Bang! Bang!

I frowned at the loud noise and squeezed my eyes more tightly. I pressed my head deeper into the soft pillow and covered my head with the soft duvet, trying to block all the noises. I sighed in content and welcomed darkness once again with open arms as the room fell silent.

BANG! "Damn it" someone cursed loudly. BANG!

I groaned loudly and reluctantly sat up before I rubbed my eyes to blink away the sleep. Logan is hurriedly tossing our dresses into the suitcase which was placed at the foot of the bed. His face was void of any emotions but his jaw was clenched and a fire was burning in his eyes.

"Logan," I called out, my voice hoarse from my sleep. He looked at me for a second before turning back to the wardrobe.

"Get ready, we're going back to New York"

"What?" I was surprised by his response "I thought we were staying here for one more day"

"Change of plans." was his only response. I sighed when I realized he's hiding something from me. I stood up from the bed and wrapped a silk peach robe around my body on top of my camisole. I walked up to him and hugged him from behind. He stood still and from the mirror in front of us, I saw him clench his jaw and close his eyes. I press a small kiss on his back before turning him around to face me.

I took his face in my hands by standing on tiptoes and forced him to look into my eyes. "You look tense. What is it?" I asked softly. He broke our eye contact and looked away, different emotions swirling in his eyes.

"Any problem in your office?"

"No, everything is fine in the office"

"Then what is it?"

"Mom is in hospital," he whispered and removed my hands from his face. He turned away and continued to pack our bags, while I stood there, trying to register those words in my mind. But it seems like my mind froze and everything went blank. I stared at Logan, watching him pack, trying to figure out emotion from his expressionless face, anything so that I could force my brain to finally assimilate his words. Slowly and painfully his words started to sink in and finally I let out a loud gasp.

"W-What do you mean?" I whispered, my eyes following him. He ignored me and took his phone from the table and dialed a number before placing it on his ear.

Annoyed by his ignorance, I walked up to him and snatched his phone from his grasp. He looked startled and opened his mouth, probably to command me to return his phone, but I cut him off.

"What do you mean that 'Grecia is in the hospital'?"

"She met with an accident," Logan said emotionlessly and tried to take his phone from me. But I held the phone behind my back, away from him. I'm not done with my questions.

"How did it happen?"

"I don't know how it happened. That's why we need to get there as soon as possible," he said and leaned forward, taking his phone from my hand. He gave me one last look before walking out of the room. Different thoughts ran through my mind, trying to figure out how this might have happened but nothing made sense.

The next few hours went like a blur. Checking out from the hotel, paying a last visit to the cemetery, walking through the airport and before I knew it, we were traveling back to New York, in Logan's private jet. Logan was silently brooding in his seat. I studied his stoic face anxiously, trying to get an emotion from him. Even after hearing the horrific news, he looked calm and collected. And that's what scares me most. I know he's hurting inside and I want him to let it out either by screaming at me or at least by showing an emotion that indicates he's worried about Grecia. But NO! This man decided to keep everything to himself.

"Will she be fine?" I couldn't help ask him even though I know he's as clueless as me. But I need some kind of reassurance. Anything to tell she's safe and waiting for us to return. I've already lost three important people from my life and I couldn't handle it if I lost one more.

"Yes, she has to be fine," Logan replied. He laced our fingers together and brought it near his mouth, placing a small kiss near my knuckles.

"She's a Watson. She'll fight this." he murmured and leaned back, closing his eyes.

After an hour, we reached New York and rushed to the hospital. Throughout the whole ride, I prayed to God to keep Grecia safe and secure. Logan got out of the car before the driver pulled the brake and rushed inside. I got out after the car stopped and asked the guards to wait in the cafeteria. I then entered inside and saw Logan talking to a lady at the front, probably asking what room Grecia was in.

Patrick and Scarlet were already there when we got there, along with some other people whom I don't recognize. Patrick rushed towards us, his face grief-stricken.

"What did the doctor say?" Logan asked Patrick.

"Her breathing rate is very low. She's moved to the ventilator" he said. I took a sharp intake of breath and pressed my lips in a thin line, to prevent from sobbing. No, I can't cry. I can't show weakness. Logan needs my support. If I cry, he'll lose it as well.

Logan nodded his head stiffly, his fist and jaw clenched tightly. His eyes turned red and he immediately closed it to take a few deep breaths.

"Mr. Watson," We turned around to see two police officers, one holding a clipboard.

"Yes, officer," Logan said, his voice thick with emotion. I held his hand in mine and squeezed it lightly.

"The accident took place between 9-10 pm. From the traffic camera, her car was hit by a heavy truck that was coming from the opposite direction." Logan squeezed my hand tightly, "We found the truck parked under a bridge a few kilometers away from the accident spot, but we couldn't find the driver. We are still in search of him." the police officer informed us.

"Thank you, officer." Logan shook his hand with them and they left the place. Logan squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed his temple.

"I'm going to meet the doctor," he said and walked away, Patrick following him closely. I sat on one of the 4-seater chairs and pressed my head into my hands. Scarlet took a seat next to mine and wrapped her arm around my shoulder, giving me her comfort.

"She's going to be fine," she said. I nodded my head through my hands. She's fine, she's fine, she has to be. I chanted these words in my head to stay positive.

Soon the daylight disappeared and stars broke out on the dark sky, illuminating the world outside with its beauty. But to these people in the hospital and us, the world remains dull and hazy, praying to every God up there to save our loved ones. To bring them back to normal life.

I haven't seen Logan since then, and I know he'll be somewhere outside to let out all his frustrations and sadness, alone. Scarlet and Patrick left an hour ago after a lot of persuasion from me.

I fill a cup with water from the water dispenser. From the rim of the cup, I notice a figure walking down the hallway. I freeze in my spot as that person stops by to ask something to a nurse. The cup falls from my hand, spilling a small amount of water on the floor. I quickly hide behind a wall, breathing heavily.

I watch as Olivier walks towards the Intensive Care Unit where Grecia was kept. He watches her from the small transparent circle on the door while I hold my breath. He leaves after a few minutes. Different questions run through my head. Why is he here? Did he see me?

With these thoughts still running, I walk out of the hospital. William was waiting for me at the reception of the hospital and offered to drive me back home. The rest of the guards were sent back by Logan.

"William, do you know where Logan is?'' I asked, hoping to know where Logan was hiding.

"No, Miss. He just called and ordered me to take you home." I nodded my head grimly and followed him towards the car.

Our steps faltered as we saw a bouquet of black roses kept on the hood of the car. Frowning, I pick it up and notice a small note attached to it.

'This time Grecia. Want to know who is next?

Act before it's too late.'

I tighten the note in my trembling hands as I reread the words, slowly the realization sinking in me.

It's because of me.

It is because of me Grecia is in the hospital. This was not an accident. Someone tried to hurt Grecia purposefully, because of me.

"Miss, what does this mean?" William asks. But I couldn't bring myself to speak. I couldn't.

"There's another note," William says and hands it over to me.

'Save the red before it turns black.

Save the Scar before it becomes non-existent.'

A/N: There it goes.... the next chapter. Keep your fingers crossed and let's see how this is going to turn out.

What do you think will happen to Grecia? Who wrote that note?
