Once I got home, I thought the best thing to do was to go straight to bed. I quickly changed into more comfortable clothes, and brushed my teeth. Before I went to sleep, I made sure to grab my phone and send a quick text to Sarah.

I need to tell you something urgent. Come over tomorrow & bring Drew!

I've known Sarah for years and know that I can trust and count on her with anything. Even though I don't deserve it at times, I always have her support and I'm crossing my fingers that she'll continue to do so. On the other hand, Drew was going to be the tough one to crack. Loki is an enemy of the Avengers and anyone enemy of the Avengers, is an enemy to Drew. He worships the ground they walk on. He almost fainted when he met Bruce. Good thing I knew how to make good deals, and I was going to offer him something he could not deny nor resist.

**

I awoke to the loudest and most obnoxious ringing and knocking on my door. With an irritated groan, I groggily got up and went to go answer it. Before opening the door, I looked through the peephole -even though I already knew who it was- to see a bright hazel eye staring straight into mine. It was Sarah. Unlocking the door, I let her and Drew in.

"I didn't know you'd come this early." I mumbled, wiping at my eyes.

"It's ten in the morning. I don't believe it's early." Sarah retorted with a smile. I checked the clock and was surprised to see that she was right. Good thing I don't have to go to S.H.I.E.L.D today, but I still have to go to work at noon.

"So, what is the 'urgent' thing you want us to know?" Drew asked, sitting himself on my couch. Sarah followed right after him, sitting next to him. To ease my sudden anxiety, I sat down on the loveseat to the right of them. Here goes nothing, I thought.

"I'mgoingtohelpLokiescapefromwhereheisandIneedyourhelpsinceyouguysaremybestestfriends." I managed to get out, leaving me breathless at the end.

            "Whodhlwbskqbaashwobf?" Drew sarcastically replied.

"Wait...," Sarah whispered to herself, eyebrows furrowed. She was processing my words. Her eyes widened and she glanced up at me alert. "WHAT?" Sarah almost shouted. She understood what I said. I didn't know whether to be relieved that I don't have to repeat myself again or worried by the way her eyes widened in disbelief....so I chose both.

"It's cruel to just have him locked up in there."

"Cruel? Eryn, he killed many people." Sarah incredulously said. Drew looked between the two of us, confused.

"I know he's not the best person in the world, but he can be. All he needs is someone to believe and motivate him. That is something I'm willing to do for him."

Sarah sighed as she realized where I was going with this. "Brian didn't change."

I averted my gaze from her, my heart dropping. I didn't expect her to bring him up, but Sarah knows me too well. I shuddered at the thought of Brian, not wanting to go there again. "This has nothing to do with Brian," I lied with a huff.

I could feel Sarah's heavy gaze on me the whole time. She knew I was lying, but when she spoke again, I was happy that she had let the Brian thing go. "And you think Loki will change?"

I nodded. She was silent, and after a thoughtful pause, she nodded. "Okay, I'll support you. Do you have a plan?"

I couldn't help but smile on the inside in relief.

"Wait! Hold up! Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on?" Drew finally spoke up.

LOKI's POV

I sat down on the bench that was provided in my cage. To say I was beyond bored would be an understatement. I am sure that real prisoners in Midgardian prisons are treated much better than I am being treated here. Not a single thing to entertain myself with. That Midgardian woman- Eryn-, hasn't showed up and I have a feeling she won't. Jared hasn't either, but I know he will sooner or later. He has no choice but to put up with me.

As if on que, the doors slid open as Jared stepped in. "Good morning, Loki."

I was a bit surprised that he actually greeted me. I didn't greet him back. There was nothing good about this morning if I was still here. "Where's Eryn?"

"She has the day off from S.H.I.E.L.D today." He replied with furrowed eyebrows. Realization dawned on his face as he approached my cell. His eyes narrowed towards me and he crossed his arms against his chest. "Tell me, Loki, what are your intentions with her?"

"You love her." I stated completely amused and chosing to ignore Jared's questions. Jared looked taken aback by my words, because we both knew it was true. He sighed, forgetting the question he had asked me, and sat down in the chair in front of me. For a while, he just stared at me, watching me as if he were debating on whether or not to trust me.

"Is it that obvious?" He asked suddenly self-conscious.

"Oh, I don't know... Am I standing here in front of you?" I replied with a grin.

"Oh gosh, it is." He murmured, covering his face with his hands.

I laughed at the idiot in front of me. He was such an entertaining being. I now had a human who I would have fun agitating besides Eryn.

The doors opened, and Fury stepped in this time. He smiled at me and I grinned back knowing it infuriated him. "Hello, Jared. I see your doing well with your job as an agent." Fury commented as he glanced towards Jared. There was a certain edge to his voice that I couldn't help but notice.

