Tiana
30 minutes later

Still sitting at the dining room table, I listened as footsteps came down the staircase. I cleared my throat, mentally preparing for what was about to happen. I knew it was time, I couldn't hold out any longer.

"Tiana." Dom called as I sat up straight.

"I'm in the dining room." I called out as he made his way over to me.

Saying nothing else, he walked in and just looked at me. There was a long silence as I waited for him to speak, wondering if I should just be the one to start.

"Tell me what's up with you." He then spoke, breaking the silence.

"You're crying real tears while I'm fuckin' on you, my sister keep tryna tell me shit in morris code and I'm just confused, ma."

"What's up?" He went on, low key bucking at me.

"Okay.." I trailed off, wiping my sweaty hands again for what felt like the hundredth time.

As I was about to finally speak, the doorbell rang over and over, making me sigh in both defeat and relief. At least I had a little more time to get prepare myself.

"Hol' on, baby." He sighed, making his way over to the door to see who it was.

"What's up, nigga?" One of his friends, Leek, came in with his other friend, Zay, right behind him.

"Ain't shit, what y'all want?"

"Where Dej at?" They asked as he now made his way back over to me.

"She upstairs." He told them and they made their way up there while Dom took a seat directly across from me.

"Aight, go ahead. You got all my attention na', baby." He went onto say, removing the already rolled blunt from behind his ear and patting his pockets for a lighter.

Realizing this might be easier if he was high, I waited a while for him to find it then watched as he sparked it when he finally did. He then took a long pull from it, watching me the entire time.

"So I'm guessing whatever you about to say to me got you scared.." He trailed off, blowing the smoke out.

"What do you mean? Why you say that?" I asked stalling with questions and secretly hoping Dej didn't already tell him.

"Because you still ain't said a word, T." He spoke softly.

"That's because I'm just trying to find the right words." I admitted and he just looked into my eyes.

The room went quiet again as he looked at me and I looked down at my hands.

"Lemme ask you this.." He spoke up, taking another long pull.

"Did I slip up and put a baby in you?" He went onto ask, throwing me all the way off.

"Wait, huh?"

"Is you gon' have my baby?" He asked and I couldn't help to laugh at how wrong he was and he ended up doing the same.

"Look I'm just asking, bae. That's the only thing I can think of that would have you scared like this." He said as the guys came flying back downstairs with Dej right behind them.

"Yo, Dom. The bros and the hoes about to slide." Dej interrupted, making him furrow his eyebrows.

"Hol' on, ma."

"What?" He asked, turning around to look at her.

"You heard her. We bout' to have a orgy in this bitch." Leek joked, making everybody laugh.

"Nah. We just about to chill out and fuck with these hoes for a minute."

"Na', I ain't feeling that. T here.." Dom trailed off, turning back around to look at me.

"Tiana ain't no damn baby. She already know how we get down in this household." She joked before they all walked outside and he angrily licked his lips

"Come on, baby. We gon' upstairs to talk." He nodded his head toward the staircase and I simply nodded, just buying myself more time.

As we made our way upstairs, I became more and more nervous to tell him anything. I could feel myself chickening out. I really couldn't do this. I was beginning to think of all the things that could happen after I told him and I just wasn't ready for any of it. But, I knew holding onto the information came with more and more consequences the longer I held it in.

I was simply stuck in the middle.

We finally made it to his room and he closed the door behind us as we walked in. Walking over to the bed, I sat down and blurted out the first thing that came to my mind.

"Babe, my mom doesn't want us to be together." I told him, sitting on the both of my hands from nervousness.

"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"My mom.." I trailed off.

"She doesn't want me to be with you." I said again and he stood there for a while, thinking deeply before a small smirk appeared on his face.

"I know." He let out a chuckle.

"You know?" I asked and he simply nodded, taking a seat.

"You think I don't know that you be lying to her about your whereabouts, Tiana? We been together five years.." He trailed off.

"She ain't never like me." He shrugged.

"But guess what?" He asked, turning around to look at me.

"I ain't never give a fuck either." He spat.

"You like me right?"

"Of course I do, crazy." I playfully rolled my eyes and he shrugged.

"So that's all that's ever gon' matter to me."

