you tried to sleep. but kept on tossing and turning the entire night.
the thought of what Soonyoung did kept you up throughout the night. and the fact that he told you that he likes you somehow confuses you.
you reached out for your phone the check the time, and it was currently 3 in the morning. you know you won't be able to sleep anytime soon, so you carefully stood up from the bed to avoid waking up Woozi and the others. and went to the balcony to get some air.
"i do like him a lot... but.. will i be able to live a lie?", you thought.
you went back inside and went downstairs. you fell asleep on the sofa again. when you woke up it was 5:27 in the morning. you slept so little. you then stood there for 5 minutes, then decided to cook breakfast. soon enough, everyone woke up.
in the middle of eating you were avoiding Soonyoung's gaze. but his' were ficed on you.
Jieun: you cooked breakfast for us 2 days in a row now..
Dino: i should've helped you.
: /you chuckled, it's fine.
Minghao: we'll do the dishes Aera. /he smiled
: thank you oppa. well.. i'll just go upstairs.
Cheol: okay. thank you for cooking!
Vernon: thank you for the food!
you smiled then went upstairs. as soon as you laid down, you fell asleep. soon enough you woke up. you looked over by the balcony, you could hear people talking by the pool so you peaked.
Dino: Aera!!!
all of their attention was focused on you.
: the look on your faces. it's like you saw a ghost or something... /you laughed
they all laughed;
Jeonghan: had a nice nap?
Cheol: wanna go downstairs and sit here beside me? /tapping the sit near him
: i did had a nice nap. /you chuckled, wait i'll just go down. /you then went down, so.. what were you doing?
Cheol: nothing really. we were just reminiscing the old days. by the way, since it's.. /looking at his phone, almost 2 pm wanna go swim or something? the indoor pool is heated.
: it's 2 pm already? time sure does fly when you're having fun.
Jeonghan: let's all change.
Jun: how about after we change, let's play a game. then the loser/s should jump at the outdoor pool? (๑¯ω¯๑)
Myungho: hyung, that smug look on your face tells me otherwise...
Jieun: that sounds fun! let's go!
all of you headed upstairs to change.
: /you knocked on the door, is someone here? can i come in?
Woozi: it's just me Aera. you could come inside.
"where is it...", you said.
Woozi: what are you looking for?
: Uji! change your clothes! we're gonna swim. /you smiled
Woozi: andwae.
: but why... ㅠㅠ
Mingyu and Wonwoo suddenly entered the room.
Mingyu: there she goes...
Wonwoo: that's her "you can't say no to me" face.
Woozi: arasso.... i'll change.
: he he he. ( ･ ิ ω ･ิ )
Mingyu: and there's her "i know you can't resist me" look.
Mingyu's comment made everyone laugh. after changing, you all went downstairs.
Dino: Aera!! sit next to me~
: /you giggled, arasso.
Myungho: so what are we gonna play?
Jun: mafia?
Seungkwan: call!
after playing, the mafia's have won.
: why did everyone voted me out when the game has just begun.. i'm not even the mafia...
DK: mianhe..
Jun: we remembered how you and Dino fooled us..
: /you laughed, fair enough.
Jeonghan: since my team, the mafia, won. the citizens should play a mini game to determine who'll jump on the outdoor pool~
Jieun: okay so the mafias: Jeonghan-ie oppa, Wonwoo, and Myungho are exempted. now the rest of us plays?
Wonwoo: how about jenga?
after playing a round of jenga.. you, Soonyoung, Dino, and Jun lost.
Cheol: out of all the people, why does it have to be you...
Jeonghan: who are you referring to Coups?
Cheol: apparently Aera can't swim. /he nodded
Joshua: how about someone catches her on the pool?
Jun: who's gonna catch her?
: anyone is fine by me.
one by one Dino, Jun, and Soonyoung jumped towards the pool. it was your turn.
: please tell me one of you are gonna catch me...
