Part 2 of Surprise Special
"Gad...where are we going?"
My eyes were blindfolded as Gadjah walked me through a place. It was pitch black so I would occasionally trip over a vine or two but Gadjah would always catch me before we would continue walking. Then, he asked for permission to carry me so he could just fly us to our destination. Hesitantly, I agreed before I felt him lift me info his arms. I resisted blushing from such intimate contact. He started flying in the air while my hands were around his neck. He couldn't fly earlier because he didn't want Lolopechka teasing us later.
"We'll be there soon (M/N). Hang on tight"
"I will"
The wind blew against my face as my hair became tousled in the wind. When we landed, Gadjah fixed my outfit and my hair which I still wasn't aware of why I had to dress so nice. He took me by the hand again before I heard the doors slightly creek. I could feel everyone's mana. I wondered what everyone was doing wherever we were. Gadjah held my shoulders to indicate to keep still as he began untying my blindfold.
"Gad.. It's still pitch black in this room. I can't see"
"SUPRISE!!"
Jumping back slightly, my eyes winced slightly at the sudden bright light before I saw everyone sitting at the table. There was a large cake in the centre for me with the words 'Happy Birthday' written in bold. At that moment, I was just so happy that I couldn't help but start sniffling. I started getting red from crying in front of everyone. Everyone was silent at my reaction. Even Mereoleon was silent. My sniffles broke into loud sobs as I brought my hands up to my face to wipe away the seemingly never ending tears.
"What's wrong mommy?" Charmy asked worried
"I-I... I'm so sho h-happy. Thank you everyone... it's the first time I've c-celebrated with friends"
My voice squeaked out as it came out all choked. Gadjah grabbed my hands as he had a tissue to wipe my face away with. His gentle smile made me cry even more when I thought about how everyone worked together to make it happen. I was unbelievably happy and soon began laughing when my tears dried up. I apologised profusely but Asta reassured me it was perfectly fine. They sang me the birthday song even if some didn't follow along.
"Everyone...thank you again. Now! Let's cut this cake!"
"YES!"
Charmy yelled in happiness as she would be getting food despite the glare and warning when Yami told her to behave. The cake was easy to cut in to before I put the first slice on a plate and handed it to Charmy. I continued distributing the cake and soon everyone including myself had a bite. It was delicious. The next order of business was to party. I wasn't going to drink any alcohol but that was only solidified when I saw a paper sign saying for me to keep out.
"Oi, Ghost Maid! You're dancing with me first as your captain"
"Wait, I've only danced once"
My plate was put aside and I pouted for a brief second before I was dragged to the dancefloor by Yami. He didn't listen to me as he had a hand on my waist and took one of my hands into his other. He had a smirk on his face when I reached up to put my arm on his shoulder. He was surprisingly gentle to let me get used to the footwork since I've only done this once with Nozel before. Once I was slightly more comfortable, he ramped up the dancing and began moving fast while I tried to keep up.
"You're doing good for a Ghost Maid"
"Thank you"
Yami then spun me before I leaned back in his arms for the dip before pulling me back up and tossing me over to make me twirl to Nozel. He caught me and we started dancing next. Unlike Yami who was more loose and casual, Nozel seemed uptight yet both their presences were just as dominating. I didn't even realise how much I enjoyed dancing until he brought my hand up to kiss it. My eyes widened in surprise but Fuegoleon immediately took his turn afterwards.
"Say (M/N) what do you think of love?"
"I think it comes differently since there's so many types. If we're talking romantic then I'm open to it"
"That's good to hear. I want to ask you if I may c-" Fuegoleon was cut off by Mereoleon
"Oi my turn! Pass his over!"
Being yanked out of his grasp, Mereoleon had a huge smirk that he shot at his brothers before dancing with me. He was so fast paced and that I nearly tripped. Fuegoleon scolded Mereoleon to be more careful but Mereoleon just gave him the glare of death. I couldn't help but laugh at their antics. Leopold snatched me away from Mereoleon to take me to the other side of the room quickly before Mereoleon could kill him. I ended up goofily dancing with each other. When he dipped me, our noses booped into the other and we both laughed with red faces.
"Are you sure your brother won't murder you?"
"He might but worth it"
Next was Gauche. He seemed to have broke. The nosebleed was heavy so it wasn't really dancing but me fussing over his nose. He got embarrassed by that. Once I was done cleaning his bloody nose, Zora had pranked Gauche so he could have his turn. Clearly, dances weren't his thing but he tried which was so sweet before Luck had whisked me away with a happy grin on his face as he stuck out his tongue. He was sad it wasn't a battle but he was still happy to spend time with me which I found very sweet. Magna got his turn when Luck teasingly tossed me over. He wouldn't look me in the eyes as he tried to be cool. I found it cute.
"May I have my turn?"
"William! Hello"
Hesitantly, Magna passed me over to William and we had a much more gentle dance together. The embodiment of soft. He had a small gentle smile as I laughed along with him. Klaus got a turn too and he spent it showering me in praise. I'm glad I didn't turn into a pile of mush. Asta came next and Klaus passed me over while he praised Asta endlessly too. Asta and I were way more awkward since he didn't know how to dance and I wasn't an expert but we made it work and we had a few good laughs.
Someone came in and swooped me off my feet. It was Yuno who seemed monotone but he had the smallest of tilts at one corner of his mouth. His spirit was fangirling over how well Yuno was treating me. She might have even passed out at one point. I laughed a little at that while Yuno seemed to enjoy my reaction. Gadjah came next and he was really good at dancing. I might have found myself lost in the way we moved together.
"I hope you're not dizzy Ghost Maid! We're partying all night long!"
