Mother , daughter
A young girl she was
Once, a lifetime ago
Now she holds one in her arms.
The hand travels around the face
Over a million times,
Wiping the marks clean
For one it's slow,
For the other it's fast
As many years past
The young girl grew, her baby did too
Leaning on eachother , the only ones they had
They made it through the storm, and now bask in the warm
Now the experience has changed,
The once young girl is nearing her end
Waiting to be young again
Her daughter holds her hand
As she lays in the bed
The elderly woman says hello to her youth
But not a word is said
