A crisis resulted in our seeing each other again, about 10 months after the split. He was still with his new girlfriend, but he spoke negatively about her and proposed we start seeing each other again. I still loved him, still missed him. In this poem and the next, I imagined what would happen to me if I gave in, and what our relationship might be like.
