🌨Elsa's Pov🌨
"Oops! Pardon. Sorry. Can we just get around you there? Thank you. Oh, there she is. Elsa!" I hear Anna say as she comes over to me. "I mean...Queen.... Me again. Um. May I present Prince Hans of the Southern Isles."
"Your Majesty." the prince says
"We would like—your blessing—of—our marriage!" Hans and Anna say talking over each other.
"Marriage...?" I asked
"Yes!" Anna says squealing
"I'm sorry, I'm confused." I tell her
"Well, we haven't worked out all the details ourselves. We'll need a few days to plan the ceremony. Of course we'll have soup, roast, and ice cream and then-Wait." Anna says rambling. "Would we live here?" She asked Hans
"Here?" I asked
"Absolutely!" Hans replies
"Anna--" I say trying to get her attention.
"Oh, we can invite all twelve of your brothers to stay with us-" Anna says to Hans
"What? No, no, no, no, no." I say
"Of course we have the room. I don't know. Some of them must--" Anna continues
"Wait. Slow down. No one's brothers are staying here. No one is getting married." I tell her after finally being able to get her to shut up for 5 minutes
"Wait, what?" Anna asked
"May I talk to you, please. Alone." I ask
"No. Whatever you have to say, you- you can say to both of us." Anna says
"Fine. You can't marry a man you just met." I tell her truthfully
"You can if it's true love." Anna says back
"Anna, what do you know about true love?" I ask her
"More than you. All you know is how to shut people out." Anna snaps back
"You asked for my blessing, but my answer is no. Now, excuse me." I tell her as I started to walk away
"Your Majesty, if I may ease your-" Prince Hans started to say
"No, you may not. And I-I think you should go." I tell the prince. "The party is over. Close the gates." I tell the guards.
"What? Elsa, no. No, wait!" Anna says calling after me as she grabs my glove
"Give me my glove!" I shout
Anna holds the glove away from me.
"Elsa, please. Please. I can't live like this anymore." Anna says desperately
I fight back tears.
"...Then leave." I say
I sees Anna's hurt face. It's too much. I can't hold it in. I turns and rush away.
"...What did I ever do to you?!" Anna shouts heartbroken
The party goes silent as everyone watches us.
"Enough, Anna." I say sternly
"No. Why? Why do you shut me out?! Why do you shut the world out?! What are you so afraid of?!" Anna says as she keeps pushing me to my breaking point
"I said, enough!" I yelled and as I turned around ice shoots from my hand creating ice spikes across the floor. The guests cry out in shock and back away.
"...Sorcery. I knew there was something dubious going on here." The duke says
"Elsa...?" I hear Anna whisper
I grabbed the door knob and throw the door open as I run out of the room. I keep running. I threw open the front doors to the courtyard where all the villagers were waiting to see me. They started to cheer.
"There she is. Queen Elsa.Our beautiful queen." I hear people in the crowd say
I duck through the crowd, holding my bare hand.
"Your Majesty? Are you all right?" A woman holding her baby asked
I back away from the baby, worrying that if it gets to close that I might hurt it like I did with Anna. I bump into the fountain grabbing the edge of it. The fountain freezes at my touch. Gasps of shock and fear sweep over the crowd. The Duke and his thugs come out the front door.
"There she is! Stop her!" He shouts
"Please, just stay away from me. Stay away!" I shout at the duke holding up my hands in front of me
Magic accidentally shoots from my hand and turns the staircase into ice. The thugs and the Duke fall.
"Monster.... Monster!" He yells pointing at me
The crowd panics. The woman holding her baby back away clutching her baby close to her chest. A father pulls his daughters closer to him.
"Elsa!" I hear Anna call as I continued to run
Hans follows closely behind her. I run down the steps and down to the edge of the water. The shoreline freezes under my feet. I gasp.
"Elsa! Wait, please!" Anna calls out
I glances back at Anna, but turn away. I tentatively steps out onto the fjord. It freezes instantly. I break into a run as the water freezes over with each step.
"Elsa, stop!" I heard her yell but I am already on the other side of the fjord. I continued to run not bothering to look back.
🌻Anna's Pov🌻
"Look.... The fjord." Hans says
I looked up to see the ice spreading out until the entire fjord is frozen, locking the ships in place. Hans and I walked back into the courtyard. Snow starts to fall as we move through the panicking crowd.
"Snow? It's...snow...in July." I hear a woman say
"...Are you all right?" Hans asked
"No." I tell him still shocked
"Did you know?" He asked
"No." I reply
Nearby, the Duke flutters about in fright.
"Look! It's snowing! It's snowing! The Queen has cursed this land! She must be stopped!" He exclaimed. "You have to go after her." He says to his thugs
I rush up to the Duke.
"Wait, no!" I shout
The Duke hides behind his thugs and points out at me.
"You! Is there sorcery in you, too? Are you a monster, too?" He asked angrily
"No. No. I'm completely ordinary." I tell the duke
"That's right she is......in the best way." He says placing a hand on my shoulder
"...And my sister's not a monster." I tell him
"She nearly killed me." The duke said
"You slipped on ice." Hans replied
"Her ice!" The duke snapped back
"It was an accident. She was scared. She didn't mean it. She didn't mean any of this.... Tonight was my fault. I pushed her. So I'm the one that needs to go after her." I said
"Yes. Fine. Do." The duke replies to my decision
"What?" Hans asked
"Bring me my horse, please." I ask Kai
"Anna, no. It's too dangerous." Hans said worriedly
"Elsa's not dangerous. I'll bring her back, and I'll make this right." I tell him.
Kai brings me my horse and a cloak.
"I'm coming with you." Hans tells me
"No, I need you here to take care of Arendelle." I tell him
"...On my honor." He says
I put on the cloak and Kai helps me onto my horse, coronation dress and all.
"I leave Prince Hans in charge!" I tell the crowd
"Are you sure you can trust her?" He asked. "I don't want you getting hurt." He said with worry in his voice
"She's my sister; she would never hurt me." I tell him
I snap the reins and ride out. Hans watches me ride away in search for Elsa.
