You, Clem, and AJ made it back to the school with ease. You three are walking back to your room.
AJ: I like James. He's cool and tough. Not like you guys, but he doesn't kill monsters, but he's also not scared of them.
You see Ruby walking down the hallway.
Ruby: Hey, guys. Willy already informed on the plan. I'm hoping your back with good news from that... guy?
Y/N: His name is James, and he'll be helping us.
Ruby: Well, shit. If anyone told me that we were going to sneak onto a boat via walkers, I'd call them insane.
AJ: What're you doing with those pillows?
Ruby: I'm glad you asked! I'm gonna be throwing a hootenanny for we all fight tomorrow.
AJ: Swear?
Ruby: What?
Clementine: It's not a swear, It's just means party.
Ruby: Right. Everyone needs their spirits lifted up, right now.
Y/N: Well, this could be our last day alive, so why not?
Ruby: I want to make some tea for everyone. Can I use that heater thing of yours?
Y/N: Yeah, We'll fetch it for ya.
AJ: Can I help?
Ruby: Sure! We need some decoration for the old music room, think you can handle it?
AJ: I got it! I'll be an artist!
He runs into the room and you both followed him inside. You grabbed the heater as AJ finishes the drawing.
Clementine: Hey, not bad, kiddo. Keep it up, and you'll be as good as Tenn.
AJ: Tenn's really good. I don't think I can be as good as him.
Y/N: Not with that mindset you can't.
He looks down with a frown.
Clementine: What's wrong? Did Y/N hurt your feelings? Am I gonna have to hurt him?
AJ: No... I was just thinking about stuff... when I was drawing.
He hops out of the chair and walks over to the window.
AJ: I've notice that there's three kinds of eyes. There's alive eyes, which we got. There's dead people eyes, they kinda look like dirty water... And there's alive people eyes right when you kill them, like what Y/N did to Able. His eyes looked like someone blew out a candle. He's a bad guy, but I can't help but feel like this.
Clementine: It's normal to be feeling stuff like that. It shows that you're a good person.
He walks over to the door.
AJ: I've been getting real smart.
Y/N: Oh, yeah?
AJ: Yeah. 'Cause I'm always thinking.
Y/N: What have you been thinking about?
AJ: You and Clem getting bit, and turning into a monster.
You and Clem looked at each other in shock.
Clementine: Oh...
AJ: Yeah. The older I get, I see it more and more. I don't know why. What happens then?
Clementine: AJ, we've talked about this. Tons of times. If me and/or Y/N gets bit, you know what you have to do.
AJ: I don't want to talk about this anymore.
Y/N: Well, you brought it up, so we are.
AJ: It makes my stomach feel weird, like when I get the dookies.
You knelt in front of him.
Y/N: Listen, AJ. We need to know that you remember what we talked about. What you have to do if it happens.
Clementine: AJ, if one of us gets bit, you have to shoot us.
AJ: No, no! I'm not gonna do that! I won't!
Clementine: AJ, You promised!
AJ: I don't care! I'm not gonna shoot you!
Y/N: Hey! You watch your tone, understand?
AJ: I'm sorry, but I don't want to! If one of you get bit, I want to get bit, too.
Clementine: What? You don't mean that.
AJ: I don't want to be alone...
Y/N: You'll still have one of us, kiddo.
AJ: But what if you both get bit?
Clementine: AJ, if you have a gun, you'll shot me. If not, you use your knife. And if you don't have one, then a rock to the head as many times as it takes.
AJ: I'm not gonna do it!
Clementine: AJ, you do what I want. You don't want us to suffer as a walker, do you? You can't break promises, kiddo.
AJ: I know... Can I go on patrol?
Clementine: Fine, but be careful.
He grabs his revolver and opens the door.
Louis: Hey, little man!
AJ: Hi, Louis! I'm going on patrol!
He walks out as Louis walks in.
Louis: Since when was patrolling a thing?
You shrugged your shoulders.
Y/N: I guess since today.
He nervously scratches his neck.
Louis: I've had something on my mind, and I can't help but think... You shot the raider who had me, but you saw them take Violet, too. Which means you could've saved Violet and not me. Why?
Clementine: When I saw Violet... she was fighting them, and when I saw you, you were being dragged. I thought Violet had a better chance of winning since she was actually fighting, you know?
Louis: I... I guess.
He walks over to the dresser.
Louis: I'm always teasing her. Trying to get her to do that one eye roll she does. The "You're such a dumbass I have to a full body eye roll." Well, the reason I do it, it's because it's worth it, making her laugh.
Y/N: There's no need to worry, we're getting her back. Her, Omar, and Aasim.
Louis: Yeah... Hell yeah we will. Well, I'm going to go work on the party. I'll leave you guys alone. Remember what we talked about, Y/N?
He winks as he leaves the room. Clementine looks at you confused.
Clementine: What's that about?
Y/N: Oh, right!
You walked over to the dresser, pulled out a candle, and lit it up.
Y/N: I've been thinking, we've never had a date, really. And Louis talking me into this, since tomorrow we all might die.
You pulled out a bag of pretzels.
Clementine: Pretzels? How romantic.
She giggled.
Y/N: Well, it's better than nothing. So, what do you say?
She kisses you on the cheek.
Clementine: I'd love to. And we will have more, because none of us are dying.
Y/N: I'm loving the confidence!
You opened the bag of pretzels and tried one. It was as solid as a rock and it was stale.
Y/N: You know what?
You opened the door and tossed the bag out.
Y/N: I think nothing is better in this situation. Well, there went that. What do you think we should--
Clementine: Dance with me.
Y/N: What?
Clementine: Dance with me.
Y/N: Clem, you know I can't dance.
She giggles.
Clementine: Neither can I. Please? It's just us, and I don't want our "date" to be ruined.
Y/N: It is our first one... fuck it, I'll do it.
Clementine: Yay.
You walked up to her and wrapped your arms around her waist while she wrapped hers around your neck. You both started swaying left and right, staring in each other's eyes. Her hazel eyes are so... mesmerizing. After a few minutes of swaying, you leaned down and whispered in her ear.
Y/N: It's really awkward doing this without anything to listen to.
She giggles before she starts humming a song, a song she used to hum for AJ when he was a baby.
Clementine: How's that?
You gently grasped her chin.
Y/N: Beautiful.
You slowly leaned down and kissed her, it lasts for a while and it gets more passionate. You were so caught up in the moment that you didn't hear the door open.
AJ: Hey, guys!
You pulled away from her lips and turned around. Your face is meet with a beach ball. You were processing what justnhappened and you hear Clementine whisper.
Clementine: Best first date, ever.
You looked at her and she winks, also giving you a smile that melts your heart.
Clementine: Wow! Where did you find a beach ball?
AJ: I found it behind the school, I had to blow it up and it was pretty gross, but look it works! Cool, right?
Y/N: Super cool!
He laughs.
AJ: Back!
You decided to bop it of his head and you three played with the beach ball for a few minutes. You tossed it aside, held out your arms, and AJ and Clem hugged you.
Y/N: I love you guys, so much.
Clementine: We love you, too, so much.
After a few minutes of hugging, you all pulled away.
Y/N: Sounds like we got a party to attend to. Let's head on down to the music room.
AJ: Okay.
You three exit the dorms and walked towards the admin building.
