Clarke's POV
"Clarke, honey. When was the last time you kissed someone, huh?" Raven asked me and I gave her an angry stare, but she just looked at me seriously.
"Well, I..." I tried to recall when was it, but... I couldn't. It was probably with Finn.
"Screw that," Octavia said, smirking at me and looking at someone next to us. Raven also looked there.
"Was that... Lexa Woods staring at our Clarkie?" Raven asked, unbelievingly.
"Yes," Octavia nodded. "Yes, it was." The girls started laughing.
"Stop it," I nudged both of them and without waiting for them, I started walking to the class. After a few seconds, they were next to me. Raven put her shoulder on me. She looked at Octavia.
"She is hot, isn't she, O?" Raven smirked at her.
"Oh, yeah. I mean she is also heartless. You know, we call her commander. But these arms... they put every single ball through the ring. And you haven't seen her shirtless, yet." Octavia nodded. And when they noticed my furious face, they started laughing.
"Just kidding, Clarkie."
"Don't call me like that," I pointed at her. Raven rose her hands in defense.
"Very well," she said and again put her arm around me, with an annoying grin on her face.
After four boring periods, I walked out, on fresh air, and headed to the spot, where I and my friends were always sitting.
"Hi," Mya said, as she noticed me. She patted the place next to her, and I sat there.
"Hey," I answered, giving her a fake smile.
Octavia, Raven, Luna, and Harper were sitting together, in the small circle, and they were turned to me so that I could see only their backs. But when I spoke, they immediately turned around and came closer. Harper gave me an apologetic stare.
Here we go.
"Guys," Octavia started, turning the attention of the entire group on her. "Clarke doesn't want to come to our party." All of them looked at me shocked and surprised.
"This party begins the entire school year!" Jasper said.
"Blakes have the best parties!" Mont added and Octavia smiled at him.
"Especially the first one!" Mya seconded them.
"You can't miss that!" Lincoln ended.
I really didn't want to come to this party. All of those people, and mostly strangers. This awful smelt of sweating, dancing people. Lights and loud music. And drunk, pushies guys. Nope. Thanks, but no. I'll pass.
"I don't know," I rubbed the back of my neck, looking at my legs. "I just don't want." I looked up, hoping that they will understand.
But... why would they.
Raven got even pissed. "Clarke! You need to get over him."
I stood up angry. How dared is she telling me what I need to do? She? Her mother, who is always drunk and is abusing her, just to get more money to get even drunker. Or her father, who left her for no reason. Or maybe Finn? Because she was with him too. When he cheated on her. With me!
I wanted to scream at her face many bad things.
But I fought this urge and just walked away. After a few steps, some strong-arm stopped me, turning me to her. Raven was looking at me. She was fighting too. Her face was half pissed and half sorry. I decided to help her.
"Leave me alone!" I took my hand from her, harshly. And fastly walked away.
This time she didn't stop me.
The rest of the school pasted slowly, but finally, I was heading back home. I didn't talk to any of my friends again. A few more periods were boring, but also lonely. As I was walking away from them, I was already regretting it. But it didn't stop me, though.
My mom and Kane were at home when I got there. They were sitting on the couch, bitterly fighting. When I shut the door, they noticed me.
"Clarke! What's going first, milk or cereals?" Kane asked, pointing at me, with hope.
I shrugged. "I don't know. Cereals, I think."
"Told you so," Kane smiled at mom. And she looked at me sad that I chose his side. But, how could I know?
They started arguing again. Mom couldn't let cereals win. I only smirked at them and headed upstairs to my room. I tried to do my homework, but I couldn't. Pissed and hurt Raven was sitting in my head. I took my notebook and started drawing.
I didn't know what I was drawing until I saw it. It was a ball. A basketball, to be exact. Odd.
I finished it in the next few minutes. And had my mind clear again, so that I could do my homework. After that, I took out my phone and opened our group chat.
Clarke 😺 - I'm sorry, guys.
Raven 🔧 - ...
Clarke 😺 - And I'll come to this party.
Raven 🔧 - ...
Clarke 😺 - Could you, please, forgive me, Raven?
Raven 🔧 - ... Only if you'll pick me up tomorrow
Clarke 😺 - Deal
Raven 🔧 - Then, Clarke Griffin. You are forgiven.
Octavia 🌸 - Wow, Reyes. You can keep your anger for such a long time.
Raven 🔧 - Oh, shut up, Blake. You can't be mad at Lincoln for more than ten minutes.
Lincoln 💪 - It's not a bad thing, though.
Jasper ☢️ - You are not better, Linc.
Lincoln 💪 - Jasper, you cried after one of your fights with Mya.
Mya 🌳 - Really?
Jasper ☢️ - I did not.
Harper 🎶 - He did.
Raven 🔧 - He totally did.
Monty 🖥️ - As a loyal friend I'm telling that he didn't
Jasper ☢️ - You see? That's my bro
I laughed at their talk. I wanted to type something, but my mom shouted at me from downstairs, and I went there. My mom was standing there, with someone behind her.
"Clarke, this is Madi," the girl stepped next to my mom so that I could see her. "She will be living with us until Sunday." I looked at the girl, confused, but she was focused on her shoes. "Her dad, my cousin, he had to go on some business travel, and he left Madi here." Mom smiled at us.
"Okay," I only said, not sure what else I could tell. My mom nodded. I stepped closer and stretched my hand to her. She looked at it, then unsure at me, and slowly took it. "Hi," I started, smiling at her. "I'm Clarke."
"Madi," she whispered.
My mom again smiled at us and took Madi upstairs to show her guest room. I looked at Kane, which was sitting at the couch, watching TV, and then sat next to him.
"How old is she?" I asked.
"6 years old," Kane answered, still looking at the TV. I shrugged and also started watching. It was some boring documentary about some history stuff.
After ten minutes mom and Madi came to us, and also sat on the couch. Kane turned off the TV and looked at them.
"Madi. What you would say if we would go to the entertainment park, this Friday?" Kane asked. Madi's face brightened at the idea, and she happily nodded. I only smiled. Kane again turned on the TV and chose some tale. Madi had to like it, because she started watching it, with a curiosity.
We were watching until mom said that it's time to go sleep for Madi. I also went to my room, get changed, and went under the covers.
I turned off the light and took my laptop. I started watching Stranger Things.
After a few episodes, I closed my laptop and was about to fall asleep, when my phone started buzzing madly. I sighed and took it. It was obviously the group chat.

Raven 🔧 - Come on, guys! I thought maybe we could go somewhere?

Clarke 😺 - Raven, it's 2 a.m.
Lincoln 💪 - Okay. I know what's going on. Who gave her sugar for the night?
Luna 🌊 - It was me...
Mya 🌳 - Luna!
Luna 🌊 - I'm sorry, okay? I forgot.
Raven 🔧 - Maybe someone wants to go on running??
Clarke 😺 - Reyes, go to sleep.
And after that, I turned notifications on my phone off. I was too tired for this conversation. I let them deal with her. Sugar and Raven, wasn't a good combination, especially for the night.
