Chapter 17: A bed, a guy, and a whip cream

🍪Ellie's P.O.V

I was woken up by the feeling of wanting to puke and my head pounding furiously as if saying to get my ass up and walk to the bathroom.

My body followed suit before I could comprehend. One minute I was sleeping on the floor and the next I was bending unto the toilet and vomiting everything even my feelings for Alec.

Haha, I wish.

A few seconds before I felt someone taking a hold of my hair and tying it into a ponytail. I gently pushed the person away because even I was feeling disgusting by it.

"Get—bloo—away—bloo—from me," I let out, pausing in between to vomit.

"You fucking idiot! Why would drink tequila on your first time?" My mom's frustrated voice rang in my ears.

"Mom?" I asked, squinting my eyes to see if it was indeed her.

My mom indeed stood next to me with a glare on her face. She wore her silky pajamas and had her hair in a messy bun.

"How did I get here?" I groaned out, flushing my vomit before closing the toilet lid.

"You reek of alcohol darling. Give your mother some respect and take a fricking shower. I'll be waiting downstairs," She grumbled, walking out of the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

I touched my head, a grimace forming on my lips. I tried to remember what happened last night but it was blank.

Blank as a white coupon bond.

I forced myself to stand up, stumbling lightly on my own feet and accidentally stubbing my toe on the wall. I let out a curse and took a hold of my toe to massage it lightly.

I did a small stretch before stripping out of my the oversized shirt that I now wore and hopped into the shower stall.

Mom must've changed me last night knowing I'd be uncomfortable sleeping in jeans. Ugh, I love my fricking mom.

I took a deep breath, glancing at the shower head before twisting the shower knob quickly and taking a step back away.

I tried not to let out a squeak but failed when the cold water missed me by an inch.

This time, I took longer than my usual ten-minute showers. It was spent with me trying to remember what the fuck happened after seeing the duo and of course, rubbing every inch of my body to ensure I'm 100% alcohol scent free.

I walked out of the bathroom feeling quite sluggish but the cold shower made the pounding on my head lower a notch.

I paused in my tracks at the sight of a sleeping half-naked Todd on my bed. I turned my stare at the floor where a small blanket and pillows were set up.

Wait, so the cold feeling that I felt on my back was because I was sleeping on the floor?

My eyes widened and I let out a horrified gasp. I hastily made my way towards my drawers and took some undergarments before taking a random clothes on my closet.

I headed straight to my bathroom before changing into those quickly. With the towel still wrapped on my head, I walked out of the bathroom and went straight to Todd.

"What the actual baboon are you doing in my room Todd? Shit. Why are you sleeping in my bed? and why was I sleeping on the floor?" I demanded, pulling at his arm.

He let out a groaned, his feet dangling from my bed. A few pillows were on the floor from his position and my blanket was wrapped around his mid section.

"Let me fucking sleep blue," He grumbled, his deep morning voice completely startling me.

"Since I can correlate to the pounding in your head, fine. Get as much sleep as you can. I have to stop the war that is brewing downstairs." I sighed, taking my pillows from the floor before placing it all on top of his body.

I walked out of my room and made my way downstairs. I threw a weary glance at the kitchen foyer and hesitated.

That hesitation was thrown out of the window when the monster within me was awakened by the delicious scent of pancakes and bacon.

I peeked my head in to see my mom already sitting on one of the dining chair. She was beside Theodore who was munching happily on his maple covered pancake.

"Goowd mowning Ewwi!" Theodore greeted, his face beaming at the sight of me.

"Good morning buddy," I greeted back, offering him a small smile.

My mom turned to look at me, her face completely blank. I couldn't help but gulp, feeling nervous at her expression.

"Mom, I'm sorry. I know I should've asked you properly and yes, I know you're ma—"

"You should be sorry! You haven't even told me you were going to your first party. I would've brief you on those you should and shouldn't do." She huffed, taking a piece of bacon and stuffing it in her mouth.

"What? You're mad because of that?" I incredulously ask, taking the opposite seat from Theodore.

She rolled her green eyes,"Well duh, I'm mad at you for going through the window and not on the door like a normal sane person would AND you shouldn't drank hard like that. It's your first time drinking. What if someone took advantage of you? What would you do then?" She scolded lightly.

"I'm sorry mom. I promise it won't happen again." I apologized, looking down in embarrassment.