"And you. We're going to have a talk." Fury demanded, changing his voice from sincere to cold and harsh as his gaze landed on me.

Jared left the room, so Fury and I could have a little talk. I watched him as he sat down where Jared was as if I was a predator and he was my prey. "Are you finally going to tell me your reasons of why you came here? Have you sent your Chitauri to invade Earth again?"

"I plead the fifth," I teased, knowing that it was one of their beloved laws. This isn't my first time being here in Midgard. They don't think I know much, but I do.

Fury chuckled, but there was nothing in his tone that was pleasant and neither was his smile. "That right only abides to humans, and you are anything but."

It was then my turn to laugh. I'm no human, but without my powers, I'm no better than them. I don't have the upper hand. I may be a frost giant, but I will not succumb to my other side.

"I know exactly why you're here, Loki." Fury said, leaning back against his chair.

"You do?" I questioned unfazed by his words. I was curious, but I wasn't going to let that kill this cat. This is exactly how people like him got people like me to crack; by tricks. He may know how to play, but I'm the gamemaker when it comes to tricks. "Why am I here then? Humor me."

"You're here to get your revenge on my dear Avengers, especially the Hulk."

"And why do you say that?" I asked once again, raising an eyebrow nonchalantly.

"Don't play dumb with me, Loki. We both know you aren't." He snapped.

        "How flattering." I commented dryly.

"You think there aren't any surveillance cameras in here? I personally saw Eryn Banner, the niece of Bruce, sneak into see you. I don't know what you have up your sleeve, but you don't know what's going to come to you if you keep up what you're doing." He warned, his voice sharp and cold and eyes full of fury. Oh, how ironic.

On the inside, I was freaking out and my heart beat began to quicken. He knew that Eryn came to see me, and I have no clue if he heard what she had offered me. This could possibly lead me to being stuck here longer than I thought. On the outside, I showed no emotion. I was used to masking my emotions that I've seemed to become the expert at it. I would never give any of these disgusting mundanes the satisfaction of seeing me at my worst.

"I do not need your warning, Fury. I know what I'm doing." I snapped.

"Sure, you do." He said as he laughed and walked out.

Eryn

The bells tied onto the door rang, informing Macy and I that someone had entered the store. I glanced to see that it was Sarah. She smiled at both of us as she walked up the counter. "Hello, Macy."

"How are you and Drew, my dear? I haven't seen you in a while." Macy asked kindly, engaging conversation with Sarah while I gathered my stuff to go.

My shift was over since the store was closing for the night. Before I left, I helped Macy close the door and lock everything. Sarah was here to join me for moral support. Our plans were to stop by S.H.I.E.L.D real quick then go to stores to shop for things that I would need. If I wanted to have Loki with me living as any human does, he would have to have a disguise.

The drive from Macy's store to S.H.I.E.L.D wasn't very long. Sarah decided to wait in the car while I went to go pay Jared and Loki a visit. My palms began to sweat as I passed by Gloria, one of the receptionists, and entered the actual S.H.I.E.L.D building. I was nervous and I haven't been this nervous since...I can't even remember when was the last time I was this nervous. And it was all because of a stupid deal I made with a demi-god.

Even though it was my day off, the agents nor did the security question me. It was the norm for me to come here on my days off to check up on Bruce and my experiments. To not raise any kind of suspicion, I decided to head towards the lab. Like always, Bruce was there with his eyes fixed onto his computer in a very concentrated manner.

He didn't acknowledge me at all. Not even when the lab door slid shut behind me loudly. With an exaggerated sigh, I hopped onto one of the stools nearby. "I swear you love that computer more than me." I grinned at him teasingly.

He looked up, eyes landing on me and he smiled. "Oh, look, you're here."

"Very funny." I retort, rolling my eyes.

"How was your day?" Bruce asked.

I found myself telling him everything; how there was a rude customer that I told off -despite Macy telling me not to-, to the snowglobe this kid accidentally broke, and to Sarah who just picked me up for a girl's night out. Of course, I left out the part where I'm about to go visit Loki and betray him by keeping it from him. After he told me about his day, I dismissed myself, telling him not too work too hard.

I waited a minute after leaving Bruce to make sure that he was distracted by whatever it was he was working on before I came. Then, I nonchalantly walked past the lab and towards Jared's new assignment, trying to remember the exact path.

I ended up calling Jared for help, because I was completely lost. I may work here, but this place is big and I'm pretty sure where I'm standing is a restricted area for a low level scientist like me. The door opened for me as soon as I reached it and Jared sent me a greeting smile.

        "I didn't think you'd stop by."

"Neither did I, but I figured if I was going to go through with this deal, I sort of had to." I answered him.

