Little: Mark (age range 6-non verbal)
Caregiver: Lucas
Lucas had left Mark at home while he went to see his girlfriend. When he got to her house she was kissing another boy. Lucas broke up with her and left. He went to his and Mark's room and cried. Mark heard his sobs and went running up to see what was wrong.
Mark: "Buba is chu otay. How can Markie make chu feel bettew? "
Lucas looked up from his lap and saw his little standing in front of him with a worried expression written on his face. Once Mark saw he was crying he climbed on the bed next to Lucas and hugged him tightly. Lucas hugged back and smiled.
Mark: "Chu bettew? "
Lucas: "I'm better now Markie. You made Buba feel a lot better. "
Mark: " 'm tiwed. "
He yawned and laid his head down on his caregiver's chest. Lucas shook his head at Mark.
Lucas: "You've gotta eat before you get tired so you don't get hungry at midnight like you have before. "
He got up and looked at Mark. He raised his arms wanting to be picked up. Lucas picked the boy up and carried him down stairs. He sat Mark in his highchair.
Lucas: "What do you want to eat Markie? "
Mark: "I have 'oodles? "
Lucas nodded and began fixing the noodles. They got done and he put them in a bowl and cut them up before handing it to the little. He gave Mark his sippy cup, which he had filled with juice.
Mark ate and drank his juice. Lucas put the dishes in the sink, grabbed Mark, and the bottle he had fixed. He laid Mark on his bed. He gave the little his bottle and lion plushie.
Mark finished his bottle and made grabby hands at his paci. Lucas gave the paci to him.
Mark put it in his mouth and pulled Lucas's shirt. He laid down next to the little and the two quickly fell asleep.