Mingyu: her 5 foot self can't swim. /he laughed
: shut up Gyu. okay here it goes..
you jumped then you felt someone lifting you up and it was Soonyoung.
immediately, you and Mingyu's eyes met.
: oh shit it's so cold— /you were shivering
Cheol: go towards the other pool!
Jieun: /yelling from the other pool, it's warm here!
Soonyoung carried you to the other side of the pool. you, Soonyoung, Dino, and Jun joined the others.
: it's so warm..
Jieun: how about we play a game of chicken fight?
Dino: i'm in!
Jieun: since there's 8 of us here, we all have a pair~
Jun: i guess let's just pick a pair?
the pairs are:
Aera and Shua
Jieun and Dino
Soonyoung and Mingyu
Wonwoo and Jun
: oppa are you sure you're fine?
Joshua: /he laughed, Aera i'll be fine. it's not like my shoulders are gonna break or anything.ㅋㅋㅋ, i'll go down the water then you could sit on my shoulders, okay?
: arasso..
Joshua: 1.. 2.. 3..
he then submerged. then you sat on his shoulders then he lifted his head above the water then you looked down.
: /you were getting rid of the water on his face, oppa are you okay?
Joshua: yes~ thanks for getting rid of the water on my face. /he chuckled, is it fine i'll hold you by the knees?
: /you laughed, of course. it's fine~ /you smiled
Jieun: Dino-ah! 1.. 2.. 3..
Dino: noona— wait—
Jieun submerged Dino into the water.
Jieun: omo.. i didn't hear you Chan. mianhe.
Dino: it's fine noona.ㅋㅋㅋ, can you get rid of the water on my face though?
Jieun: /she laughed, arasso~ /she rubbed her hands of Dino's face
Wonwoo: is everyone ready?
Jun: 1.. 2.. 3.. go!
Joshua: Aera! let's get Wonu and Jun. while you're tapping hands with Wonu i'll splash some water onto Jun!
: gaja!
Shua then went to where Wonu and Jun is. you took down Wonu and Jun, while Soonyoung and Mingyu took down Jieun and Dino.
Shua then went to where Soonyoung and Mingyu is.
: oppa mianhe i'm so tire—
before you could finish what you were trying to say, Soonyoung pushed you, which made Shua fall out of balance.
you felt someone's tight grip on your waist.
Joshua: /he lifted you up, don't worry i got you.
: /you were coughing, thank you.
Jeonghan: /jokingly arguing with Soonyoung, yah! you pushed her too hard!
Soonyoung: i didn't mean to.. are you fine Aera? mianhe—
: /you laughed, it's fine Soonyoung. it's just a game /you smiled, by the way... where's Jihoon-nie oppa?
Jieun: "Jihoon-nie oppa"
Mingyu: "Jihoon-nie oppa"
Joshua: "Jihoon-nie..."
Jun: "oppa..."
: /you rolled your eyes, i swear you're all so annoying.
while they were all laughing at you, heard that you were asking where Woozi was.
Cheol: apparently he's upstairs.
: but he promised he's gonna swim with us.. ㅠㅠ
Woozi: /he chuckled, i'm here.
Jieun: look! it's Jihoon-nie oppa!
meanwhile, Shua, Jun and Mingyu were just laughing their heads off.
: /you glared at them, tss. /you then turned your gaze to Woozi, now jump!
you didn't expect that he's actually gonna jump but he did.
you all spent an hour by the pool then one by one started to get up. and you looked at the time, it was already 4 in the afternoon.
: roommates chingudeul~
Woozi, Dokyeom, and Wonwoo turned their gaze towards you.
: i'll use the bathroom 1st is it fine?
Wonwoo: go ahead. /he smiled
Woozi: call me when you're done so i can take a bath!
: ne~
Mingyu: here. /handing you a towel, dry yourself first so you won't slip.
: thanks.
you were walking towards the stairs and you find yourself about to fall on the ground, but luckily Soonyoung catched you.
