You, Clem, and James were on the trail back to the school. Clementine was carrying AJ, which you can tell she was struggling.
Y/N: Are you positive you don't want me to carry?
Clementine: No... I got him.
You chuckle to yourself.
Y/N: So stubborn.
You three came across a small bridge.
James: Is he awake?
Clementine: Yeah. He's so hot.
Y/N: Awe, Thank you!
Clementine: I wasn't talking about you.
Y/N: Ouch. Well, you didn't deny it.
Clementine: Yep. I didn't.
You all walked in silence until you see the school.
Y/N: Wasn't expecting to be back here, if I'm honest.
You walked up to the gate.
Willy: Walker!
He shoots an arrow next your foot.
Y/N: You meant to shoot it there... right? 'Cause if not, then someone else should be on watch.
His eyes widened as he recognize you, Clem, and AJ.
Willy: Violet! Louis! They came back!
He climbs down the makeshift tower, probably going to get Louis or Violet.
Clementine: James, you live alone out there, right? You could stay with us.
James takes a good look of the arrow in the ground.
James: Can't. Not now.
He walks away.
Y/N: Goodbye... I guess...?
You both wait at the gate for someone to come. Clementine groans as she falls to the floor, AJ still in her arms.
Y/N: Alright, you're not carrying him anymore.
You take AJ from her arms. She doesn't get up.
Y/N: You okay?
Clementine: Yeah... just... resting...
Louis runs to the gate and scowls at you two. Once he sees AJ on your arms, his expression shifts to one of worry. He quickly opens the gate and runs to you.
Louis: Shit! Is he...?
Y/N: He's alive, but shot. He has a fever going.
Louis: I'll take him to Ruby, meet me in the admin building.
He takes AJ out of your arms and rushes back inside. You turn to Clementine.
Y/N: You still need a minute?
She looks up at you with her famous puppy dog eyes.
Y/N: Oh, God. What do you request?
Clementine: Can... can you... carry me?
Y/N: Oh, you know I can't say no to a face like that.
She smiles as you picked her up bridal style. She tightly wraps her arms around your neck, and you walk into the school and into the admin building. You walked up the stairs and you see Louis, Violet, and Ruby standing around AJ, who way laying on the couch.
Ruby: Is she hurt, too?
Y/N: Exhausted. We also got the shrapnel out of him.
She puts a hand over his forehead.
Ruby: He's gotta fever. Body's trying to fight infection, poor little guy.
Violet: Ruby and Louis'll take care of him. We need to talk in the office.
AJ starts calling out to you.
Y/N: Listen to Ruby, okay, buddy? She'll make sure you're alright. What do we do when we're scared?
AJ: We... we breathe, hold it in... I'm good now.
You smiled at him before following Violet into the office. You set Clementine in one of the chairs and she pouts at you.
Y/N: Sorry, I'll make it up to you, somehow.
You winked at her.
Violet: What happened out in the woods, I saw they had you pinned, and I... just ran. I... I thought you were all dead.
Y/N: It's good to see you. I didn't think we'd be back here.
Clementine: Yeah, it's good to see you, Violet.
Violet: It's good to see both of you, too. I'm glad you're both okay. I just wish Mitch and the other's felt the same. What's the deal with that women?
Clementine: Lilly.
Violet: So y'all do know her. We were wondering. Who the hell is she?
Y/N: A crazy bitch. Back when all this shit started, she was in our group and she wasn't bad. But when her father died, started loosing it.
Clementine: She ended up gunning down this girl in our group, Carley, during an argument.
Y/N: You remember what Carley said to her? Man, she got fucking destroyed.
Violet: I believe you... but...
Clementine: But?
Violet: Willy said someone else was with you at the gate.
Y/N: James. He's the reason me, Clem and AJ are still alive.
Violet: Why did you bring him here? You led him right to us.
Clementine: Don't worry about him, we can trust him.
Violet: Willy said he had like animal skin on his head.
Y/N: Walker skin. He uses it to get past herds. Guide them.
Violet: Okay... That's a lot to take in.
Clementine: We wouldn't have brought him here if we thought he was a threat.
Violet: It's not that I don't trust you both, I'm just worried about the others and what they might do.
Y/N: We should be the least of their worries. Lilly and Able are gonna come here. They're are gonna attack. James told us.
Violet: How does he know?
Clementine: He's watched them for a while. They're at war, and they kidnap kids so they can fight for them.
Violet: Is that what happened to Minnie and Sophie? They turned them into soldiers?
Clementine: Maybe. It'll happened to us, too, if we don't stop them.
Violet: Minnie didn't even like killing walkers...
You see Clementine thinking.
Y/N: What's on your mind?
Clementine: This place. It's a fortress. With a little work, we could make this place really hard to attack.
Violet: Do you know how to actually do that?
Clementine: Yeah. Me and Y/N were apart of a siege once, in a town, called Richmond. Here let me show you.
She pulled out a map and you all three talked about the possibilities you could. Violet said you could go grab bared wire that was in the greenhouse to put on the walls.
Clementine: Y/N and I'll go.
Violet: You sure? It's gonna be swarming with walkers by now.
The door slams open.
Mitch: What the hell is going on?! Willy told me they were back, but I was like, no, Violet wouldn't go against what we all decided.
Ruby walks in and closes the door.
Ruby: Would you shut up? The little boy is asleep! He'll be fine, guys. The fever is already going down.
Mitch: Oh, so we're handing them our medicine, too? unbelievable!
Violet: Mitch, those raider's we saw in the woods? They're arming up to attack the school. We need Clem and Y/N's help.
Mitch: No we don't! For all we know, they could be spies!
Y/N: If we were with them, why did they shoot AJ? Use your head!
Mitch: Maybe AJ shot one of their friends!
Violet: Clem and Y/N are going to the greenhouse to find barbed wire and you're going with them!
Mitch: Uh, hell no!
Violet: Yes, you are. They could use a couple of extra hands.
Ruby: I'll go to. I'll... you know, keep the peace.
Violet turns to you.
Violet: These two'll meet you at the gate, and you can all go to the greenhouse once I've explained everything.
You nodded at her.
Clementine: We'll see you both there.
You and Clementine walked out of the office, headed to the gate and waited for Ruby and Mitch.
