Shenandoah walked quietly through the forest her somewhat long air flutter on the wind. She sighs and stoped under a tree and wipes tears from her eyes. She thinks back to her brothers and little sister. See Shenandoah had a problem with her strength she couldn't control it she didn't mean to hurt anyone she never did. But her twin said she was too dangerous to be around their younger siblings. She always tried to be careful around them and she never hurt them. She had hurt a animal in front of them. It's not like she meant too but it did scare them. And she could never forgive herself for scaring them. But she honestly didn't mean to do anything.so he said she need to keep a distance from them but it should be 'fine' as long as she didn't get to close. That hurt so much he saw her as a monster didn't he? It doesn't matter anymore she did that for two days before it became to much to watch her siblings get along it hurt. So she decided if she was that dangerous she would leave them and be on her own she couldn't hurt anyone then right? She didn't know anymore. She watched the forest for a minute then kept walking. Her sky blue flicked back and forth scared. Where would she go? She didn't know she then thought of her mother she never acted like Shenandoah was a monster. So was her mother lying? She had to be. She shakes her head and kept walking for days and nights never stoping until she grew to tired to continue. She stopped at a river she peered at her reflection. Her long golden wheat hair was a tangled mess. She was dirty and very thin. Her clothing was too big on her now but still covered her body. She sighs and cleans her face with the water then stands up looking at her reflection once more before turning around to only get scared by a little old lady looking at her.
" my what is a girl like you doing by yourself " Shenandoah had no idea what she said and titled her head. The lady most have realized this and made a follow me motion and started walking. Shenandoah was all ways told to respect her elders so she followed the old lady quietly. She was lead to a weird hut she never seen anything like it so she froze. It was made of trees she tilted her head but then kept following the lady into the hut. She looked down in surprise the ground wasn't dirt but wood. She looked up as the old lady pointed at a weird thing. She blinks at it and stands near it. That's when a younger lady walked in and looked at her as the old lady disappeared into a different hut inside of the hut? She looked at it trying to understand all of it. The young lady sat on the thing like the one she stood next to. She titled her head and copied the young lady. She thought this was all so weird. The old returned and talked to the other lady. They both looked at her making her very nervous. She then glanced away and at all the different stones and plants they had. They had mini fires in containers how did they do that? A long colorful thing was placed on her lap. She looked over at the lady's they pointed at her clothing then at the colorful thing then at her own colorful thing on her body. Oh this was clothing but different it was there clothing. Did they want her to put it on? She looked at the clothing then pointed at the one in her lap then at herself confused. They both nodded and pointed at the weird hut in the hut. She got up and slowly made her way to it and looked around. They wanted her to change her clothing in here to their clothing? So that what she did. The new clothing was actually okay she didn't mind it at all. She looked at it and realized it was a sky blue like her eyes but slightly darker. She then walked back in to the other hut. She was startled by the clapping the other two lady's did. She smiled at them. A year passed and the lady's help her learn English the language they spoke. It was very difficult but worth it. Emily the younger lady was nice and much like a older sister. The older women was named Elizabeth she was like a mother. They both gave her a new name she was known now as Amelia she loved it but still liked her old name. Both where 'witches' Amelia thought they where more like healers then 'witches' but oh well. They trained her to be one as well Amelia was happy to be learn and did well at it.
" Amelia will you get the dried rose petals?"
" and the rain water"
" yes ma'am's I can" she walked towards the storage passing a candle that was out she relighted it the continued get both items and walking back placed them down. She then returned to brushing her long hair.
" you now ame we could just cut your hair short." Emily said with a smile watching Amelia struggle. Amelia had been very stubborn about her hair but she looked at how long it was it passed her butt at this point it was to much of a hassle. She looked at it cutting would be cutting her pass away. She realized she had crushed the brush she held her eyes widened and she dropped it then shyly looked at her feet. Both lady looked surprised
" wow what happened!"
" I have more strength then a normal human. I-I can't control it I try more hardest but I always mess up!" She said wiping some tears from her eyes.
