There was a huge silence around me and everyone stared at me. My head was processing.
"I can't believe it." Hayden mumbled.
I looked at the divorce papers. My father took it in his hands and was about to rip them...
"Don't rip anything!" I pointed at my father. I picked up my clothes and ran to the bathroom to change. I walked out to find confused faces.
My father frowned and froze before ripping the papers.
"We have to talk to Killian!" I informed.
"What?" Giovanni asked.
I picked my stuff up.
"We have to turn Queen on, she's the only one I can think that can scan cameras and data bases."
Everyone's face lit up.
"We need the journal my grandfather and his grandfather wrote about Queen we need to figure out how she works."
I began walking out of the room. I had grabbed Hayden's hand on the way. However, my father stopped me by grabbing my hand.
"After the device disappeared the journal was given to the counsel. In order for you to request them back Killian or a family member of his and you have to go to anyone whose part of the council. "
"Mr. Pierce -"
My father shook his head.
"Lydia and him are back they left for a second honeymoon and his spot was temporarily given to Nathaniel."
I froze. My father shot me knowing eyes.
"Edgar told me he left you with him-"
My father cleared his throat.
"Is he the father?" My father asked.
My father was holding my hand.
I felt my heart quickening it's pace. I looked behind my father to see Oliver and Giovanni. They hadn't heard.
I swallowed. "He is." My father sighed relieved.
"That man has always wanted a baby and when you came into the picture he has always wanted one with you. You have to tell him!" My father whispered.
"I will, just not now. Edward's priority." I whispered.
My father nodded and let my hand go. His face was still white.
"Let's hurry!" Giovanni said with desperation. I could understand him. Giovanni and my brother had been good friends.
Hayden had a bit of shine in his eyes and his hand was tightly holding my hand. My father looked in caos but he seemed to have some weight of his shoulders.

All of us stepped into Killian's company and we went up the elevator. I really couldn't focus on anything than having my brother back.
I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to feel illusions but I couldn't help it. I wanted to hug him tightly and tell him how much I had missed him.
"We need to see Killian Carter!" I informed his secretary.
The lady looked at all of us and when she saw me she looked like she would shrink.
"Of course." She stood up and went into Killian's office.
"Mr. Carter the Monroe family is here." I heard her announcing with a bit of nerves.
I didn't wait for an answer I found myself walking inside. The lady stepped away and before Killian could say anything he stood up in surprise.
"It's okay they can come in!" Killian informed.
I held Hayden's hand and everyone was already inside. Killian looked mystified.
Killian walked around his desk and I was trembling. I had trusted him. He had been my friend and by faking ghost I was doubting he had ever been my friend.
I let go of Hayden's hand and my knuckles tighted. I don't know what happened but soon I had landed a punch directly into Killian's cheek making him stumble back and I was pulled back by Oliver and Killian turned back to look at me in shock and a bleeding lip. I was satisfied with my work but I wanted to do more.
"Hey hey!" Oliver held me. Killian held his cheek.
Surprise was visible on his face.
I held my glare. "I trusted you how could you fake being ghost. I thought you were my friend." Killian's eyes grew wide and he swallowed.
I then felt like crying and realized my change of emotions was due to my pregnancy. "Scarlett -"
"Shut up!" I yelled. Hayden bit his nail and I had to calm down.
Hayden was picked up by my father. We all glared at Killian.
We all took a quick breath.
"Let me explain." I shook my head.
"You can explain it in front of Nathaniel while we request Queen's journal." I said through gritted teeth.
Killian's face turned white.
Killian swallowed.
"Find those guts just like you had guts enough to blame me for something I never did."
I turned away while shaking. I was so angry at everything. Then I remembered Ana and I wanted to kill her. "Let's get going."
Edward was priority.
"Move before I make you!" And for the first time I was surprised to hear Giovanni's aggressive voice.
We all went into the car, Killian was in between Giovanni and Oliver. I could feel him feel uncomfortable.
I was in the back with Hayden and my father. I could only stare holes into Killian's head.
Edgar was driving and our other guards followed in other cars.

The ride was silent and we all stood tensed.
Finally after a while we were all in front of Nathaniel's company I felt a flip in my stomach. I felt a tinge of emotion. I bit my lip.
We all got out and Giovanni was holding onto Killian making sure he wouldn't run of. That was my thought.
Killian found my eyes and he pleaded. Finally we all went into the elevator and made it to the last floor.
My hands felt sweaty.
I saw Nathaniel's secretary and she sighed knowing I always went in without an invitation. Her face shot me a defeated look and in I went everyone followed behind. The door was opened and once I stepped in Nathaniel was on his desk. I was very surprised to see a bucket of ice cream on his hands and he was eating it while reading something.
I stood in front of his desk and he froze for a few seconds before looking up. He looked like he had been caught getting a cookie from a cookie jar.
Nathaniel swallowed the bit of ice-cream he had in his mouth.
"Scarlett!" Nathaniel said surprised. Nathaniel looked behind me and then back to me.
