~The Beach House~
Y/N stands alone in the bathroom staring at his blurry reflection in the mirror. The sound of static plays loud in his ears as his gem softly glows. He wipes away the condensation off the mirror caused by the running hot water of the sink and looks at the thing on his arm. Y/N raises his other arm and grips the gem tightly. He grits his teeth in pain as he digs his nails deeper into his flesh causing blood to drip but the gem won't budge. Before he can do anything else knocking on the door makes him pull away from it.
Spinel: Hey Dollface? You okay in there?
Looks at the gem embedded in his arm glowing, almost mocking him, taunting him that he can't get rid of it.
Y/N: Yeah, I'm good.
Y/N's hand begins to glow and he heals the cuts around the gem. He turns off the sink and looks back into the mirror seeing diamond pupils for a second before blinking. He opens the bathroom door and is instantly tackled to the ground. Y/N looks up seeing Spinel on top of him with a smile, hugging him.
Y/N: *smirks* This brings back memories.
Spinel: *blushes* Oh really~
Y/N: Mhm. *realization hits along with a red face* oh... oH... OH! No, I mean when we first met!
Spinel: *giggles* Oh right! *brief pause* So, you gonna kiss me or are we just gonna lay here?
Y/N: *smiles* I don't know the floor is pretty comfy. *she glares at him and starts to get up* Oh come here ya noodle.
He grabs her by her hips and flips her around with him now on top looking down at her with a smirk.
Spinel: Oh Mista Hotshot~ What're your plans for me?
Y/N: I got some ideas.
Spinel: Okay then. *whispers in his ear* show me my Diamond~
Y/N grows a devilish smirk and begins to kiss her neck. He usually doesn't like it when people call him that but... there are exceptions. She reaches underneath his shirt and begins to move her hands up feeling his chest. All of a sudden the sound of crunching can be heard behind them causes them to freeze. They both quickly look to see Amethyst leaning in the bathroom doorway eating a bag of chaaaps, causing both of their faces to go red with embarrassment.
Amethyst: Yo.
Y/N: AMETHYST WHAT THE HELL!? *Spinel covers her blushing face with her pigtails*
Amethyst: *eats another chip* What?
Y/N: WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE!?
Amethyst: I was looking for a good laugh.
Y/N: *narrows his eyes* The fuck you mean "a good laugh"?
Amethyst: Besides that. *snickers* Dude why in the bathroom of all places?
Y/N: We thought no one was home! *gets up* You know what lets just never speak of this again.
He helps a blushing Spinel up and the two quickly walk out of the bathroom. Amethyst eats the bag and begins to laugh, following close behind with her hands on the back of her head.
Amethyst: So, what are we doing?
Y/N: Well we were going to head over to the Big Donut to get some... well, donuts.
Amethyst: *a big grin forms on her face* Did you say donuts?
Y/N: Yeah? I-
Y/N looks at her confused but is hit with a sudden realization causing him to slowly start backing up to the door.
Spinel: Y/N? What's wrong?
Y/N: Run.
Spinel: Wha?
Y/N: *turns to her* SPINEL RUN!
The two quickly run out as bright purple light shines through the windows of the house. They run down the Beach House stairs with Spinel confused about what's happening.
Spinel: What is goin' on!?
Y/N: The Cult of the Donut has taken her!
Spinel: *looks at him confused* Cult of the Donut?
As they run a loud bang is heard from behind them and they stop running to turn around. The Purple Puma jumps off the porch landing on the sand and looks up at them with a smile before charging at them.
Spinel & Y/N: AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
Amethest: DoOoONNnUUuuUTTtT~
Y/N: Grab onto me!
Spinel quickly grabs onto him and he looks up the cliffside. His gem glows brightly as he leaps into the air. Amethyst looks up in surprise as Y/N and Spinel land onto the cliffside above the temple.
Y/N: *huff* Shit, this is like Steven tag all over again!
Spinel: *she looks at him with excitement* Steven tag?
Y/N: Yeah, once you're tagged, you become Steven. I guess this is "my version"?
Running footsteps are heard in the distance and the two look to see Steven running at them with a smile.
Spinel & Y/N: Steven!?
Y/N: I thought you were hanging with Connie today?!
