"Did you find something nice?" Damon asked as we walked into the house
"Oh wait til you see her in it!" Alisha cut me off before I could even open my mouth
"I can't wait" he wiggled his brows at me
"Babe, why does this card have my name on it?" I pulled the card out of my purse and showed it to him
"I got you a card on my account" he smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back
Tony walked into the living room with us, clearing his throat to make it evident that he was in the room
"So, I need a date for tomorrow too" he turned to look at Alisha "would you like to accompany me?"
Good thing she had just got a nice dress at the mall earlier
"I'd love to" she smiled from ear to ear, thank goodness I'll have her there with me in case I need company
"Perfect, we will all ride together" Damon patted Tony in the back and smiled over to me "Alisha, my driver will take you home and he'll pick you up tomorrow to come get ready with Rachel"
"Sounds good to me" she smiled as she got up to hug me and Damon..hugging Tony last, he kissed her on the cheek and walked her out to the car
It was nice to talk to Alisha, luckily when I told her everything about Damon she didn't flip out, even though I knew she wouldn't..and she knows Tony is part of everything too. She agreed with me, something about the bad boys is so attractive
"I can't believe this house" Alisha looked over at me as I applied my eyeshadow
"I know right!" I laughed "I was so caught off guard when he brought me here" I'm still barely used to it if I'm being honest
"This bathroom is bigger than my apartment!" She waved her arms around as she looked around
"Thats the exact thing I thought to myself" we laughed together knowing that we are so much alike
As we finished our makeup we slipped into our dresses. Alisha got a beautiful black dress with thin spaghetti straps, the dress had nice ruffles going down her legs with a small slit on either side
"Alisha that looks amazing on you" I always thought that Alisha was gorgeous, but sometimes she surpasses it
"Rach you look beautiful" she smiled at me, honestly I love how this dress looks on me
"Are you ladies ready?" Damon yelled from downstairs
"Coming!" We quickly applied some perfume and made our way downstairs
The guys were standing at the bottom of one of the staircases waiting for us, their eyes lit up when they saw us. Damon was wearing an all black suit with a black dress shirt, his usual, but i swear I'll never get tired of it
They each held their hands out for us as we approached the bottom of the stairs. Damon spun me around and looked me up and down, he pulled me close to him and whispered in my ear
"I can't wait to rip that off of you later" and again the butterflies filled my stomach
We arrived in front of the elegant hotel, it looked crowded with a lot of people. Damon stepped out of the car and walked around to open my door, as did Tony for Alisha since they sat in the back.
"Holy crap" Alisha spoke as she grabbed onto my arm
Alisha wrapped her arm around Tony's and I did the same with Damon. We walked into the building overflowing with people, this is definitely a different environment for me. We walked around with Damon and Tony as they introduced us to a variety of different people, I probably will never remember their names but its nice to pretend I will.
"Is that the governor?" Alisha leaned in to whisper to me, an older man walked into the ballroom with his wife at his side, behind him was a younger man that looked a lot like him..I'm assuming that he's his son.
"Yep that's him" Tony walked up between us, obviously hearing what Alisha had asked "His son is a tool" he continued. Damon was at the other side of the room talking to some work associates while Alisha, Tony and I sat at a table. I continued to look around feeling so out of place.
"Excuse me" I turned towards the voice that appeared in front of me "sorry, I was just across the room and happened to see you and I just had to come over and introduce myself" he reached his hand out to greet me, due to the fact that there are plenty of people around I obliged "my name is William Richards"
"Rachel Jones" I replied as he kissed the back of my hand, I looked over at Alisha who reflected the confused expression that was on my face, Tony stood directly behind her with his hands on her shoulders while he glared at William
"Can I have a dance?" He asked while continuing to hold my hand
"I actually have a date an-" I was cut off by the governor himself walking up behind William
"I told you that you would find a beautiful woman here son" he had one hand on William's back while he looked back and forth between us
son? oh great
"you're right dad, we're just about to dance" he looked at his father before looking back at me "right?"
"She has a date William" Tony spoke up behind me
"Well I don't see him around" William smirked without looking away from me
"He's right here" Damon walked up next to our hands, causing William to let go of my hand finally "look elsewhere William"
"One dance won't hurt will it Mr Powers?" the governor added, obviously a little biased in his request
"I'm afraid it will Mr. Richards, you see-" again the governor interrupted
"I don't think it will, Mr. Powers" he extended out his words when saying Damon's name, at that point I knew that Damon couldn't fight it any longer
This whole thing makes me feel like a piece of meat
"We won't be long" William grabbed my hand again "I'll have her falling for me in no time" he spoke as I walked in front of him
I walked out to the dance floor, trying to stay closest I could to the table that I was just sitting at. I positioned myself to face towards where Damon stood, I could see his hands in fists, knuckles white as snow. If looks could kill, William would be gasping for air right now.
"So tell me" William spun me around so that my back was to Damon
he knows what he's doing
"What is a beautiful girl like you, doing with a guy like him?"
