"Aye man chill I ain't trynna fight witchu "Allen chuckled with a smirk holding his hands up
"Nah come'er!"Kobe seethed going after him as you knew that Kobe wasn't going to stop and Allen was going to soon start fighting back which wouldn't be good
"Wait-IM PREGNANT!"you yelled out just as the first punch was about to connect
Both of the athletes froze looking at you with wide eyes as your heart dropped and your eyes watered
"P-Pregnant?"Allen breathed out looking towards your stomach for a moment before sitting down in the chair next to him with his mouth agape as Kobe's expression was unreadable as his arms fell to his side as he stood against the wall as both of their adrenaline crashed
"6 weeks"You nodded crossing your arms over your chest timidly as it felt like a tremendous weight was lifted off of your shoulders but yet your god brothers silence along with deadly expression was making you feel as if you were the worst person in the world
"B say something please"you said in almost a whisper as the tears rolled down your face as he looked at your stomach before looking up at your eyes with so much disappointment and hurt and then looking over at Allen who was still in shock ,he scoffed shaking his head turning around before walking towards the door slamming it shut as you looked up at the ceiling and the tears poured from your eyes
You felt arms wrap around your waist as Allen brought you to him you buried your face in his chest as he rubbed up and down your back kissing your head

Never did you intend for Kobe to find out about you and Allen this way,never did you want Allen to find out about your first child together this way either
4 months ...that's how long it's been since you've last seen Kobe ,6 weeks ...that's how long it's been since you've spoken to Allen,the two of you got into it about a number of things,one being his current on and off again relations with his baby mama and two ,he believed that you put your family's opinions meaning Kobe's feelings before him because of you being concerned and checking on him.
You pulled into the driveway of your newly bought 5 bedroom house as you stepped out of your Jeep after parking next to your godfather's Bentley and your god sister truck,your jean jacket seemed to come in handy as it was more on the cool side today as it went along with the black leggings and tank top that you had on with some air Jordans
You grabbed the box out of your backseat that contained little stuff that you had already bought for your baby as you kicked the door closed with the back of your foot as you could feel your child kicking ,you were already approaching 6 months making you scrunch up your face funnily at the feeling .
Just as you were going up the concrete steps up to the door ,it swung open as your god father Joe smiled before frowning

You were standing at the counter eating a cheesesteak that your aunt had made as your cousin Shaya rubbed your stomach and your god father continued bring in boxes as your god mother was organizing the rooms upstairs
"Come on baby kick for auntie"your cousin spoke to your belly as you smiled
"Will you leave my future god child alone!"your other god sister Sharia walked in to the kitchen taking off her sunglasses "now who said that you was the damn god mama!"her and Shaya began to argue making you laugh as you chewed.
The front door opened once again as you paid it no mind until you heard a throat clear and you looked up to see your god brother Kobe holding a large box on his shoulder as the room grew silent as he looked at you before looking down at your growing belly
"I'll show you were that box goes Bean"Sharia broke the silence looking between you two as he followed her.
"Y'all still haven't made up?"Shaya's eyes bucked as you shook your head no making her gasp your godmother walked into the kitchen holding a baby onesie to her chest as she cooed
"Isn't this so cu-"she started before stopping noticing the off vibes
"Whats going on?"she looked between the both of you bringing the piece of cloth to her chest
"Ma do you know that Maria and Kobe haven't been talking?"Shaya's loud mouth exposed making you roll your eyes as you put your empty plate in the sink
"What do you mean haven't been talking,not talking for how long?"she furrowed her eyebrows
"The past 4 months"you exhaled looking down at your stomach thinking back to that night as you washed your hands in the sink cleaning up a little
"4 mon-well wh-"she started before putting two and two together
"You didn't tell him?"Shaya cut in as you nodded
"He found out about me and Allen at the same exact time Allen found out I was pregnant,they were going at it so I had to break it up somehow"you shrugged
"Dang girl ,you didn't tell me all that"Shaya said in disbelief as you nodded slowly
"Well I understand that it may have been a shock for Bean to find out that way but you are a grown woman and can make your own decisions,so what I suggest is that you go up those stairs and you and your brother talk like some grown ups"your godmother finished as you exhaled.
You walked the hallway as the conversation coming from the nursery got louder
"She wasn't going to always stay 14 forever Bean and you gotta accept that!"Sharia whisper yelled
"Well it's easy for you to say ,I was the one taking care of her when she had those nightmares when Uncle and Auntie passed ,that was me...so excuse me if I tend to get overprotective"he replied finishing off the conversation as it got quiet and you walked through the doorway
"I'll be downstairs"was all Sharia said before squeezing your shoulder and walking out the room closing the door on her way out

You interlocked your hands before looking around at the half decorated nursery that had boxes scattered around before slowly lowering yourself to the ground to sit criss cross as Kobe cracked a smile doing the same sitting across from you leaning against a box as he extended his legs before crossing one over the other
"I know that you might not like Allen and he might have this reputation but Kobe I promise, he's not like that at all , he treats me well ,he cares for me in multiple ways-"you explained before he interrupted
" I wasn't mad that you and Iverson were talking"he chuckled shaking his head as you looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows
"I was disappointed...disappointed that you didn't feel comfortable enough to come to me as your cousin,to come to me as your god brother ,to come to me as your big brother who will always love and protect and want the best for you to tell me that you were seeing him"he explained looking down as his head shook in disappointment
"If I was mad at anyone it was my self and yeah at the time I was mad at Iverson because as a man and my opponent who I've played against countless number of times he could've at least brought it to my attention ,yah know."He shrugged "But that's in the past now and holding grudges ain't gonna fix anything"your eyes watered in relief finally being able to have this conversation after all this time.
Not having Kobe to talk to especially in the new stage in your life was hell.
Kobe for as long as you can remember has always been this sensible and practical ,you admired that about him

He kissed your forehead as the two of you pulled back
"I got sum to tell you"he smiled "tell me ,tell me!"your curiosity got the best of you as he laughed holding a finger up to his mouth as your eyebrows furrowed
"I met somebody this summer"he talked lowly as your eyes widened "oooo who is it?"you hit his shoulder playfully as he chuckled

You showered before doing your hygiene and your hair care routine that you've been slacking on lately before throwing on a pair of black nike short shorts , a matching long sleeve shirt while your hair was air drying in its natural state as your belly poked through your shirt
You were grateful that you were moved into your new place and finally were settled,you were relieved that you made up with Kobe but you couldn't help
but feel like a huge part was missing with Allen not being there with you