"I love you and I'm with you."

"I ain't with her, so this relationship ain't got shit to do with her ." He went on.

"I love you too." I spoke, looking down as he turned around to pull me to him.

"That's what you was scared of this whole time?" He couldn't help but to laugh and I smiled small.

No but I'm too much of a punk to tell you what's really going on. I thought to myself.

"Yeah, I just didn't want you to be upset." I explained and he scoffed.

"Never. I'd never be upset with you because of some shit your mom got going on. She don't fuck with me, she never did and that's cool." He shrugged.

"As long as I got you, I don't give a fuck about shit else."

"She ain't gon' make me stop seeing you, I don't give a fuck what she do."

That night
1am

"Nigga, fall back before I have to bust a cap in that ass." Dej threatened Leek as we all sat in the living room, while they played cards and blasted music.

"Throw that shit out and watch what happen." She continued to threatened as everybody watched him change up his cards, throwing out something completely different.

"That's what I thought, pussy. Now that's game." She slammed her card down ending the game as everybody went crazy.

"Ohhhh shit."

There were so many guys in here right now, I couldn't even keep up with everybody. I just knew they were all friends of Dej. Dom knew everybody too but he just didn't call them friends.

"You good?" He asked, taking a pull from his blunt in the rowdy room while I sat directly behind him on the couch.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You're hurting my legs a little bit though." I joked as he leaned back in between them, poking his lips out. I then leaned down to kiss him as we pecked each other lips over and over and over.

"Okay, stop." I whined, finally pulling away as he laughed, sitting up again.

"Yo, Lover boy. Come on. You next nigga. Let me bust your ass." Dej yelled to him and he shook his head.

"Na' I'm chillin'." He flagged her off, taking another pull from his blunt.

He wasn't a party person at all, he was quiet and observant for the most part. He just liked to be in his own space. But of course Dej begged him to come be apart of the "party."

"Aw man, he bitchin' up on us." She went on, downing the Henny bottle that was placed on the table.

"Who tryna get that ass busted?" She went on, looking for her next competition as everybody else, goofed off and started talking bullshit.

"Yo I forgot to tell y'all niggas. Why I was fuckin' on some white pussy the other night?"

"What?" They all asked as I listened closely to this random guy boasting about having sex with a white girl.

"Hell yeah. Pussy was good as hell too."

"See, I tried to tell these niggas." Leek boasted too, dapping the guy up.

"Pause. I thought you was cuffed nigga and I know damn well yo' bitch ain't white." Somebody bursted his bubble, making everybody laugh.

"Got a whole black queen and you fuckin' on a white bitch?"

"Shit. What she don't know won't hurt her." Was all he said and I couldn't help but to think about my situation at hand. That was honestly true, something's you just had to keep to yourself so that you wouldn't hurt your partner.

I was just an honest person before all of this and lying to Dom like this was doing nothing but eating me alive. For a pathological liar, this would've been easy.

"Man, stop doing that girl like that. Shit just unsanitary." Dej spoke, shaking her head, making everybody look over to her.

"Says the hoe ass nigga that ran through every shawty on D Block." The guy spat back at her as everybody started laughing, even her.

"Well at least I own up to my shit." She went on, her eyes falling upon me as I sat there mentally pleading for her not to be too drunk and slip up saying something.

"Yeah, whatever." The guy waved her off before they went back to their own conversations and I sat there a nervous wreck.

"T." Dej called me and I looked up at her.

"Hm?" I asked nervously, bugging my bottom lip.

"Tell him." Was all she said, making Dom look back at me and then to her.

"Whatchu talkin' about?" He knitted his eyebrows, putting his blunt out.

"Why your drunk ass fuckin' with her?" He went onto say, defending me and she tooted her lips up.

"I ain't fuckin' with her but she know she's wrong for still not speaking up."

"Dej, stop." I rolled my eyes, making her scoff.

"Just do it and get it over with then." She went on, making me sigh deeply.

I'd planned on doing it on my own time and I thought she was on my side but I guess not.

"What she rappin' bout, T?" Dom looked back at me with a serious look on his face. I knew that face meant business, I had to tell him now. He knew something was up.

"Babe, I-"