Steven: DOOOONUUUUT!
Y/N: OH STARS!
He grabs Spinel and quickly jumps to the top of the lighthouse with Steven following close behind. Y/N quickly summons a bubble around the two. He tries his best to keep the bubble balanced with Steven and now Amethyst latched to the top of it waiting for it to pop. As he tries to keep the bubble steady Spinel begins to grow an evil grin and giggle.
Y/N: Uh Spinel?
Spinel: Pop the bubble.
Y/N: W-What?
Spinel: *She looks up at him with a bright smile* Trust me Dollface.
He nods and looks up at Steven and Amethyst. She wraps one arm around him like a snake and winks at him. ~Pop~ Before the two can drop down on them Spinel quickly zooms out from underneath them with Y/N in hand. She leaps off the lighthouse and swings her way down the cliffside where she wraps her other arm around one of the temple arms and flings them towards the beach. Once they hit the ground, Spinel curls like a spring and jumps high into the air towards the town. Before they can hit the ground, she spins her arm like a helicopter so they carefully land in front of Fish Stew Pizza. She put down a confused Y/N and he quickly looks around then back to her.
Y/N: Wha-Wha-What just, happened?!
Spinel: We're playin' tag silly.
Y/N: But we were just at- *he looks to see the lighthouse in the distance* Wow! *looks at her shocked* You are fast.
Spinel: *she puts her hands behind her back* Yup!
Y/N: Okay so hopefully that buys us some time. We can finally grab our doooo- SPINEL BEHIND YOU!
Before Spinel could turn around she feels a hand on her back. She turns her head to see Steven there with a smirk. Y/N realizing the impending doom begins to back up. Spinel slowly turns back around and giggles at Y/N with a big grin. Steven then steps next to her with Amethyst coming out of nowhere standing next to them as well.
Spinel, Steven & Amethyst: DonuT, DoNUT, DONUT!
Y/N: NOPE!
Y/N instantly turns around and begins to run for his life ducking as a elongated pig arm shoots above him. Spinel's arm turns back around reaches for him but he jumps to the side before it can touch him. He jumps off the boardwalk and runs on the beach kicking up sand. Time seems to slow around him as he runs hiding behind a large rock. As he hides behind the rock Y/N looks around seeing everything back to normal then to himself confused as quietly talks to himself.
Y/N: Whoa. What was that?
???: Hey~
Y/N flinches and looks up to see Amethyst laying on top of the rock waving at him.
Y/N: Uhhhhh hiiiii! *nervously waves*... Is there any chance we could talk about this?
Amethyst: Nope.
Y/N: Shit.
Amethyst: *jumps in the air* DOG-PILE!
Steven and Spinel shoot out from behind the rock jumping up ready to tackle Y/N. He yelps before a black bubble forms around him. The three press their faces against the bubble with a smile.
Spinel: Come on Y/Nie, you can't hide in that bubble forever~
Steven: Don't make me pop this bubble mister!
Y/N smirks at them and begins to run rolling the bubble as he does with the three still attached. He makes it to the beach house and looks up only seeing Steven and Amethyst. His eyes widen and he frantically looks around for the pink noodle but she is nowhere to be seen. Y/N looks back up and sees Steven raising his spiky bubbled fist and Amethyst raising hers with her whip wrapped around her knuckles. Y/N takes a deep breath and looks up at the beach house stairs.
He can't roll up the hill so he's going to have to risk it. The bubble pops and he runs as fast as he can up the stairs, bursting open the front door and locking it behind them. He looks around paranoid knowing he doesn't know where Spinel is. Before he could take another step he hears small scratches followed by quiet giggling in the room but can't find the source. The sounds of scratching and quiet giggling seem like it's coming from all around him but then suddenly realization hits. He slowly looks up to a dark corner of the ceiling seeing two glowing pink eyes and heart.
Y/N: *he looks up terrified* Oh fuck that!
He quickly turns around trying to unlock the door but two pink arms shoot out wrapping around him tackling him to the ground. He opens his eyes to see Spinel's cheek pressed against his as she hugs him tightly.
Spinel: Tagged ya.
Steven and Amethyst run up to the two shocked.
Amethyst: Dude! You tagged him!?
