You, Clem, and AJ sat at a table with Ruby, Marlon, and Louis. Soon, Louis passes the bowls around.
Louis: Ladies and gentleman, dinner is served!
Clementine: Thanks.
You ate some of the stew.
Y/N: Holy fu-frick. I haven't ate a hot meal like this in a long, long time.
Clementine: Yeah. This is really good.
You look to your left and you see AJ downing his stew.
Ruby: Ugh, come on!
His looks at everyone and burps before he goes back to downing it.
Clementine burps, and so does AJ again. They both then look at you.
Y/N: If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
You give them a loud burp. You three then started laughing.
Ruby: Oh, good lord!
Marlon: Enough!
Ruby: Thank you!
Marlon slowly turns to her and burps. She gets up and leaves as you all started laughing.
Louis: Goodnight, Rubyyyy!
AJ: Guys?
You and Clem look at him. His bowl was now empty.
Clementine: I'm sorry, kiddo. I'm sure they shared all they could.
Louis whistles at AJ and sides his bowl over to him.
Y/N: You sure?
Louis: You bet! I'm sure it's his first hot meal, so I want him to enjoy as much as he can.
You and Clem both give him a grateful smile.
AJ: Ah, I'm all done.
You looked at AJ, who now had two empty bowls in front of him.
Y/N: Already? Wow! I'm done, too.
Clementine: Same here.
AJ: So... what now?
Louis: I'll tell you what.
He turns his chair around and pulls out a deck of cards.
Louis: It's time for something important.
Brody: Oh, lord. Goodnight!
Louis: Vi! It's time.
Marlon stacks all of the bowls and moves them.
Marlon: What's the game tonight, Lou?
Louis: War! A game played by man and beast alike. The only game there is.
Y/N: I don't know how to play, but I'm still gonna win.
Louis: Cocky, I see.
Violet sits down next to Marlon.
Violet: It's easy. Everyone gets a stack of cards, everyone flips one over. Highest card wins.
Louis: And the winner gets to ask Clem and Y/N a question.
You and Clem look at him skeptical.
Louis: What? I wanna get to know you, we all do.
Clementine: And what if we win?
Louis: You can ask us one. It's only fair.
Clementine: Wait. What about AJ?
You both look around and you see him talking to Tenn.
Marlon: What about him? It looks like he made a friend. Come on. You two can take your eyes off him for one card game. I'll bet you two could take a break from him.
Clementine: Maybe. This is his first time around someone his own age. He acts like an adult more than a kid most of the time. It's nice to see him act like a little boy again.
Y/N: That makes two of us.
Marlon: Louis, if you would?
He flips one over and so does everyone else. You flipped one and got a 5, the winner was Violet.
Violet: Way to go me. So, about AJ... where are his parents?
Clementine: Gone. They were good people. For the most part.
Louis: It makes sense. He's a good kid.
Y/N: Heh, for the most part.
Everyone flipped again and this time you win.
Clementine: Hey, we win.
Louis: Hey, you do. So, what do you wanna know?
Clementine: Worst injury you ever saw?
Violet: I saw a walker get hit in the back of the head so hard that both of it's eyeballs flew out. Pretty cool.
Louis: I saw someone's intestines get pulled all the way out, like ALL the way. We got a ton of guts.
Clementine: Me and Y/N saw this guy get his face beaten in by a crowbar, badly. There wasn't any skin left.
Louis: Ouch.
Y/N: Eh, he deserved it. He killed AJ's dad.
Everyone flips their cards and Louis wins.
Louis: Booyah!
He hesitates.
Violet: C'mon. We ain't got all day.
Louis: So, Clem... uh... have you ever had a... boyfriend...?
Violet: Oh, my god!
She lightly slams her fist on the table.
Louis: What? It's a perfectly valid question! She can ask me if I had a girlfriend, which I haven't , by the way.
Clementine: Yeah.
She holds her hand and brings it above the table to show everyone.
Clementine: His name is Y/N.
Marlon: Ha. I knew it. Just from the way you two acted around each other eariler.
Louis: Oh... uh... this is awkward. I was just asking, Y/N. Don't kill me.
You laugh.
Y/N: Don't try anything funny with her and you won't have to worry about it.
Louis: Noted.
Everyone flips again and Marlon wins.
Marlon: Ha. I win! So, guys... You couldn't have been alone this whole time. Who used to take care of you?
Clementine: The first person who taught us about survival was Lee.
Marlon: What'd he teach you?
Clementine: Lots of stuff.
Marlon: Most important thing?
Clementine: How to say goodbye...
She looks down with a frown on her face. You wrapped an arm around her and rubbed her arm.
Y/N: It's okay... He'd be proud of us.
Marlon: I'm sorry. It's a sensitive subject. Got it.
Everyone flips again and you win.
Y/N: We win once again.
Louis: You do indeed. Ask away.
Y/N: Marlon, what is up with that haircut?
Louis: Uh-oh...

Violet: He is saying it looks like a dead cat. Probably smells like one, too.
Marlon: Uh, I look cool.

Everyone flips and Violet is the winner.
Violet: Victory Violet. Y/N, what the hell is that thing on your neck?
Y/N: Oh, this?
You pointed to the New Frontier brand.
Y/N: Me and Clem were in this gang a few years back.
Louis: A gang? That's sounds cool and badass!
Y/N: Expect it wasn't. They took AJ from us.
Clementine rolls up her sleeve to show them her brand.
Clementine: It's brand, it was like an initiation type thing.
Y/N: It fucking HURT.
Marlon: I would assume so.
Everyone flips and Louis wins again.
Louis: I am the greatest card player--
Violet: Just ask the damn question.
Louis: Have you... you know what? Nevermind.
Clementine: What is it?
You glare at him.
Y/N: Are you gonna ask if me and Clem "did it"?
Louis: What!? No! It's just... have you two ever killed someone you loved?
Y/N: Oh... the fuck kind of question is that?!

Marlon: Louis, dude.
Louis: He pressured me!
Clementine: Lee. His name was Lee. It was the same day I found out my parents were dead.
Louis: Sounds like a rough day.

She gets up.
Clementine: I think I'm done for the night.
Y/N: Me too.
Marlon: I don't blame you two.
He glares at Louis. You walked over to AJ.
Y/N: Come on, buddy.
He looks at and back to Tenn.
AJ: Uh, goodnight.
Tenn: Night AJ.
You three started walking to the dorms. Marlon runs up to you and walks with you three.
Marlon: Long day, huh?
Clementine: Yup. Real long.
Louis: I hope you both know that Louis didn't mean any harm there. He's just the worlds biggest dumbass. He's my best friend, so I can legally call him that.
Clementine: Looks like Y/N is gonna have some competition.
Y/N: Ha-ha. This is why I make fun of your height.
She giggles and shakes her head as you reach the dorms. Marlon opens the door for you.
Marlon: You guys relax, get some sleep, feel human for a night. In the morning, come find me. We can talk about making this long-term.
AJ: So we can stay?
Marlon: We'll talk about it, little dude. Get some rest for now. Goodnight, you three.
You three walked inside and headed to y'all's room.
