(Rin pov)
I woke up to find myself alone on Yukio's bed and I looked over to the window that was beside the door I saw it about afternoon, maybe early morning. I was still in my demon form, not that I minded. I thought about the past events just laying there on my stomach and legs before I got up accordingly. Front legs going to back like a dog would. I jumped off the bed and landed with perfect balance.
I walked over to the door with my claws sometimes hitting the wooden floor creating a nice click/tap sound. I was too short to reach the door no so I moved my tail up to the door nob and wrapped it around it and twisted it and opened the door. Squeezing my front paw between to open the door more before squeezing my little horned head through along with the rest of my body. I soon heard the door slam behind me making me jump. 'That almost slammed on my tail! That would have hurt like hell!' I think thankfully and terrified that I could have had a very painful tail for the next hour.
I sigh as I see stairs at the end of the corridor. 'Why... Just why. My greatest enemy.' I was not good with stairs in my demon form, I guess you really could call it my demon form now that I had officially been confirmed as a demon by my own father. I took a breath and took each step a step at a time but of course, I messed up and fell, rolling down the stairs and landing with a loud squeak.
(Yukio pov)
I and dad were sitting at the table and I was drinking coffee while dad went through some files that the Vatican asked him to go through. The clergymen were just doing some jobs around the monastery. Suddenly there was a loud squeak. 'What was that?' I ask and out of curiosity I and dad both get up heading to the stairs where it came from. We were confused as to where the sound came from until we looked down and there he was.
(Shiro pov)
I looked down to see Rin, the small white fluffed Rin shaking his head as I presumed he had just fallen down the stairs and gave a... Squeak? He brought a paw up to his head to try and help the pain and then proceeded to let it hand as it was his middle paw. He opened his eye and looked up wide-eyed, staring at us.
He suddenly took a sharp breath and quickly ran towards the church seats and me and Yukio proceeded to follow him after we had come out of our trans of starring.
He came to a halt and frantically looked around, "Rin." I said in a small soft voice but it was a little stern hoping for him to listen to me. He jumped turning around and took a step back and leaning back on his legs like a cat would when it's scared and trying to protect itself. My face softened when I saw the fear in his eyes though. Suddenly he looked left and pounced forward running. I turned and saw him running before he was picked up by the tail by no other than Yukio who knew a tail was very painful to be pulled for a demon. He was now hanging upside down and whining before trying to curl upwards and scratch and claw at the hand holding his tail. His new growl turned back into whines I instantly told to let him go as it was hurting him.
Rin was on the move again, scurrying away and ended up hiding under the altar that was draped in a long cloth. I went over and lifted the cloth placing it on top of the later. I saw Rin's eyes glow a vibrant blue in the dark with only a little light seeping in. He shook in fear and I instantly realized I had let this happen... 'How could I let this happen? He should never be afraid of me or Yukio or anyone in the church for that matter.' "Rin, come out from under the altar we're not going to hurt you." I tell him and he does not oblige. "No." I was a little shocked he could speak in his for we had newly learned about since he had not talked in it I had no idea he could and nor did Yukio who was equally shocked as I was. I snapped out my shock and asked why. I shot Yukio a concerned look and he shrugged his shoulders just as concerned as I was.
(Third person view)
Rin continued to shake with fear under the later table as Shiro asked him"Why?" And he answered with: "B-B-Because you s-aid..." He paused for a moment still scared and not sure how to get his words out but then proceeded to talk again. "You said you wouldn't look after me anymore if I was a demon and you would send me off to someone so they could look after me instead." Tears welled up in his eyes and soaking the fur around his eyes. "And I don't wanna go!" Rin said a little louder than the whisper he had been speaking in nd he shook his head with closed eyes. "I want to stay with you and Yukio!" He as he laid his head on the ground with closed eyes and his middles paws scratching and pressing his eras down. (Shiro actually said this in the manga as it was part of the deal with Mephisto). "Oh Rin, I would never send you away," Shiro told his son but Rin still found his words hard to believe, he was just lied to his whole life and told he would be taken away by Timbuktu. "B-But..." "No buts." The white-haired man said with a smile that gave warmth and comfort to the small creature.
They all stayed quiet for some time but Rin had stopped shaking and let himself come out of the ball he had been in. Yukio bent down and apologized for pulling the older tail and Rin accepted the apology. "Do you think you want to come out?" Yukio asked putting his hand on the floor to balance himself as he was squatted down. Rin nodded and crawled out close to the ground and then when he was out he sat. He sat arm's length away from the others but soon enough he was back to lying on the floor covering his ears when a loud voice came from of the clergymen. "Mr. Fujimoto I'm do- done?" "Shhhh!" Shiro and Yukio said in unison to the church helped that came from the kitchen. The clergyman was confused about the situation and the others joined him not saying a word as they saw what happened the one just now. Now the whole room was silent, no noise just silence. The helpers sat down beside Shiro and Yukio who had already sat down.
"Is it okay if we ask some questions because we're all still quite confused." Shiro sounded calm and his voice close to a whisper, Rin was now also sitting up and he nodded in response. "When did this first happen?" Rin knew what he was saying with the highlight in his word and also Shiro circling Rin with his finger. "I was nine almost ten. It was when I came back from falling down a fleet of stairs and crashed into a door." "Not that that's what really happened," Rin grumbled and was said under his breath. "Then what really happened?" Rin's eyes widened at realizing Shiro had heard him. "Crashed into a guy and he got angry." "Rin! Why didn't you tell us this?!" Yukio said loudly and realize had raised his voice after Rin was once again lying on the floor covering his ears to try and block out the loud noise. Keyword try. "Sorry," Yukio said in a quieter voice. "Why haven't you turned back to human?" Shiro asked as he expected Rin to already be human. "I can't." He said blandly picking up a front paw and putting down a middle paw to balance and he took his paw and scratched at the loose plank of wood. "Why not?" A clergyman asked. "Since I've remained human for so long, specifically five years, I've tired myself out and can no longer be human, well that is until I've changed up a bit of energy. I could turn but it would be painful, being human for five years straight and not turning was rather painful. "Did you not turn because you were scared to tell us?" Shiro asked as sadness coated his voice and he suspected this was the reason. "Yeah.." Rin answered looking down at his paw that was clawing at the wood. "I'll just sleep for about a month and the odd few times I'll eat," Rin informs them.
(Rin pov)
I looked up and stared at it not taking my eyes off it. 'That looks comfortable, I wanna lay on it...'
(Shiro pov)
I saw Rin staring somewhere and so I followed his gaze. I was confused but soon realized. "Alright," I respond. "Rin." I catch his attention and pat my lap. He'd been staring at my lap for about three minutes straight now. He stands up and hesitates for a moment before doing a little run over to me and climbing on my lap. He looked up at me like he just got the best thing in the world. I smiled and he then laid down on his side facing me. He then proceeded to fall asleep and I picked up a head and stroked his hand and then going down to his neck to stroke his neck which was very furry compared to the rest of his body, it was like a main. Soon enough we all heard Rin start to purr. My eyes went a little wide and my mouth gaped a little but I snapped out of it when Rin told us to shut up in an angry voice as if he knew what we were all thinking. 'There it is... The you, we all know and love.' We all chuckled and I continued to play with his soft main.
And at that moment. Everything was perfect
