun Jan." I say to Janelle as she nods and hugs me. "Bye Garry." I say to the young man as he waves back to me and continues to grind up on Janelle.
I walk out of the bar and walk back home as it wasn't a long walk from mine and Raheem's house to this specific club. I quickly press on Raheem's contact on my phone wanting to call him back. Instead, it goes to voicemail. I sigh as role my eyes. I was probably in big trouble as he often does that whenever I did something wrong.
I eventually arrive home as I open the door to a quiet household. I hang up my coat and take off my heals and place them by the door. "I'm home babe!" I shout but earning no answer. I shrug my shoulders as I walk to the kitchen and grab myself some water to drink.
I hear Raheem clear his throat behind me as I turn around with a smile on my face, "Hey you! I missed you." I say walking to him, wanting to engulf him in a tight hug. Instead, he puts his hands up and frowns down at me. "Explain this." He says calmly as he shows me his phone. I look at the picture to see myself and Janelle dancing with Gary. "Oh, that's just myself and Janelle dancing with Gary." I say with a shrug as he shakes his head.
"That doesn't just look like some innocent dancing. Look, you're grinding on him for Christ sakes in this picture!" He shouts as he shows me another picture. I take a close look to see it is actually Janelle. "That's Janelle." "Do you think I'm stupid Y/N?" "Well fuck, clearly. That's not me!" I shout, anger taking over me as the seconds passed by.
"How is that not you! You cheated on me, didn't you! Admit it!" He bellowed as I flinched from the echo. "I didn't! Jenelle and I both wore similar dresses." I say in defense but in truth. He scoffed in return and looked me dead in the eye, "How could you cheat on me?" He asks, sadness filling his eyes. "I promise I didn't! I would never do that to you." I say softly as I place my hand on his arm. He pulls away as he shakes his head.
"Take the couch. I'll see you tomorrow morning and we will discuss when you're not drunk." He says as he turns around and walks up to our shared room without another word. "Fucker." I grumble to myself as I lay down on the couch and instantly fall asleep as I was beyond tired and frustrated.
I woke up with a slight migraine and to the smell of eggs cooking. I sit up to see Raheem making eggs. I stand up and look at my boyfriend of two years. "Hey." I say softly, not really knowing what he was gonna say. "Hey. Listen about last night..." he trailed off as he walked towards me. "I now know that it's Janelle." He says as I scoff, "So why couldn't you believe me last night?"
"I'm so sorry. Y/N, I'm so in love with you. I honestly want to marry you one day and that day will hopefully be soon. I was frustrated that I couldn't enjoy a night out with my girlfriend and when I saw that picture... rage and jealously entered my veins and I took you out for no reason at all. I'm so sorry." He finishes as I smile at him softly.
I walk towards him and close the gap between us by placing my lips on his soft lips. I pull away as I smile at him, "It's okay. I get it but please trust me next time around. I wouldn't never do anything to jeopardize what we have." I say as a smile plays on his lips. "I love you Y/N." he says as he kisses my temple and then buries his head in my neck. "I love you too Raheem."

Hi everyone! Sorry that I have been very quiet but man school as been something else. Because of Covid, the school year has been a mess! I am however done with term 3 (third semester) and I'm on holiday for a week so I'll be able to write and post more frequently! Unfortunately after this holiday, I will be in a bit of a pickle as exams are coming up and I need to do really well in them as I am sending these end of the year marks to Universities to be able to study. I will try and update when I can tho! I have also been focusing on my F1 book so I'm sorry if it has seemed as if I have forgotten this book but I promise I haven't. I have also been struggling with ideas hence the random updates as I randomly get ideas to be fair. Stay safe everyone! Lots of love xx
