Pallavi's POV
I run up the stairs and fall onto my bed, crying. He acted like he didn't know me. I could see the slight hint of recognition, but he still spoke to me like an outsider.
I text my older sister, Ishika, but don't get a reply.
I cry and cry until there is knocking on the door. I hastily wipe my tears and stand.
"Come in." I say.
"Hi Pallu!" My best friend, Nithya says, walking in. She closes the door.
She has a big smile on her face, but it disappears when she sees the frown on mine.
"Pallu. Emaindi?" she asks, concern written all over her face.
"Pallu, what happened?" she asks, concern written all over her face.
"Nithu!" I yell. I run up to her and hug her tightly. Nithu is like the second sister I never had.
"Calm down. Pallu." she says, worried.
I release her, and sit on the corner of my bed.
"Emaindi?" she asks again.
"What happened?" she asks again.
"Nenu Vijay annani choodadaniki vellanu." I say, crying.
"I went to see my brother, Vijay." I say, crying.
"Ayithe?" she asks.
"So?" she asks.
"Nenu evaro theleenatluga matladade." I cry.
"He talked to me like he never knew me."I cry.
She stares at me for a few minutes before talking.
"Le." she says.
"Get up." she says.
"Enduku?" I ask.
"Why?" I ask.
"Manamu Ex-DCP Vijay IPS garini kalusthunnamu." she says coldly.
"We are paying Mr. Ex-DCP Vijay IPS a visit." she says coldly.
"Nithya-" She puts her hand up, stopping me.
"Pada Pallavi." she says.
"Let's go Pallavi." she says.
We get into Nithya's car, and she drives. I sit in the passenger seat, and zone out.
**Flashback**
I walk with Arjun, latched onto his hand, eating an ice cream cone that he had just bought me. Arjun is talking about the new company that his dad is building. I look around, and stop in my tracks. I instantly let go of Arjun's arm, and turn around. But I know that its too late.
"Pallu?" I hear behind me. I turn around and smile sheepishly.
"Hi anna(older brother)." I say to him.
"What are you doing and who is this?" Anna asks.
"Um, anna, this is um-"
"Vijay, here." A girl-
No, not any girl-
"Mithra?" I ask.
"Pallu!" she says.
"Ey, ella unnavu?" I ask my best friend.
"Hey, how are you?" I ask my best friend.
"Bane unna. Nuvve?" she asks me.
"Good, how 'bout you?" she asks me.
"Anthe, em marale."
"Same as usual, nothing changed."
"Aiyna, nuvvem chestunnav ikkada?" I ask her.
"Anyways, what are you doing here?" I ask her.
"Nenu North D.C, Vijay Kumar garini premisthunnanu." she says, blushing.
"I am in love with North D.C, Vijay Kumar sir." she says, blushing.
"Oho. Premana? Annaya garu?" I say, looking at Vijay, who is looking around.
"Oh. Love huh? Mr. Older brother?" I say, looking at Vijay, who is looking around.
"Annaya?" Mithra asks me.
"Brother?" Mithra asks me.
"Avunu Mithra. Eena garu naa annaya garu." I say.
"Yes Mithra. This sir is my anna(older brother)." I say.
"Em matladatledenti North DC garu?" I ask Vijay, turning towards him.
"Why are you not saying anything North DC sir?" I ask Vijay. turning towards him.
"Uh...adi..." he stutters.
"Uh...its..." he stutters.
"Oho, North DC gariki mata ravatledu." I say, mocking him.
"Oh my. North DC sir is unable to talk." I say, mocking him.
*End of Flashback**
"Pallu!" Nithya says, shaking me.
"Huh?" I say, waking up.
"Ok na?" she asks, a look of concern on her face.
"You ok?" she asks, a look of concern on her face.
"ah, yea." I reply. I look out of the car, and see that we had stopped in front of Vijay's house.
"Come on." she says.
We get down and walk to the door. Nithu knocks on the door hard, and Vijay opens it.
"Uh, yevaru kavali?" he asks Nithu.
"Uh, who do you want?" he asks Nithu.
"Rey, mari antha natinchadu." she yells at him.
"Hey, don't act so much." she yells at him.
He looks taken aback.
"Enti? Evaru...Oh, Pallavi mam. Meera." he says, looking at me.
"What? Who...Oh, Pallavi teacher. Its you." he says, looking at me.
I fall onto my knees and touch his feet.
"Sorry anna. naa valle. antha naa valle anna. Nenu chesina danni valle idantha jarigindi. nenu vaaditho vellinte oka pani aipoyedi. nuvvu Mithra happyga undevaru. amma kuda brathukundedi. dayachesi kshaminchu. Please anna." I cry.
"Sorry anna(Brother). Its because of me. Its all my fault. This all happened because of what I did. If I had gone with him, then it would have been fine. You and Mithra would have lived happily. Mother would also be alive. Please, forgive me. Please anna." I cry.
"Choosava ra? Idi entha bada padthondo?" Nithya says.
"Do you see this? Do you see how sad she is?" Nithya asks.
"Em jarigindi Pallavi mam?" he says. "Deni gurinchi matladuthunnaru?" he asks.
"What happened Pallavi mam?" he says. "What are you talking about?" he asks.
I slowly stand.
"Annayya, please ra. Ala matladakura." I cry, putting my hands together.
"Anna, please. Don't talk like that." I cry, putting my hands together.
He opens his mouth to talk, when Rajendra anna comes down the stairs.
"Evaru Vijay?" he asks.
"Who is it Vijay?" he asks.
"Ade, mana Nivi valla teacher anna." he replies.
"Our Nivi's teacher anna." he replies.
Rajendra anna walks up to the door.
"Anna, nuvvaina cheppana. Nenu idantha kavalani cheyyaleanna. Vaadi gurinchi teleeka ala chesanu. Telise lopala ila jarigindanna." I cry to Rajendra anna.
"Anna,at least you tell him anna. i didn't do this on purpose. I didn't know about him and I did that. And by the time I found out, this happened." I cry to Ranjendra anna.
"Pallavi, Nithya? Mundu, lopalaki randi." he says.
"Pallavi, Nithya? First come inside." he says.
We walk in and he gives us coffee. We all sit on the sofa.
"Pallavi, sorry amma." Rajendra anna says.
"Pallavi, sorry." Rajendra anna says.
"Endukanna?" I ask.
"Why anna?" I ask.
"Vijayki jarigindantha gurthu ledu." he says.
"Vijay forgot everything that happened." he says.
"Ante..." I say in shock.
"That means..." I say in shock.
"Memory loss."
