"What are you trying to do?"
Danny pulled Kawan and Andreas into one room. He was fully aware of the future he saw yesterday and he wasn't sure how he could fix things. Because in the real world there was already others rallying against him.
If he could he would just apologize and hope that changes something. Except he knew that wouldn't work because there was something he did. Something Kingston did.
They developed this future...
He was tempted to ask his son to restart time in hopes of fixing the mistake that started it all. Not telling everyone the truth that he was having Kingston's baby to begin with.
"Do you two understand what the future holds for us?" Danny asks them, and he saw Kawan sigh. "What's the problem now?"
"You want to rub in our face that you will be becoming Head Alpha? Once Kingston is out you'll make that very clear." Kawan sneered in anger at Danny, not even wanting to look at his face.
Except Danny wasn't certain if he was going to do such a thing. He was tempted to start over...go back to where the real issue was andredo.
Is his son that powerful to do such a thing? Because if he does won't he no longer be born? Since Danny will be redoing things...
"Can you guys just...get over it? I'm begging you." Danny begs, and Kawan leaned his back against the couch.
"You already have a war out there. No one will let you be Head Alpha now...so why are you begging us?" Kawan asks him, causing Danny to snort.
"Because. They'll stop once they know you are done with this ridiculous idea! I'm becoming Head Alpha, I've waited all my life for this. My son brought you back to life - both of you! Then you want to plot against my family as if we haven't helped yours..." Danny became aggravated just thinking about it.
He saw Kawan and Andreas glance around one another. He knew they were probably speaking with one another through their mind-link. It annoyed him because he couldn't do that with his Mate.
"We get that he's helped our family. We may seem ungrateful, but we aren't-."
"Then stop this...please." Danny begs them, and he sighs nervously. "I am asking you to move on from this for everyone's safety - trust me."
When he said that Kawan instantly was intrigued, frowning at Danny. He wondered what could possibly go down if he wasn't to listen to him. If he was being honest with himself...he knew Andreas could care less about being Head Alpha anymore.
He felt and knew Andreas was just doing this for his sake. Because they were Mates and he wouldn't take the opposing side. It annoyed him a little bit and Andreas wasn't as on board with it, but displaced such opposite actions - for him.
"Why would anyone's safety be jeopardized? Are you threatening us-?"
"I don't think that's the case here Kawan." Andreas interrupts Kawan sternly. "It's the fact that because of the desire to be something that we don't have the right to take - a war is starting. Our son is angry because of our actions and he is on our side. I can already see the bigger issue at hand."
Kawan looked at Andreas in shock. He instantly looked at Danny and saw him even look shocked that he was on his side.
"Andreas I'm doing this for us."
"I'm fine if it's just you, Magnus, and me. We go and do our own thing without any hate or angry feelings or regret for that matter. What's the point Kawan?" Andreas groans in exhaustion, and Kawan found himself at a crossroads.
All Kawan wanted was to do the things with Andreas he wasn't able to do back then. It killed him when he thought of all the people who ridiculed and judged. He had to hide his love for Andreas and it was the same for him.
It angered him when he thought about all the pain Andreas went through without him. He couldn't even last a couple hours without him...so imagining Andreas go for four years without him...
He knew he couldn't handle that himself.
"I just...want the people that caused you pain to suffer. I couldn't protect you or be there for you when I died - now I can... It never really occurred to me that I was going against my own family because my anger clouded my judgements... Right?" Kawan looks at Andreas and saw him nod happily. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted you to figure it out yourself. Besides, I wouldn't let it get too far...until our son hurt Milla and I knew we had to come here. I hope this ends this whole Head Alpha plan." Andreas wraps his arm around Kawan, smiling.
Kawan found himself nodding shyly as he hugged Andreas. Danny on the other hand had to stop his face from confronting into envy.
"So...you'll stop conspiring against Kingston and me?" Danny questions them to make sure he suspected right.
When he sees Kawan look at Andreas, they both smiled as they looked at Danny and nodded. He was slightly thankful that he even said anything because what if he didn't?
Since this was done he stood up and left them alone. He was heading towards where Kingston was taken from him. For all he knew he would be able to get out of there in any time. He just hoped...it was sooner than what he thought.
It had him wonder how he even made it four years without him. Because just going a week without him was a lot. Especially - now.
The closer he got to that place he saw the guards were gone. Confusing him, he looked around and wondered if he was missing something. Though he didn't hesitate as he rushed inside.
Now he saw found himself staring up at the mirror. He wondered if there was really any point in waiting any longer. At the moment he felt like he fixed things, but Magnus was still in statue form.
He'd be lying if he said he knew when Aeneas would put him back to normal.
"What are you doing in here?"
Danny looked as he saw Kawan walking towards him. Andreas not with him and it made Danny wonder...why.
"I'm just waiting for my Mate to be freed is all. I'm surprised you care." Danny folded his arms, frowning at him.
"I know things started off horribly, but I'm still a part of your family. It still means something, and I still care. I wouldn't be too worried though." Kawan smirked at Danny, making him instantly uneasy.
"Why is that? You have your Mate - I don't-."
"That's the thing! Andreas is talking with Isleen and Feyre. Maybe he can be let out early. He only has a day left...if not just a few hours." Kawan shrugs, looking up at the mirror. "It's so odd. It's non-reflective..."
"It's a portal - that's why."
"So? The mirror we traveled through to get here was reflective...what's the difference with this one? What would happen if it was cleaned?" Kawan questioned, and Danny didn't bother thinking about such things.
There was no point in his mind.
"I think it was made like that." Danny sighs, and he groaned in helplessness. "Enough of this impertinent nonsense."
"It's not impertinent and it's most definitely not nonsense. I'm not your enemy anymore - I truly am not. I'm trying to help and I promise you that mirror isn't made to look like that. I think it's hiding something." Kawan looked around - trying to find something he could climb.
The mirror was on the ceiling and the ceiling was way too high. Though he wondered if he could at least get it wet.
"While you try to rile me up, I'm going to get my son. Have fun with your conspiracies." Danny ended up walking away because he was so frustrated as to what the truth really was.
Kawan on the other hand was certain that mirror was hiding something. He went and grabbed some water and rushed back. Andreas coming to his aid as he let Kawan get on his shoulders.
Not that it brought him any closer to the mirror. That's when he tossed the water up as high as he could to the mirror. Seeing some of it hit the target.
He saw some silver substance start to drop off and he looked down at Andreas. That's when he saw him gasp and he looked back up. Coming upon the sight of Kingston sleeping soundly inside the mirror. He only saw part of his face, but it was evident that he was in a sleeping state.
"I knew there was more to it than it being a 'non-reflective' mirror. Someone tried hiding the truth..." Kawan looked down at Andreas with a smile, making him smile too. "No wonder it's so high up. He could probably be pulled out."
"Doesn't he have a day left? We don't want to jeopardize anything." Andreas tells Kawan as he set him back down on his feet. "It's unusual though...just to see a body there - basically holding him captive."
"At least he's asleep." Kawan states, Andreas agreeing silently. "I told Danny...but no one likes to listen to me."
"I wouldn't say that much... More like with everything that has gone down - I would be surprised if he believed you on the spot. Don't take too much offense." Andreas looked up at Kingston in shock - just seeing him in that state.
He knew he would be released from wherever he is tomorrow... It still had him wondering.
It had them all wondering...what if's. What would really change about Kingston or was it all for nothing.
They'd all have to wait until tomorrow.