I felt butterflies for some reason but I also felt embarrassed at the last time we saw each other. However, I had to control my words since we had public.
I also felt anxiety, I wanted to find my brother immediately. I had to find out if turning Queen was possibly before doing any kind of deal with Ana.
I also had to tell Nathaniel about the baby. I ended sitting on the chair in front of Nathaniel.
Nathaniel followed my movement with his eyes and Killian was pushed to the chair next to me.
Killian was obviously nervous.
Hayden went to stand next to me. Oliver and Giovanni stood behind Killian making him even more nervous. My father stood behind me.
Nathaniel looked at everyone again looking mystified when he looked at Killian his look said he had probably solved our visit.
"Nice ice-cream." Killian mumbled. Nathaniel unconsciously tighted his hold on the ice-cream it looked like he was protecting it. Hayden chuckled. The scene was funny.
"You're acting like Scarlett!" Hayden informed.
I swallowed. My father tensed.
"You eat ice-cream now?" Nathaniel asked awkwardly.
I looked at his ice-cream I had the urge to eat it.
"Yes, I thought you didn't like it either."
"For some reason I'm craving crazy things." Nathaniel whispered.
Oliver gasped and turned to look at me.
Nathaniel cleared his throat. This moment was awkward. Oliver had probably deduced it, my father knew the truth and Hayden was strangely looking at Nathaniel.
Giovanni didn't know I was pregnant and less Killian. As much as I wanted to talk to Nathaniel I couldn't. Not now. I could tell Nathaniel also had the urge to tell me something.
"So how can I help you?" Nathaniel asked. He tried not looking at Killian he was acting as if he wasn't there.
"We heard you're temporarily in the counsel-" Killian began.
"You want the journal back?" Nathaniel addressed me.
I nodded.
"Killian also has something to say." I added.
Killian swallowed harshly.
Nathaniel's eyes found Killian's and Killian's face turned red.
Nathaniel eyed Killian's swollen cheek.
He looked back to me. "Okay."
Nathaniel stood up and went to a bookshelf and withdrew something. He walked back to his desk and pulled a few papers from a drawer.
I was surprised to see the journal was here. I thought we would have to go to another place. Had Nathaniel been expecting me?
"So what is it you have to say?" Nathaniel asked Killian.
"The journal first!" Killian said in defeat.
Nathaniel frowned. The air felt tense.
"Okay in order to have the journal back you have to sign. Here and here!" Nathaniel pointed out a few lines on the papers.
"The papers lets you know that the device was always in good hands and since it was in good hands the counsel doesn't have a reason to have the journal and that we are giving it back!" Nathaniel informed. I nodded I began reading and what Nathaniel had said had been resumed. I signed and then Killian did.
Nathaniel pushed the journal toward me and my hands shook. I had to find my brother.
I was surprised to find the journal needed a key to open it. I looked up at Nathaniel. "And the key?" I asked with urgency.
"We only received that!" Nathaniel informed. I turned to look at Killian.
Killian stood from the chair and looked at me. "I'm not giving it to you until you tell what you want to do with this journal. You have all the money and intelligence in the world."
I swallowed and remained silent. Nathaniel eyed me with curiosity.
"Scarlett don't let yourself feel greedier and greedier I hoping that's not it but I can only imagine you want to turn Queen before time and it worries me what you will do, once you achieve it." Killian whispered and I saw real worry.
I knew Killian was just doing his job I would have done the same but I couldn't stop the anger.
" Scarlett? "Nathaniel asked.
" I do want to find how to turn her on before time. "I whispered. Nathaniel tensed.
Killian bit his lip.
" Why? "
" After you pretended to be ghost I'm not sure how much I can trust you to tell you anything. "I whispered.
What if he told Ana?
Nathaniel's face slowly turned into shock. Killian swallowed and turned to look at Nathaniel. Nathaniel stood up instantly.
" You pretended to be who? "Nathaniel asked through gritted teeth.
Nathaniel turned to look at me asking for an explanation.
" Apparently he wanted us to break up-"
" I wanted a chance with Scarlett. I wanted revenge for what I thought you did with Kayla. "Killian whispered.
Ouch. Nathaniel was looking angrier by the second. In a blink of an eye Nathaniel had crossed his desk over to Killian. Giovanni had to interfere to hold them back, Nathaniel still tried to go for it but Oliver also stood in between.
" There's no need to start a fight Nathaniel you can send him to jail." Killian's face went white.
"I think I'll love that, you can join Ana." I added.
"No-" Killian pleaded.
"No?" Nathaniel asked in humor.
"You don't know what you did!" Nathaniel hissed.
Nathaniel grabbed his hair in frustration.
Killian's face went red and he looked at the floor. "I can only beg one day for forgiveness. I realized what I'd done after-"
"After I was drowning? After you forced me to marry you?" I asked with a chuckle.
Nathaniel's look turned white and so did my father's.
"Scarlett I'm sorry -"
I shook my head. "I can't believe I felt gratitude towards you to think it was all a lie."
"I did fall in love with you -" Killian was interrupted.
