I look around me, the people weren't looking at us albeit some few were startled at the sudden shout from Ji An. Fortunately, I managed to clamp her mouth before blurting out anything that would definitely sentence us to death and motioned for Ming Chen to move along.
I took them to a dark and narrow alleyway, just some steps away from the restaurant, my finger pinching between my eyebrows as I sighed in relief.
I was fortunate enough to quickly think of a solution and thus, had avoided a war. Looking at the two troublemakers behind me, one was too starstruck to even notice the impending danger behind her actions and the other was staring at me without breaking any eye contact.
"You- do you realize how much trouble we're gonna get if someone notice us?" I seethed in anger and disbelief.
He doesn't know the saying trouble issues from the mouth! He's too careless and I felt a sudden surge of annoyance came over me.
"Calm down Feng-er-"
"Calm- calm down?! Do you even realize how afraid I was w-when...when you decided to show up without telling me?! You could have- no, we would be in trouble and perhaps you would break up with me because of the trouble you're about to get from me!"
I think I was just too stressed today and said everything that I'm insecure and feared of. It was like all the things that I bottled up was just too much for me to contain any more that it blasted.
Great, everything is ruined now! He'll break up with me because I'm too much trouble now! We won't be together anymore and I won't become his wife how! Ugh! I hate everything! I'm too emotional today and my mood hasn't been good since the last couple of days and now, it all burst!
"Feng Mian, I'm not breaking up with you. There's no if, don't even ask, we won't break up. Sorry for scaring you, are you calm now?" He was careful towards me, I gripped his shirt and nuzzled my head on his shoulders.
I calmed myself down after several breaths, the smell of Ming Chen mixed in with the cold air and I was soon beet red from embarrassment.
I shouldn't have done that, god, that was too much for me! It was just a chicken feather, garlic skin thing and I blew it all up!
"I'm sorry... I- I was just-"
"Shh, it's fine, it's my bad too okay? Don't be angry anymore, hm? I feel sad now, do you want me to be happy again? Kiss me, en?" His words were too provocative for my hearing that I couldn't help but kiss him to stop him from blurting more rubbish.
I just placed a quick peck on his lips before his hands crept up to my neck as he holds me there, angling his head making the kiss longer than I expected.
"I think I should go..."
Then all of a sudden, I heard a timid voice from behind me and I looked back and saw my cousin blushing from the tips of her ears to her entire face.
Goodness! I think she just saw me in my most embarrassing state! No!
"Ji An...no wait- just uh...stay there I'm just gonna- yeah" I was too preoccupied at the realization of being seen in my most shameful state that I didn't see the grin on Ming Chen's face.
"Yep, no...no worries.. go" she motioned for me with an awkward look as she stand away from us, still standing stiffly.
I massaged my head from all the events that just happened, yep, I think it's my hormones giving it's greetings. I wanted to bang my head so much but I endured it and looked at Ming Chen.
"Sorry" I sheepishly said while he laughed lightly before placing a chaste kiss on my forehead.
"Silly Feng-er, don't be scared anymore hm? Tell me your fears, I'll show you that you shouldn't have those kind of thoughts anymore" I nodded and he continued. "So, mind tagging me along with your relatives?"
Oh God.

I did everything I can to make him look more normal and just someone you can see in the streets. But of course it didn't happen, just his tall stature managed to attract people's attention moreover his face was hidden with his glasses and mask. I mean any person with react the same when seeing a man with glasses on the middle of the night, you know looking at him with weird looks.
"Don't you think I look a bit....weird?" Ming Chen said as he tugged on his glasses.
"Weird is an understatement but we don't have any idea just....act normal as possible" he laughed in response making me irritated once more. "Shut up" I hissed before dragging him to the restaurant.
"My lovely bean..." A drifting voice from a familiar person said which made me but my lips in frustration.
I forgot about Ji An! Ugh! She's someone who really idolizes Ming Chen and now, just seeing him must have sent a shock to her core. I mean I don't blame her, I was like that too when I met my idol.
Ming Chen came here after seeing my brother's post on his weibo account. I didn't ask him why he's free or if he's with his family, I just decided that I'll wait for him to tell me himself.
My cousin was silently screaming all the way to the restaurant. I couldn't even see her acting this...this forward and desperate. Do I look like that too when I met my idol? I don't know but it is sure is cheesy to look at.
"I can't believe it, I'm seeing my lovely bean! Ah, I'm a successful fan, a very successful one!" She said softly but the excitement in her tone is still there.
Finally, we arrived to the room where almost all of my relatives are. The people who knew me for years is inside that door and is about to meet the person that they see on television.
Oh goodness, I don't think I can do this.
"Hey, just relax, I'm the one who should be tense" Ming Chen joked while I glare at him before taking my gaze off of him and into the door.
"I'll be going in first" Ji An said while I nodded in response, still unable to say something.
It's been a minute or so but it felt like years before Ming Chen took my hand in me and opened the door.
Before he did that, he whispered in my ear that made my whole body loose it's tension.
"Trust your man, en?"

• Chicken feather, garlic skin, an idiom where both chicken feathers and garlic skin are the rubbish left when cooking a chicken. Being worthless, they attract little attention. The Chinese use the expression chicken feathers and garlic skin to describe something unimportant or worthless.
• Trouble issues from the mouth, an idiom that means a loose tongue may cause a lot of trouble.
• Lovely bean, slang for idol; Lovely bean aka 愛(ai)豆(dou) in mandarin sounds the same as idol.

Hi people! Let's see if Ming Chen can pass Feng Mian's relatives though it's a bit of a cheat cause there's already some people who favours on him.