: oh fu—
Hoshi: are you fine? /he has this worried look on his face
Cheol and Mingyu rushed towards you.
Mingyu: didn't i tell you to dry yourself first..
Cheol: are you fine?
: i'm fine. anyway, i'll be careful now. /you smiled, then went upstairs
Cheol: don't forget to pack your things!
: ne!
when you arrived at your room, you rummaged through your clothes then went to take a shower. after taking a shower, you wore a shirt and some pants and packed your things, then headed downstairs.
you were waiting for the rest of them to finish taking a bath and one by one they headed towards upstairs.
: /you were shouting, YEOROBUN, PLEASE DON'T FORGET YOUR THINGS. WE'LL BE LEAVING AT 6.
soon enough everyone was downstairs with their luggage, while you and Jieun were just checking the house just in case you forgot something.
Jieun: we're done checking. there's nothing left, we could all put our luggage in the car now.
you then all headed out. Soonyoung then offered to drive.
Hoshi: where are we headed hyung?
Cheol: your place?
: could we eat dinner before heading to Soonyoung's place?
Cheol: sure. /he smiled
Jeonghan: please drive safe everyone.
one by one, you all drove off. the ride home was quiet. you, Dokyeom, and Seungkwan fell asleep.
Woozi: look at those three sleeping. /he chuckled
Hoshi: /he chuckled, i guess they were that tired. anyway, you could sleep if you want to Ji.
Woozi: i'll keep you company. /he smiled
soon enough, you all arrived at the restaurant. you and Jieun went inside first then ordered a bunch of food.
after eating, the others were just chatting. then Gyu tapped your shoulder. you already knew he has something to tell you, so you both went outside.
Mingyu: hey Aera..
: yep?
Mingyu: i actually have to tell you something.
: /your eyes widened, don't tell me...
Jieun was suddenly appeared.
Jieun: we're dating.
: /your eyes widened, WHAT AM I MISSING??? WE WERE IN THE SAME HOUSE HOW COULD I NOT EVEN NOTICE?
Mingyu: /they laughed, don't yell stupid. no one knows except you.
: 🥺 you guys...
Jieun: what's with the face? /she chuckled
: i am so happy for you. /you smiled, i really am.
Mingyu then took Jieun's hands which you noticed.
: okay.. damn boy not in front of me.
you all laughed;
: since we're spilling secrets...
Mingyu: DON'T TELL ME...
: yeah... /you nodded
Mingyu: LEE AERA???
Jieun: okay what am i missing..
: i actually forgot that only Gyu knows.. /you chuckled, well.. i like Soonyoung. then last night, he confessed his feelings for me.
Jieun: oKAY, NOW WHAT AM I MISSING?
: /you laughed, unnie...
Mingyu: so you two are dating?
: well... not exactly.
Jieun: okay, why? you need to spill the details.
: i just had a lot of things to think about..
Mingyu: like?
: am i willing to sacrifice this friendship for a relationship? what do i do when someone finds out? and everything in between. you know, that kind of stuffs. /you chuckled
Mingyu: don't think too much Lee Aera.
Jieun: Gyu's right. why not give it a try? you'll never know until you try.
: fair enough. but, i'll give more thought into it. thank you for the advice. /you smiled, anyway enough of me! congrats to the new couple!
after chatting with Jieun and Mingyu, you three went back inside. you already paid for the food which made Cheol kinda mad because he insisted to split the bill. and in the end he just gave in. you all then went back to the car and drove off.
you arrived at Soonyoung's place and waved everyone goodbye.
: i had a lot of fun! get home safe everyone~
they said their goodbyes then you drove off.
you then arrived to your apartment. parked the car, took your bag out of the trunk, then went to the elevator. then, you went straight to your bedroom, didn't bother to unpack, headed towards the bathroom to take a quick shower. after putting on some clothes, you went straight to bed. for some reason you were "that" tired.

i can't wait to write more happy chapters~ and kinda intriguing as to how Aera and Soonyoung's love would blossom.
