-1 week later
Chris

"No, 'dis is all wrong. I asked for a black couch, red pillows, black vases, red roses. Where's Yasmine? Yasmine!?"

"Yes?" She exhaled loudly

(Pictured: Yasmine)

"Where's the receipt to the furniture order?"

"Right here" she took it off her clipboard "What's wrong?"

"They sent everything in the wrong color." My eyes skimmed the receipt

"What you mean?"

"I got blue and yellow furniture sitting outside my shop. I specifically asked for everything red, white, and black. How the hell they get that confused?"

"Calm down before you bust a vein." She chuckled "I'll take care of it, you need a drink of water...or a shot of Patron." She mumbled, taking the receipt

Yasmine's been my friend since high school, she came to Atlanta with me and is now my business partner. She handles the small things and paper work, I'm the owner of course.

In case you're wondering, no we've never dated or fucked. Yas is more "accustomed to her own kind" for a better use of words. But if you still don't understand, she likes pussy.

"Alright, they should have the right furniture here by tomorrow morning. Did you finish painting the last room?"

"Thanks, Yas. Yeah, just gotta' take the tape down."

"All the wires fixed?"

"Yeah. You know, I'm starting to feel like you're the boss." I chuckled, wiping my sweaty forehead with my shirt

"Just helping you keep track. Third Eye is all yours and will be open for business in 6 weeks." She smiled, looking around the semi empty building

"Yup...we really doing it." I wrapped my arm around her shoulder

"Yup, you really need a bath." She pinched her nose, moving away

"I ain't that bad" I laughed, grabbing my phone from my pocket

"You right, it's worse."

I sucked my teeth, fanning her off. "Mario said him and da' guys going out for drinks. You down?" I read the text message out loud to her

"Nah, the wife wanted me home an hour ago."

"And that is why I'll never get married. Y'all both women and you still got a curfew." I shook my head

"Not a curfew, fool." She hit me upside the head "I just have respect for my wife and my household. You'll understand one day, when you stop being a ho."

"Ho? That's harsh" I touched my chest, pretending to be hurt

"A funky ho." She laughed, spraying air freshener near my underarm

*

"Look who finally decided to join us." Mario joked

"Had to stop by da' house and clean up real quick. Some of us actually care about our appearance and shit."

"Dis' lil' nigga think he so fly." Mario laughed

"Flyest nigga you know." I shrugged  "But when y'all said get drinks, I thought you meant like at a club. This a damn poetry bar."

"A grown folk vibe, young blood. You couldn't begin to understand the half of it." Damien, a longtime friend, chimed in

(Pictured: Damien)

"Nigga y'all only like three years older than me."

"Six, youngin'." Stefan, another friend of ours, drank his beer

(Pictured: Stefan)

"Yeah, yeah. Y'all act old as hell too. Got me in a damn poetry bar." I took a shot of Hennessy

"Coming to the stage, we have the beautiful Erin Daniels, show yo' love." The host announced

I diverted my attention toward the stage, grabbing a fresh shot glass.

She walked on and I took a shot, then gave her all my attention. She looked good, per usual.

"Hi." She spoke into the mic with her soft tone "This poem is entitled, The Flower that Grows. It's shorter than normal so bare with me."

She then opened her book, placing her pen in her bun.

"In good soil you plant my seed and water me.
You give me sunlight as I flourish each day.
You protect me through rain, hail, sleet, and snow.
But it seems just as I start to grow, you start to know...that I've become a flower.
A flower that will one day be picked, a flower that won't fertilize with your bullshit, a flower that grows in peace and light...
A healthy flower.
That gets watered by the hour.
A flower that grows slowly but surely.
Maturely...A Flower that Grows." She looked up with her big, pretty eyes once she was done "Thank you."

Everybody started snapping and shit, but I was just left in awe. I've never listened to poetry, but her words were beautiful. I could tell she really enjoyed herself.
I got up from the table to go find her.

"Where you goin'?" Stefan asked

"I know where he goin'." Mario chuckled, shaking his head

Their conversation carried on as I started making my way to the back.

"Hey Chris thanks for the tat. I love it and it's healing beautifully." Some girl approached me

"Yeah, no problem." I smiled and walked pass her

I didn't mean to come across as rude, but I have to admit I'm on a mission for shordy.

Soon as I reached backstage I spotted her talking to some people. I waited until she was done having her conversation, then approached her.

"That was a beautiful poem."