"You're still going through with this?" Jared blinked, his small curls falling onto his face. With a sheepish smile, he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "I was kind of hoping you'd forget about it and drop it."

"Then, you don't know me at all." I smirked, raising an eyebrow to tease Jared.

He laughed, pushing his curls back. "Oh, trust me, I know you."

        "Suuuureee," I continue to tease.

The sound of someone clearing their throat in a loud and obvious manner reminds me of the real reason why I came. "I would appreciate it if the two of you stopped fliritng. It's making me sick."

I turned around to face the culprit himself. He stood in the middle of his glass cage, posture poised and chin raised up. I fought the urge to roll my eyes. He may have been royalty in Asgard, but if he wants to live here, then that stuck up attitude is going to have to go 'buh-bye.' A smirk formed onto his face as he caught me staring at him, his green eyes ablaze.

I walk toward him, stopping right at the entrance. I turn my head slightly towards Jared, so he knows I'm addressing him. "I'm going in."

        "What?"

"I'm going in." I repeated calmy, despite my irritation.

        "Eryn, are you mad? I-"

"Possibly." I interrupt shrugging, causing Loki to laugh. With a sigh, I add, "I need to get his measurements. It won't take too long. Please."

"Come on, just let her in. I don't bite." Loki said, raising his hands up in defense.

I smiled when the doors slid open and I stepped inside, making sure to block the exit while the door shut. I wasn't going to take my chances with Loki at all. Pulling a measuring tape out of my jacket's pocket, I approached Loki. To my surprise, he cooperated with me -well not without being cocky. "If you wanted to touch me, you could've just asked and not came up with the petty excuse of recording my measurements," he commented arrogantly.

"Sit," I command, ignoring his last remark. I had already all the measurements I needed that would help me when buying clothes for him. When he made no move to do so, I placed my arms on his shoulders and forcefully made him sit on the bench. I took note that he had winced at my touch, but did not say anything about it.

"Well, aren't you the demanding one today?" Loki said, his tone playful.

"Can you just keep quiet until I finish?" I groaned, biting my lip in frustration. I don't get frustrated easily, but Loki is just Loki.

I stepped back, observing him for a moment. His most distinguishable attributes are his jet black hair and emerald eyes. Those would be the immediate dead giveaway to his identity. Not to mention his pale complection and -oh!- those perfect cheek bones...

"Earthling, you're beginning to drool there."

I snap out of my thoughts, scolding myself for staring too long and thinking that he's attractive. He's handsome, I'll admit but that little attitude and mouth of his... "Gah, you're so arrogantly annoying!" I huff to myself.

"You okay in there?" Jared calls out in worry.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I respond, waving off his concern.

"May I ask the meaning of all of this?" Loki asked as he stood up to his full height. He took steps toward me and I stepped back, wanting to keep the distance between us. He smirked. "We made a deal for you to help me escape out of this damned place, not for you to pleasure yourself in groping me or staring at me as if I'm some sort of dessert."

"I was not groping you and most definitely not checking you out!" I exclaimed incredulously. His smirk grew wider and I realized that I gave him the exact reaction he wanted out of me. Damn him. I bit my lip, holding in a frustrated scream as I felt my cheeks burn up.

"And if you must know, the meaning behind all of 'this' is because I'm going to have to alter your appearance if you're going to want my help." I explained, crossing my arms against my chest. His eyes widened and he actually took a step back away from me, watching me cautiously. It was my turn to rejoice in his reaction.

"You know, I wonder how you'll look like with bright pink hair and dull brown eyes...Oh! And what if we add an orange spray tan while we're at it. No one will recognize you then."

"You're a mad woman!" He cried, horrified by my words, even though I doubt he knew what a spray tan was. His face is priceless. It would've been a perfect kodak moment...

"And your freedom is in the hands of this mad woman, so I say if you got any more crude or snarky remarks up your sleeve, say them now because I will not put up with them later." I tell him in a stern voice, even though I don't really mean it and I'm trying so hard not to burst into laughter.

"Oh," he whispers as he starts to calm down. His eyes met with mine, making me a bit uncomfortable under his gaze. "Then, I suppose now is a good time for me to tell you that-that one-eyed man knows you snuck in to see me."

I feel the color draining from my face. "What?!"

AH! So Fury knows that Eryn snuck into see Loki, but does he know about what they talked about? Do you think Fury told Bruce about it? Anyways, I made a new trailer for this because I have finally casted an actor for Jared and also so it can give you more of an insight of what is going to happen in the next chapters.

If you're reading this, then you've probably noticed that this whole last scene is new. I decided to add it, because I wanted more Loki X Eryn moments.

Don't forget to leave your thoughts below! (:
