"Akira you want some to eat?" Christian asked as he stood in the door with his attention on his phone

"Well don't.. I'll be glad when you leave for school anyways"
"Hope my feelings ain supposed to be hurt" he shrugged before walking off and I turned back up my music playing from my tv. As Valentines Day by Kehlani played I let out a sigh and read a text from Egypt. Thinking about me even mentioning Christian going off to college honestly made me realize that my brother was really leaving within the next couple of months and no matter how hard I try to front, I know ima miss the hell out of him so we were gonna have to talk eventually
I got up out of the bed and left my room going to his. Christian sat on his bed counting money, most likely money he won from street racing with his friends or betting on cars. He looked at me and shook his head
"The fuck you want?"
"You ain gotta be rude Christian"
Christian kissed his teeth "ion got time for yo shit Akira"
"Look.. you leave soon and even though I wanna stay mad at you, I can't"
"You ain got no reason to be mad"
I looked at him some type of way
"Christian you got my best friend pregnant. And on top of that you ain even acknowledging the baby. Who the fuck does that and why? I knew you could be capable of a lot of things but being a dead beat.. that's the final straw"
"I ain no fuckin deadbeat. I told that girl ion need no baby runnin around so if she chose to keep it that's on her"
"Really?! That's how you feel? You knew the consequences of unprotected sex but unlike you, she has to face the results of her actions. While you out here fucking anything with a pussy and a pulse and living your best life SHE working nonstop while keeping her grades up to have a great life for her and this baby. And you already know how much people already bullied her at school and this didn't make it any better."
"So you think I'm supposed to stay around for a baby ion want?"
"And you think she wanted him too?! No I'm not saying stay around but DAMN! If Tremaine wasn't there for her she'd probably feel like she was in this alone. He goes to doctors appointments with her if her mom and aunt can't make it, he buys the baby clothes, diapers, shit he even helped with her baby shower the other week and all you gave was your ass to kiss. And no matter how hard you wanna believe that it's not your baby, truth is you gonna have a whole child walking on the earth soon.. you need to do better"
He kissed his teeth and I walked out of the room to go back into mine

"Egypt" my mom called my name as I sat back on the chair rubbing my stomach. As she walked into the living room I couldn't help but notice she was dressed in a nice pair of jeans with a white T-shirt and her hair pulled back into a low ponytail "you don't want me to drop you off at Akira's for Christian's graduation party?"
I shook my head and let out a breath before talking
"No. I really don't feel good"
"You sitting right on your due date. I bet you don't" she reached down and pressed on my stomach all over
"He ain move all day either"
"He probably ready to come on.. you sure you don't mind me going grocery shopping right now?"
"Go ahead momma. I'll be alright. Mrs Gee right down the road just in case"
"Alright then. I won't take long. Call me if you need ANYTHING egypt. And your brothers and sister not allowed outta them rooms till they get cleaned"
"Alright" I responded before she kissed my forehead and walked out of the house. After she left I just sat back and stared at cheaters as it played on tv. My body was so exhausted and at this point I wanted this baby out of me. A knock on the door caught my attention but I didn't feel like getting up
"VAEH THE DOOR!"
"You right there by it!" She yelled back with an attitude
"I can't move. Come answer the door and stop being a butthole"
I could hear Vaeh stomping from the room and she headed to the door swinging it open
"Thank god you here cause yo babymomma get on my nerves. Ready for her to have that baby" she fussed and I heard Tremaine laugh as he walked in closing the door behind him.
"Keep on talking" I told Vaeh as I watched her head back to the room and Tremaine flopped down on the chair beside me
"Why you look so mad? How you feelin?"
"I'm exhausted, I'm fat and I just wanna sleep on my stomach again because my back is killing me"
"That mean he coming real soon."
"I hope so... I thought you would've been at somebody's graduation party today"
"And I figured you would've been at ol boy graduation party with Akira."
I cut my eyes at Tremaine before rolling them
"I don't feel like moving"
"You talk to Akira?"
"Earlier" I answered while turning down the tv "she said she was coming over here after the party. Now that schools out she be over here 24/7"
"I noticed that. She gone stay witchu at yo aunt house too?"
"She say she want to but she gotta ask her momma. Aunt Terri said it's fine with her though"
"Even if she stay or not I know her ass gone be over there everyday"
"Egypt" Evan walked into the living room "can we eat? I'm hungry"
"Go ahead and fix you and Sean a sandwich or something. Ion feel good enough to cook anything"
"But ion want no sandwich"
"Oh well"
"Whatchu want then? I'll help you cook whatever you want" Tremaine told Evan while he started to stand up and I felt a sharp cramp in my side making me groan in pain
"What happened?! You straight?" Tremaine quickly asked and Evan kissed his teeth
"She just tryina stop you from helping me cook so I can make a sandwich"
"No I'm not dumbass"
"Ima tell momma you cursing"
"Ion care-mhhh" i grunted, feeling another pain
"I need to call my grandma down here?"
"No. I'm good.. I have slight contractions every now and then. Momma said it's cause he getting ready to come. I'm alright" I breathed before sitting back in the chair rubbing my stomach

Fucked up with a hangover from my graduation party last night, I sat up in the bed and rubbed my face.
"Shit" I groaned while getting out the bed and rubbed my stomach while letting out a yawn hearing the door in the living room slam close followed by Akira and my momma talking
On the other side of the room was my phone so I grabbed it and walked out of the room, almost running into Akira and she looked my in the face with her face frowned up
"You look bad"
"Shut up"
She held her hand over her nose "No you need to shut up until you brush your teeth.. and tongue"
"Fuck out my face. And where y'all just comin from"
"The hospital" my momma answered as she walked past us and went down the hall
"The hospital? Why?"
"Egypt had the baby early this morning" Akira said as she crossed her arms then her voice got lower "congratulations.. you're a daddy now" she quietly told me before walking off and I stood in the hall staring at the wall, realizing that this shit was really real.
Egypt was really pregnant with my baby and it's really here. What the fuck?