"What kind of love was that?" My father hissed.
"Scarlett please listen."
I had an urgency to find my brother not this. I stood up.
"I might someday forgive you Killian but you and I will never be friends. I can't even consider you an acquaintance."
Killian made a hurting face. "You can't just forget please let me explain."
"I can promise you one day I won't even know your name but now I need that key." I ordered and I placed my hand indicating that I needed that key. Killian shot me pleading eyes.
"The key or I'll convince Nathaniel to send you to jail."
Killian gasped and my look told him I was not playing. Killian took his time and I gritted my teeth.
"Don't you want to see your daughter grow?"
"Who are you?" Killian asked in horror.
I turned to look at Nathaniel and he seemed angry and surprised as well. His look told me we had much more to talk about. Nathaniel pulled his phone out.
"Hey Allan -"
"Stop! I'll give her the key!" Killian begged. He began taking off a necklace around his neck and soon a key was being placed on my hand.
Nathaniel shut the phone. "Now leave." Killian looked around at everyone in shame. However, that look deepened when he looked at me. "Scarlett be careful with what you do-"
"My actions won't hurt anyone. I can promise you that. I'm not like you."
Killian swallowed and his eyes watered.
Giovanni pushed Killian out and Oliver followed. I clutched the key and looked at the journal.
I instantly opened the journal and I was amazed to find drawings, pictures and neat writing.
I felt everyone tense even more around me.
Nathaniel looked confused. "Scarlett why do you want to turn Queen on?" He whispered. I scanned all the journal and I sat down. I ignored him I had an urgency. I felt like the journal would disappear.
"The electricity we have currently is to weak for the device's power. I have a theory that if we achieve a more efficient and durable flow of light and electricity there won't be a power shut down and the use of technology won't slow down and the device won't be violating it's rules."

Those rules were about human kind preservation. The only reason Queen was turned on every five years was because during those five years she was letting the flow of energy regain from her last use.
" In order to turn her on we have to replace every use of light and electricity flow." I whispered. I turned to look at Nathaniel.
I wasn't sure exactly how Queen worked but if a new energy was what it needed I had to do this.
" Nathaniel how many people have changed to P. K imperium? " I asked in a whisper. We all turned to look at Nathaniel.
Nathaniel swallowed.
"Scarlett why do you want Queen for?" He asked and his lips turned dry.
I licked my lips. "My brother -"
I felt on the verge of tears again.
Nathaniel looked taken of guard. Giovanni placed the tape recorder on Nathaniel's desk and Nathaniel looked at everyone once again before pushing play.
We all froze and as if we were hearing this for the first time we felt the horror of Ana's words. I had to find my brother.
Nathaniel could not take his eyes of me and with every word Ana said he was trembling and his face and neck were red.
Once Ana finished about my brother Nathaniel turned to look at the journal.
We all felt rage and anger.
"We have to find your brother!" Nathaniel whispered. I blinked tears away.
Nathaniel began moving quickly around his office and pulling papers and documents. We began reading the journal together and Oliver and my father helped out by doing math.
Nathaniel began asking for other stuff around his desk and we were helping out.
After we saw him do a few calculations he looked up at me.
"The power has been approved and used in almost half of the world. I haven't heard bad comments. A few people are happier that it's cheaper but based on the journal we have to have all the world replace it."
I swallowed. While I had been down Nathaniel had been working on the project for the both of us.
I nodded." Listen Scarlett I don't doubt this about changing all the light can work to turn on Queen but to finish changing it around the world can take a few months."
I grabbed my hair in frustration and I saw desperation on others. My father began walking back and forth. Giovanni was rubbing his face. Oliver reviewed the journal. Hayden sat on the chair looking thoughtful. Nathaniel was doing math and looking frustrated as well.
"They have to pay, right?" Hayden asked in a soft voice.
I turned to look at him. "Yes!" I whispered.
Hayden bit his lip. "What if you provided it for free like a three months trail." Nathaniel and I looked at each other.
"Everyone likes free stuff." Oliver agreed.
I began doing my own math, remembering all the documents Nathaniel had, that I had reviewed.
People didn't replace their energy since that also had to do with changing their cables but if it was free then-
"A month." Both Nathaniel and I said at the same time.
I looked around. I swallowed. I wanted my brother now. I felt hurt inside my chest and I squeezed my eyes to stop tears.
Nathaniel pulled me into his arms and he hugged me. I still had to tell him about the baby.
I just couldn't, not now. My belly still wasn't showing and I was thankful for now. With all of this happening I hadn't had a chance to reflect that I was close to becoming a mother that Nathaniel had a right to know. I was scared. For my brother and for me.
I felt safe in Nathaniel's arms.
"We have a month of huge work." Nathaniel whispered.
"I'm going to always be there for you Scarlett."
"After we find your brother we'll clear our own mess, okay?" Nathaniel whispered.
I nodded and I knew Nathaniel had become a man of word. I would feel guilty while I found the guts to tell him I was pregnant and it had to be soon, time went fast and in no time I'd be having the baby. Time was ending for me.
