The weekend passed by quickly for Virgil. Remy did end up finding out about his bruised eye, but Virgil told him the same false story he told Logan. Though after that story Virgil had to convince Remy to allow him to go back to the animal shelter. Remy only broke after seeing the absolutely shattered look on Virgil's face after he suggested Virgil not go that weekend.
Virgil was happy to return to school on Monday since that's when he got to spend plenty of time with his two best friends and, now, new friend. Everything was fine and dandy for the little pastel, eager to begin a new day and have fun. Art passed extremely quickly with doing a pastel piece (whether you use oil or chalk was your choice) before class ended (Virgil did a ruby-throated hummingbird in chalk pastel). In AP Astronomy they were learning more about the constellations and stars along with how they originated through the mythology and folklore behind them. They were assigned to look up a constellation or star and research their origin, who found them, who named them, why they were given that named, what constellation they were apart of if you did a star, etc.
While researching Virgil felt something hit his hand. He looked down in surprise to see a small crumpled up ball of paper sitting on his desk. Opening it Virgil found a short message written there in pretty cursive font.

Virgil smiled softly to himself and felt a light blush creep onto his cheeks. He quickly wrote a reply, also writing in cursive since he enjoyed doing so.

Virgil then gently tossed the paper back to Logan who was sitting two desks over, an unoccupied desk sitting between them. Logan easily caught the paper ball then read the message, a half smirk half smile tugging on their lips. He gave Virgil a nod which Virgil interpreted as a yes to Janus and Remus being allowed to join.
Virgil turned his attention back to the assignment, finishing up quickly then waiting patiently for class to end. Once the bell rang Virgil packed up his belongings, choosing to avoid the crowds this time, and hopefully Chris, by taking as long as he wished. Once he was done he noticed Logan had waited for him.
"Greetings Virgil. How has your morning been?" Logan asked as they headed for the door.
"Lovely, I enjoyed my art class. Also, if you want to meet up somewhere for lunch I'm usually waiting by the cherry blossom tree outside since this is my free period," said Virgil as he skipped along side Logan.
"Good to know," Logan smirked as they descended the steps.
"By the way, how many friends of yours are we meeting?" asked Virgil, nervous it was going to be a lot of people all at once.
"Only two. Roman, Remus' twin brother, and Patton, whom I've mentioned earlier," stated Logan.
"Okay. Well enjoy your next class. I'll see you at lunch," called Virgil as they split off, Logan going to the basement while Virgil headed outside.
He quickly texted Remus and Janus to see if they were okay meeting the friend to which they said was fine. Both Remus and Janus had been acquainted with Roman, Remus being his twin brother and all, while they've only met Patton a few times. Virgil, who had never met either of them, was excited to meet these new people who Logan spend so much time with, but also worried. Worried they wouldn't like him, or think poorly of him for being weird or wearing the things he did. He'd been picked on for those things before (and still is), why wouldn't people do the same?
The free period passed quickly, the lunch bell ringing which caused a flood of students outside. Virgil stood up and searched the crowd for his friends, seeing Janus walking over to him while Remus looked like he was swimming/crowd surfing the wave of high schoolers.
"Hey sugar bear! Do ya know when my punky roommate is getting here?" Remus asked as he fell on the grass, flat on his face.
"No, and are you okay Remus?!" Virgil asked, kneeling down next to his friend.
"Never been better!" he exclaimed, leaping to his feet and looking around, the crowd having thinned out.
"There he is," said Janus, pointing to three figures coming from around the building. By then Virgil had stood up and brushed himself off since pollen and grass loved clinging to his clothes.
"Yup! That's my womb-sharer, I'd know that face since it looks freakishly similar to mine!" Remus grinned like a madman.
"Hello Virgil. Remus, Janus," Logan said as he approached.
"Hi Logan!" Virgil smiled, Janus waving normally while Remus wave with his while arm. He would've smacked Virgil if the pastel boy wasn't so short.
"These are my friend I wish for you to meet," Logan gestured to the two people behind him.
"Greeting! I'm Roman Laurent, the more fabulous twin of Remus," exclaimed the one on Logan's right (Virgil's left).
"I dunno. Remus is pretty great," said Virgil with a smile, Roman gasping dramatically.
"You've wounded him!" laughed Remus, Roman laughing too. Roman was about the same height as Remus, though shorter by one or two inches. He had auburn hair that swooshed to the left side of his forehead. He wore a white shirt under a red leather man jacket with a little golden crown in the corner along with white jeans and red, gold, and white shoes. He had tan skin which was common for people in Florida, everyone in the group, excluding Virgil, having the Florida tan. Roman's eyes were a blazing light green color that held so much passion and determination in them. He looked really preppy, like a complete theater nerd.
"Hi! I'm Patton Picani! It's nice to meet you kiddo!" the other one chirped, drawing Virgil's attention over to him. Patton was a shorter than Logan, Roman, and Remus, but taller than both Virgil and Janus. He wore a light blue shirt with a grey cardigan tied around his shoulders and a cream colored skirt with little kitten outlined in black all over it, along with slip-on beige shoes. He also had a little black cat ears headband in his curly strawberry blond hair that faded into a powder blue at the tips. Round glasses framed Patton's face and also highlighted the freckles all over his face, neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. He looked kinda like a cheerleader, with the lovable, kind, and caring look in his baby blue eyes.
"Picani? My older brother's dating someone with that last name," said Virgil, Patton's eyes lighting up.
"Is it a he and is his name Emile? The person your brother's dating, that is?" asked Patton, bouncing excitedly on the soles of his shoes.
"Yes, and yes. My brother's Remy di Angelo. I'm Virgil di Angelo," said the pastel boy.
"That's my brother!" exclaimed Patton.
"This is all fine and dandy y'all, but how's about we all go to good ol Mickey-D's and get somethin' to eat? Then we can continue this conversation," Remus interrupted.
"Sounds good to me," said Roman, everyone else agreeing and they all began walking to McDonalds.
If y'all with kindly notice, I've changed the chapter titles of previous chapters. They are now all song titles that I think match the chapter's whole vibe. It's just my opinion and since I'm the writer I can do what I want. (I did add the songs if y'all wanna listen to them while reading)