She turned around to face me "Thank you, I didn't even see you out there."

"Yeah, I just came in. You wanna grab a drink? Maybe you could tell me more about your poetry."

"I was just about to head out, actually. Maybe another time."

"Aw, come on. Tomorrow ain't promised. Don't leave me wishing on empty promises."

She tried to fight it, but cracked a smile "One drink"

"After you" I stepped aside, letting her go first

While she walked, the dog in me couldn't help but notice her figure. She's so petite yet curvy, enough to make a nigga mouth water.

"Yo!" Damien called from the table, waving me over there

I fanned them off as we approached a booth.

"Oh you were with people?" She asked while sitting

"Yeah, but they not important." I sat across from her

"Oh and I am?"

"You could be."

"Smooth talka'." She nodded assuringly, softly nibbling on her bottom lip

"Just being honest, beautiful."

"I thought we were having a drink." She raised an eyebrow

"And talking. You supposed to be telling me about poetry, remember?" I signaled the waiter as I waited for her to start talking

"I just write from time to time, nothing major." She shrugged "Now photography, that's my first love."

"Word? I would've never guessed you a photographer."

"Well I'm currently a dental assistant, but a professional photographer is definitely a short term goal."

I nodded liking the fact that she has something going for herself. "I fuck wit' it."

"How can I help you?" The waiter asked

I stayed quiet and gestured for her to order first "I'd like a Long Island."

"And I'll take a Hennessy on the rocks."

"Alright, be right back." The waiter walked off

"Hennessy? You've either had a long day or you're preparing for a long night"

"A little of both." I wasn't trying to hide the fact I wanted to take her back to my place tonight

"Mm." She a smirk danced on her lips "Tell me more about you."

"I'm a plain nigga. I do tattoos, a lil bit of painting. I just finished refurnishing my tattoo shop, opening's in a few weeks."

"That doesn't sound plain to me. It's very interesting actually."

"Guess you could say that." I shrugged "So when did you start liking poetry?"

"You not gonna' let the poetry thing go huh?" She chuckled

"Nah."

"I picked up on it a few years ago." She shrugged "Just started writing what was in my heart."

"And what's in your heart?" I leaned forward

The waiter returned with our drinks

"Thank you" we said almost in unison

She sipped from her straw before saying "I don't know, a lot."

I drank from my cup "What if I told you I'm interested in what's in your heart?"

"I'd say you must really be a lightweight talkin' like that."

"I'm serious. Can I?"

Omniscient

"Mm!" Erin moaned into Chris' mouth as they entered his condo, practically ripping each other's clothes off

One drink turned into two for her and three for him.
The sexual tension got the best of them both, making it hard to ignore.
He lifted her up, placing her on the kitchen counter. The bed was just too far right now.

"Wait, you got a-"

He pulled out a magnum, answering her question.

She smiled, pulling him in for an even deeper kiss. His hands explored her body, lifting her dress while massaging her smooth thighs. He pulled her toward the edge of the counter, pressing his growing erection into her dripping center.
His lips eased their way to her neck, kissing and sucking every chance he got. She gripped his shirt between her fist before proceeding to help him take it off.

Chris unbuckled his pants and slid down his briefs before putting the condom on. Erin bit her lip, staring in lust, while sliding her soaked panties to the side. She wrapped her legs around him as he aligned with her center, slowly filling her insides.

"Shiiit" they cursed in unison

He held her, pumping his hips as the sounds of her wetness flowed between them.

"Mmm Chris" once she got used to his size she began gyrating her hips to match his rhythm

He grinned before planting a lustful, heated kiss on her lips. The sound of his name rolling off her tongue did something to him, something he liked.

As for Erin, she didn't know if it was the liquor or what, but she'd never felt this way with Derrick before. Yet strangely, she felt a sense of comfortableness with Chris...even if it was just sex.
She enjoyed how he held her body, making her feel every inch of him, the rhythm of his hips, how he caressed her. It was an overload of passion and pleasure

Just as he groaned into her neck, Erin's legs began shaking. Moans and cursed words escaped her mouth as she reached her climax, falling deep into ecstasy. She had never came that fast and hard before, hell rarely at all. This was different, she liked it.
Before she could even collect herself, he was pumping inside of her again, making her press her body into his.

"Ooo fuck" she threw her head back, letting him have his way with her
And that's just what he did, all night long. With breaks in between of course.

Top of the morning folks.
I have hella unpublished chapters just waiting to be released.
