Flooding

The memories come floodin'

At first it's just a drippin'

What's left of a love once lost

Came back and filled my world with frost

My head starts tumblin'

As my heart starts cavin' in

As I think of the memories we have

My world starts darkenin'

As the water comes seepin' in

Making it hard to see the stars

The sun ain't shining through

The rain's here because of you

You left me so broken and bruised...

But now I'm lookin at a different view

A world here without you

But now I'm stronger then I ever knew

A light starts sparkin'

The walls start strenghtenin'

As I dance in the comfort that I've built

Water starts evaporatin'

My resistance is never endin'

I'll make a rainbow out of the rain

The flood started comin in

But with my aim to win

I held the roof over my head

I repelled the negative

Made my own positive

I made a rainbow out of the flood

Out of the flood...
