I opened my eyes to see a white ceiling. 'Hmm..? I'm still not dead.' White ceiling. White room. White bed. A gown. Tubes all over my body. Yup, a hospital. I turned my head to the side to see a sleeping woman in a chair beside my hospital bed.
"U-umm. H-hel-lo...?" I said, struggling. It's so painful to speak. Thankfully, the woman woke up.
"O my god. Y/n! Thank goodness you're alive!" The woman said.
She looked familiar. She looked like my mom but different. Why the hell does she look like an anime character? What's with the animation? I looked at my hands to see that it also looks like an animation.
"M-may I have a m-mirror?" I cursed at my stuttering.
"A mirror? Of course, sweety. But I don't see the reason though. Your face is alright." She said, searching for a mirror in her bag. She handed me the mirror and as I both expected and not expected. I look like an anime character. 'But that's impossible. I was a real person back then when I was shot. So how did I became like this? Oh... Maybe it's just a dream.'
"Umm. M-mom?" Still not sure if this woman is truly my mother.
"Yes, sweety? How are you?" Ok. That means she really is my mother.
"I'm fine. But can you p-pinch me?" Ok. A dumb question to ask. But I don't see why I won't ask her.
"Umm. Ok?"
"Ouch!" Ok. She really didn't hold back. There's pain. That means it really is real. If this is real. I'll test this woman. Starting by her name.
"Mom. What's your name?" Silence. I hate it. Why? Did I not say it clearly?
"Y/n dear. Are you really okay? You have been asking weird questions... Do I need to call a doctor?"
Yeah. It does sound weird. Considering that I may have been transported to another world or reincarnated as an anime character. 'What's this? Shield hero? Re: zero? Pfft. Hilarious' I'll just act as if I don't know anything that happened.
"Umm. Can I know your name? My mind's fuzzy right now." You may be thinking why I haven't panicked yet. Inside, I'm pretty much panicking. But Senku taught me that we need to be logical. So that's what I'm doing. Be logical. Panicking won't solve this situation.
"I'm sorry sweety. But I need to call the doctor first. Maybe you have amnesia right now. Oh my gosh." Well, seems like my 'mother' is logical enough not to panic. But her calling the doctor gave me time to analyze everything. I was shot in a store. Died. And somehow resurrected as an anime. But there's no logical explanation for this to happen. Maybe it's a second chance. Yeah! Maybe some gods heard my prayer that I want to be an anime character. I don't know. But I need to act like it's nothing.
I turned my head when I heard the sound of a door being opened. A doctor went in. My mom walked up to him and went to talk to him. I can't what they're talking about so I just went to sleep.

"It seems like your daughter has amnesia. But there's no danger in telling her what has been happening to her life till now. So you can tell her everything that happened and also the 'secret'. "
"Fine. I'll tell her that. But I need to wait for my husband first. Thanks, Doctor."