" oh darling it's okay we have something that could help" Amelia looked up with a bit of hope. They made a potion for her.
" it works for 24 hours then you have to take it again" she said handing it to her. Amelia looked down at the honey gold liquid then drinks it and gave the glass back then looked at Emily.
" can you cut my hair?" She asked quietly. Emily smiled and nodded. Weeks pass and Emily,Elizabeth and Amelia where moving towards a town to settle there. She smiled as she had a basket full of different herbs and glass bottles with different bugs and things. She hums and watched a bird fly around them tweeting at them. Amelia recently learned of familiars because Emily just found hers. Elizabeth didn't have a physical form which Amelia found neat! She kept thinking of what hers could be. She was in a pale green dress Emily was in a pale yellow and Elizabeta was in a deep crimson red dress. Amelia hair was to her shoulders she kinda liked it like that but part of her wanted it shorter. When they arrived Amelia looked around quietly then watched Elizabeth talk to someone and pay them and smiled softly at them. They enter their new home. Amelia looked around and smiled placing down her basket. Emily's cat jumped out of her basket and scratched his ear. They settled in for a bit then Emily and Amelia got curious so they left to explore. They walked and talked quietly. A man with purple eyes and blond hair walked up to them two men trailing behind him looking fed up with each other.
" my dears might you know where we are we got lost on our travels!" Amelia kinda hid behind Emily nervously this was her first in encounter with others who spoke English.
" I do not know we just got her our mother would know she moved us here."
" a-ah you're in a New England colony " Amelia shyly answers " that what mother said I believe " she quickly spoke nervously.
" don't be nervous dear I can make any fair maiden nervous " he said laughing loudly. Emily and Amelia looked at each other.
" Francis leave those poor ladies alone!" A man with green eyes said very spiteful.
" your just jealous Arthur " Francis laughs more. The last on rolled his eyes before smiling at Amelia and Emily.
" Amelia,Emily?" Elizabeth voice called out.
" we are over here mother" Emily called back as Elizabeth walked over and looked at the three men who started arguing. They watched for a bit Amelia getting more nervous by the minute.
" sirs it's getting late do you have a place to stay" Francis whirled around.
" non we don't could we stay with you l'amour" Elizabeth smiled and nodded the blonde with green eyes glare landed on Amelia. She nervously started walking off ahead of her mother and sister. Emily quickly caught up and gave her a worried look and whispers.
" are you okay?"
" no he gave me a weird feeling " Amelia whispers back glancing at Arthur nervously then back towards there new house.
" oh, well be careful I will alert Elizabeth just in case alright he won't try anything on you I promise" she then winked Amelia giggles
" okay I trust you sister " she smiled softly. They held the door open for the rest then walked into their living room. The guests sits down and their mother sits across from them a round table sat in between them.
" dear will you make some tea? Maybe rose tea or honey tea" both nodded and went to the heat up the water. As they waited they talked and Amelia took her potion. She shook her head at one of her sister jokes. Her cat walked in and jumped up into her arms and lazily looked at the heating up water. When it was ready Amelia got it ready as Emily sat the cat down and went to help. They brought it out and set in front of them then sat next to their mother. Amelia watched Emily cat jump up into her lap then cross over and laid on Emily's lap. The men talked with them for a while before asked of the different items in their house. Amelia got uncomfortable with the questions and went silent. She stands up and speaks to her mother or tried she was cut off
" you aren't normal are you?"
" w-what?" Amelia turned to look at him.
" tell me honestly do you feel bigger then your body? Stronger?" Amelia didn't like where this was going so she lies
" no? What are you talking about?" Emily leans back nervously Elizabeth leaned forward curiously.
" ah what Arthur means-"
" do you represent the thirteen colonies " Arthur cut Francis off. Amelia titled her head confused.
" what?" She looked at her sister who spoke and turned to look at Amelia then back at Arthur.
" i-" Amelia started but froze confused " how could one represent colonies?" She said confused " I- I ran into people who where land? But not colonies " she said nervously.