Y/N: How did you guys get in??
Amethyst: *points behind her* The window.
Y/N looks behind them seeing the window wide open.
Y/N: Oh.
Spinel and Y/N sit up and lean against the wall next to the door.
Spinel: Wait, you guys never tagged him before?
Steven: No never!
Spinel: How!? It was so easy!
Y/N: *feeling slightly offended by that* Hey!
~The Barn~
Peridot walks away from her makeshift console and heads inside the barn, looking up at the bubbled bismuth floating above her. She attempts to jump up and grab it but she barely even makes it off the ground.
Peridot: LAPIS!?
Lapis: I'm right here Peri.
Peridot: *turns around to see Lapis right behind her* Oh... A little help?
Lapis: *snickers* Sure.
Lapis' water wings come out and she wraps her arms around Peridot and flies up. Peridot grabs the bubbled gem and the two land back to the ground.
Peridot: *ahem* Thank you.
Peridot walks back outside and places the bubble inside a microwave on the side of the console then presses the pizza button.
Lapis: *walks next to her* So, what're you trying to do?
Peridot: I was able to miniaturize a destabilizer, It's able to separate a normal fusion so maybe it can do the same for this.
Lapis: Are you sure that'll even work?
Peridot: We'll find out in a minute.
Peridot presses start on the microwave and begin to type something down on her console. Lapis looks over Peridot's shoulder interested with Pumpkin stand next to the both curious. A green light shines in the microwave scanning the deformed gem and a small device comes out of one of its walls. The device powers up and shoots small bolts of yellow electricity at the gem causing it to glow.
~Beach City~
Y/N, Spinel, Steven, and Amethyst sit outside The Big Donut with a big box of donuts in front of them.
Spinel: *leans her head on Y/N's shoulder* That was so much fun! We should do that more often!
Amethyst:*nudges Spinel with her elbow* We need you on our side next time!
Spinel: *giggles and takes a bit of a donut* If I let you guys tag me next time. *looks to Y/N* What about you Dollface? Did ya have fun~
Y/N: *Smiles* Yeah, today was great. *begins to rub his right arm* What about you Steven? I thought you and Connie were supposed to go on a date or something today?
Steven: *blushes with embarrassment* Her and her mom had something to do at the hospital. When I was driving back, I saw Amethyst chasing both of you so I thought I'd join in.
Y/N: *continues to rub his arm while looking at the ocean* It's nice y'know, with all the shit going on. These moments make everything feel better.
Amethyst: Yo dude is your arm okay? You're kinda rubbing it a lot.
Y/N: Huh? Yeah, it's just itchy. *Spinel looks at him concerned* It'll go away. *grips his arm tightly*
Spinel: Y/N?
Y/N: *begins to sweat* Y-Yeah?
Everyone looks at him concerned.
Y/N: What I-I'm fine. Really.
Everyone looks at him as he sweats and looks very uncomfortable. All of a sudden he reels back in pain gripping his arm. His gem begins to flicker with light as yellow lines begin to form around the gem spreading down his arm. Black electricity begins to spark from his hand as he screams in pain with some shooting out in different directions.
~The Barn~
The yellow electricity hits the disfigured gem as it slowly begins to defuse. Peridot look at the gem from the other side of the microwave screen with excitement as pumpkin begins to whimper and back up.
Peridot: alllmoooossssstt theeerrrreee!
The gem begins to glow brighter and the two shield their eyes from its light. A purple aura begins to fill the area before the microwave explodes sending the two flying back into the barn. Lapis is the first to run out of the barn with Peridot close behind. They see the gem laying on the ground beginning to reform and Lapis lifts her hand raising the smaller than average lake into a giant fist ready for what's to come.

Thank you guys so much for 1k reads, I can't believe that this story got so many! I know this chapter took a while to come out and I'm sorry for that. With writer's block plus some other stuff, I've not been able to work on it so much. Originally this chapter was gonna take place in Empire City, then it was Home World, then The Garden, then Alpha - 6 (a mentioned place in chapter one) but I didn't like how they turned out. So all in all I wrote like six versions of this chapter. The next chapters might take the same amount of time I'm not sure, I want to make sure they're good. I just wanna say again thank you all so much for the love! I love you all!
