"So let me get this straight...Dumbledore sent you a letter?" might
"Yes..."
"Asking you to go with him to someone's house, but won't tell you who, why, or where?"
"Um-hmm."
"He also implied that you should go back to Private Drive...even after the whole thing has already been settled for years?"
"Yes."
"And you trust him enough to still go? Harry! Are you an idiot!" Hermione finished shaking her head.
"No. I just think I should go. Besides if I don't show up by lunch at Diagon Alley then Sirius would one hundred percent hunt me and Dumbledore down. That reminds me, all the shops you get to before I get there can you get my books and other stuff?" Harry said shrugging.
Hermione sighed not knowing how to deal with him and his way of thinking, more like not thinking in her opinion.
"I will...but Harry I don't think it's such a good idea..."
"You're just upset that you will be at Diagon Alley with the Weasley's without me for a bit."
"It's not just that...they lost their dad I don't know what to do around them anymore really..."
"Knowing them they are going to try to show a strong face. So I say just treat them normally. They are probably tired of everyone walking on eggshells around them all the time. It will be a good chance for them. If they react not well then go for a softer tone," Harry said.
"Softer tone."
"Yes softer tone."
"HARRY!" Sirius called up to them.
"I assume your start of the day has just arrived," Hermione stated as he rolled his eyes at her as they both walked down the stairs.
"Don't worry. I'll tell you everything once I get back. Promise."
"You better. I don't want to be carrying around your books all day." Hermione said as the two appeared in front of Dumbledore and Sirius waiting for them by the door.
Sirius grabbed Harry and hugged him before Dumbledore held out his arm ready to get going.
"Bye," Harry said right before the two disappeared.
"Well, Hermione, I think that we have an appointment to be somewhere, too!" Sirius grinned down at her.
"Great..." she huffed out and the two also disapparated to Diagon Alley.
------------
"Hey..." Hermione smiled, well-tried too since it still looked more like a grimace.
Ginny smiled lightly back with her eyes holding sadness and tiredness from not really sleeping, "Hey. Where's Harry?"
"Dumbles took him this morning should be here by lunch."
Ginny nodded as Ron came up to them and said, "You haven't seen Fred and George's shop have you. Business is going crazy right now."
"I guess we have our first stop then," Hermione stated and the three walked to the shop that was busing with people.
Once they entered the shop they couldn't help but stare at everything frozen at the door. The rooms were filled with colors and products from the floor to the ceiling. Ron who already has been to the shop disappeared from the two girls.
Ginny's attention was soon drawn to the love potions leaving Hermione by the doorway. She just stood there for a second looking around and smirked at the Umbridge themed tiperope walk on the ceiling, when the door opened again behind her.
"Hey, Granger!"
Hermione didn't need to turn around as the person walked up next to her. "Hello, Theo."
"Granger!" Theo smirked proudly.
"Where are the other three?"
Daphne is with her family today shopping and you know their family they would never set foot in this place...Blaze...well he's occupied at the moment..."
"Who this time?"
"Twins..."
"Yes...both of them..."
"And Draco?"
"Haven't heard a word from him."
"Me neither..."
A silence fell over them thinking. Theo trying to lighten the mood and said, "You should know, I risked my well-earned reputation by coming here."
"Well earned reputation...yeah right...your reputation has been ruined since you started dating Daphne...your completely whipped for her."
"And that's...completely true! But can you blame me," Theo kindly smiled.
"Yes."
"Well, Granger...I'm off to see the products some of my money bought." Theo said and walked off into the crowd of people. Hermione shortly following into the crowd, too. She walked around looking at the products that laid floor to ceiling.
She stopped when she saw something that seemed somewhat familiar. She picked up the paper and looked at it when she heard a voice behind her.
"Got that idea from you. The coins we used for classes. While this is nowhere near as advance still does the trick between friends. It's a great product."
"Hello, Fred. The shop seems to be going well."
"Yes...it really is going well. We didn't think that opening the shop early would work out...but the early shoppers and the mail orders kept us busy. The money helped with mom. I think that this has been good for us..."
"And how are you guys going outside of work?" Hermione asked as softly as she could.
"We're okay...just taking it a day at a time."
After a moment she whispered out a painful, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay...well it's not okay but he died for a worthy cause in the end. As his son, I'm proud and hope I can make him proud."
"Fred you guys have always made him proud. He would have been completely thrilled with what you have done here."
"You mean the jokes?"
"No the small hope you've to give in these times."
Fred weakly smiled at her before turning around, "better get back to work before George says I'm slacking."
"You slacking...never," she smiled and he grinned before walking away.
"HERMIONE!" Ginny yelled pushing past some people getting to her.
"Harry's here he just went outside said something about Malfoy?" Ginny quickly rushed her words before grabbing her arm and dragging her outside where Harry and Ron where.
"POTTER!"
"Quick I just ran into Malfoy and he just went into Knockturn Alley!"
"And why is that any of your concern?"
"Just come on!" Harry took off into the alleyway with Ron following quickly behind.
Ginny looked at her, "you know what. You go I'll get the rest of your stuff. You know Harry won't give up until he's satisfied." She grabbed her money and stuff so Hermione could go after them. Hermione sighed and also went into the alley.
She finally found the two trying to peek secretly into Borgin and Burkes watching the two Malfoys in there talking to Borgin.
"Is this now you new obsession this year Harry."
"SHHHH!" the two boys hushed her as she walked up. They watched as Draco walked up to a cabinet and depended it to be fixed and bought a necklace.
"He was scaring the shopkeeper before you got here I'm sure he showed him a dark mark!" Harry told her.
"Come on we have to go before we're caught you, idiots!" Hermione said before grabbed them both and dragging them back to where the others were.
Once back Mrs. Weasley quickly scolded them, "where have you been! I've been worried!"
"Sorry Mrs. Weasley in one of the smaller shops something caught Harry's eye, sadly it wasn't what he thought it was," Hermione explained.
"Oh, no worries dear. Just next time tell us before you have gone for so long."
"Yes, Mrs. Weasley."
"Now run along go get yourselves some icecream with the others."
The three nodded and walked to the ice cream parlor. Where Ginny and surprising Blaze and Theo sat.
Theo with his mouth full, "HEY!"
Hermione gave him a disgruntled look. "Close your mouth!" He grinned.
"Anyway Harry what happened with Dumbledore and then you can tell the others your new obsession this year to them after."
Harry glared at her but started talking. "I meet our new Professor this year and...it's interesting..."