" so do you represent land." He asked curiously
" no" she said unsure her real mother did she was pretty sure her older siblings did but her twin and younger siblings she didn't know.
" I will ask again " he said calmly " do you feel bigger then your body? Do you get hurt for no reasons?" She looked at him and shook her head no.
" I have no clue what you are talking about " she said again lying she didn't want to believe it.
" miss.Elizabeth is Amelia your biological daughter"
" no" she said leaning backwards " I don't have biological children both of mine where taken in" Emily and Amelia shared nervous look.
" okay where did you find Amelia"
" I found her in the woods by a river. she isn't English or French " she said and smirked at the confused faces in front of her.
" I'm native " Amelia said " I come from a tribe "
" yes when I found her she couldn't speak English and she was all alone " Elizabeth said stretching as she stood up Emily followed her cat jumped off of her lap. Elizabeth then pulled both girls closer to her with her arms.
" so you where native to this land?" He asked curiously to Amelia. Who only nodded back
" then why do you look like me and not the natives " he asked with a small smile. Amelia opens her mouth then closed it realizing he was right. Emily, Elizabeth turn and looked at her taking in her look.
" I-I don't know my siblings well my younger siblings and my twin look like me." She said and narrowed her eyes " our mother was definitely native " she said. He sat quietly taking in the information.
" you two go to your rooms. " Elizabeth said narrowed her eyes at at Arthur. Amelia and Emily nodded and walked up stairs. Amelia looked at her sister.
" can I stay with you" Emily looked at her and nodded. The both laid down Amelia only could stare blankly. A few months past and the stranger left Arthur had tried to convince Amelia to go with them but she denied right away. She was walking in the rain when she heard a crying noise and found a tiny puppy. She picked up and looked down worriedly the pup was freezing. She took the pup home and warmed it up. She realized it was definitely not a dog but a wolf she could tell by its paws and little face. She still took care of it she named it milo. Milo followed her everywhere which Amelia didn't mind at all. She did take notice that she didn't age right it was hard to see when you grew up by yourself but Emily looked older but Amelia didn't. It made her nervous and she started to think she was the colonies after all. More months pass and she sighs quietly milo seemed to stop aging as well.
" milo can you go find me some dandelions?" The wolf got up and walked off. Emily walked over and looked at what she was making and laughs slightly
" did you run out already?" Amelia laughs sarcastically
" no I'm making extra so I have enough for winter" she said pushing Emily slightly. Who only rolled her eyes and her cat which she named honey was asleep on her shoulders.
" mother saids we have to be careful" Emily said seriously " people have started to burn witch's and their familiars even non witches are being burnt "
"Oh no " Amelia said looking up with wide eyes. Emily nods and they sat in quiet until milo returned with dandelions " thank you milo " she said quietly and dropped the dandelions next to her ingredients. She sighs and quietly made her potion Emily joined her and quietly made it together and bottled it up sealed it off. Amelia then put the bottles in her basket that could close slightly. She shook quietly and looked up at Emily. Who was looking out of the window. Milo looked up at her and titled his head. She pats his head quietly then nervously walked towards the window and looked out. It looked peaceful but she caught the untrusting looks cast towards their house. She also saw Elizabeth walking home with a basket of bread. She turns away from the window and walked into her room. Milo was right behind her she sat on her bed and closed her eyes. She was shaken awake by Emily who looked scared.
" we have to go!" Fear hit Amelia hard. She scrambled up and grabbed her stuff milo reacted quickly. Emily retreated to her room her cat chasing after her. She heard a scream down the hall. Mother her mind cried as she quickly fled her room and shifted waiting for Emily. She came out of her room and looked up at Amelia with a nod they took off going out the back door. Milo lead the way growling in rage Amelia kept looking behind her and almost screamed when she saw people chasing them. She looked forward and ran faster grabbing onto Emily's hand her cat in the basket in her other hand. She held on to her basket. Emily was tripping over her dress and looked up at the back of Amelia head
" Amelia I'm slowing you down..... here take my basket and keep running don't look back just keep going" she winced in pain as a gun was shot hitting her leg. " please " Amelia took the basket trying not to cry as the cat cried in fear. She kept running listening to her sister with tears in her eyes she kept running until she stoped at a river milo circle the area panting before laying down near Amelia who fell to the ground after putting both basket down Emily's cat jumped out and looked up at Amelia his honey colored eyes met hers. She pulled the cat to her chest and cried into his black fur. The cat let her cry in his fur milo placed his head n her lap. She eventually fell asleep both animal stayed with her Emily told her cat and enchanted him with a spell

She walked in the forest quietly milo and honey by her side well more like honey was Sitting on milo. Milo held one of the basket in his mouth. Her eyes scanned the forest as she walked. She then sat down by a river and dipped a bottle into the river. She heard talking and froze and looked up at milo who had set the basket down and growled at the voices. Three very familiar to her. She sighs as two blonds and one with brown hair two with green eyes one with purple. But she tried to hide when she saw a different blonde with purple eyes. Milo step in front of her honey sat in her lap quietly.
" France leave me alone."
" non "
" are they always like this Spain?"
" yes Matthew " Matthew it's suits you her mind said quietly.
" big brother is that a wolf" she sighs as she felt milo get closer she looked into the river and at her reflection she looked like she been to hell and back which it definitely felt like that.
" milo it's okay clam down buddy" she put a hand on the dog he turned and looked at her then laid down. She heard someone take a deep breath
"Shenandoah? Is that you" the voice was cold. She didn't look at him only at her reflection.
" I haven't heard that name in a long time" she said quietly.
" who is Shenandoah?" A young voice asked. She closed her eyes then opened them looking at her reflection again.
" yeah who is that?" A different voice asked.
" I'm not surprised you don't remember me. You where little when it happened " she said struggling to stand she eventually did holding honey. She was tired of walking of standing of living. Milo jumped up and pressed him self against her so she could stand a little bit better. She looked down at her dress it was mud and torn up she didn't realize her leg was bleeding from a decent cut. She had a few cuts on her face as well. She then turns to face them catching a look of her tangled hair with sticks in it. She expected a look of hate on her twins face but he looked more shocked then anything. Probably from how she looked. Milo let out a cry and tugs on her dress slightly to try and get her to sit.
" I'm fine milo thank you for helping me " she said to the wolf. She looked at the older men all of them looked worried especially Arthur.
" what happened to you " Matthew said in shocked.
" I went to hell and back." She said " don't let the demons catch you. They will take the ones you love and burn them." She shakily takes a step forward milo leaps forward and tugs her backwards as she started falling forward. Arthur ran forward and caught her. Milo circle both of them honey hissed at Arthur. He helped her to the ground and nervously felt her head.
" your burning up!" He said shocked.
" like the innocent people they are burning " her eyes grow clouded " like they are " she said quietly. Milo licks her cheek honey brushed his head against her chin and lets out a sad meow. She pulled away from Arthur and hugged honey who purred quietly and licked Amelias hand while milo licked her tears away.
" I want to help you but you left us so I really don't trust you" Matthew said
" you abounded me first Matthew no matter what you say telling me I was dangerous and couldn't stand or walk near you or them because of something I was born with it? That hurt more then anything. I left because it basically what you made me do. What choice did I have stand and watch them grow but not being able to hug them talk to them teach them?" She said her voice weak " I left because I thought it was what was right thing to do Can't be dangerous if your not around right?" He didn't speak he stayed quiet.
" you poor thing" Francis sat down next Amelia the quietly spoke " what happened to Emily and Elizabeth "
" they.... they are most likely dead " she said quietly " they are burning witches and we where called witches and...and they ...." she couldn't finish what she wanted to say. Francis let her lean into him Arthur brushed her hair with his hand. Amelia closed her eyes and couldn't stay awake so she passed out much to milos and honeys dismay.