She sighed,"I'm not saying that you shouldn't drink Ellie. You're an adult now and you have the right to make your own decisions but I want you to be responsible in this kind of stuff because anything could happen." Mom explained, turning to look at Theo and fixing his shirt.

I nodded quietly, taking the plate that was filled with food from her. A few moments of silence resonated in the kitchen before I looked up to her.

"So, how did I get home? Why is Todd sleeping on my bed? Why was I sleeping on the floor?" I asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.

Something flash in my mom's expression before she smiled, clearly expecting the questions out of me.

"You don't remember? Both of you booked a drive home here. Good thing the driver was kind enough to ring on our doorbell to let you guys in," She said, pushing a strand of hair away from her face.

A frown graced my features, trying to remember the details but let out sigh when the pounding on my head only grew stronger.

"As for the sleeping arrangements, well since you didn't tell me that you were going to a party then I guess its fair that you get to sleep on the floor and our guest on your bed." She answered simply, shrugging her shoulders.

I was about to protest when I saw my mom raise an eyebrow at me. I slumped in my seat, taking a bite of my pancake instead.

"Does dad know?" I asked, adding more maple syrup on it. You can never have too much syrup with pancakes.

She snorted,"Of course he does, who'd you think carried Todd? He wasn't mad but rather worried that you were both gonna have alcohol poisoning from the way you were both out so it." Mom answered.

"Let me guess, he wanted to bring us to the hospital?" I deadpanned, amusement lacing through me.

"You guessed right," Mom laughed, nodding her head.

The rest of the breakfast was filled with small chatter and teasing Theodore. Mom made me drink some orange juice to cure my hang over and drink some medicine.

It was half past ten when we finished eating and I was feeling much better than earlier. Theodore and I were on the living room, sitting on the floor and playing with his superhero toys.

"Ewwie, that's not wight! Youw supposed to say goodbye befowe fwying," Theodore corrected, taking a hold of the superman toy from me and waving bye at the batman one in his other hand.

"I'm sorry buddy," I apologized, taking the toy once more from me.

"Would you like to play tea party instead?" He asked, his green doe eyes staring at me.

"If that's what you want buddy but we don't have any tea cup set for it," I pointed out, pushing a strand of his hair away from his eyes.

Theodore pouted, standing up from his position and moving to my lap and hugging me suddenly. I leaned back slightly, my hand taking a hold of his waist.

"Hey, don't be sad buddy. We could make mom buy some," I assured, rubbing his back gently.

"I don't want to make you sad anymore," Theodore mumbled, nestling his face on the crook of my neck.

"What do you mean buddy?" I frowned, my brows furrowing.

"Pwaying tea cup pawties make giwls happy wight? So if we pway it then you won't be sad anymowe," Theodore mumbled, pulling back with his eyes cast down.

At his words, I felt surprised. I didn't know that Theodore could be this observant at his age, it made my heart feel warm to have someone try to cheer me up.

"I am happy buddy, playing with you makes me happy. Don't worry about me okay? Ellie's a big girl." I said, pulling him in for a hug.

"Owkay but if youw sad, we can totawy pway tea cup pawty owkay Ewwie? Just tell me." He nodded, wrapping his chubby arms around my neck.

"Roger that," I smiled, hugging him tighter.

We continued playing for a while until Mom interrupted us because it was Theo's bath time. While they were upstairs, I couldn't help but think of plan on how to wake Todd up.

I went to the kitchen and let out an evil donkey like laugh when I saw the can of whipped cream waving at me at the far corner where my jar of happiness was.

I took a hold of it before hiding it behind my back. I went upstairs and opened my door slowly, biting back a grin at Todd's perfect position.

He was sleeping on his back, one if his arm was behind his head while the other hanged limply at the edge of the bed.

Okay Ellie, time to put your plan into action.

I made my way towards him, making sure that I wasn't making a sound. I kneeled at where his hand was before spraying the whipped cream on.

I held back a giggle, biting my lip to stop it from escaping my mouth. I leaned in slightly, the pad of my finger gently brushing on the tip of his nose.

A few seconds passed before his nose twitched, I placed my hand on my mouth to muffle my laugh before doing it again.

This time, he couldn't resist anymore and brought his hand that had whipped cream on and rubbed his nose.

A few seconds before his stormy grey eyes opened. Todd let out a curse and groaned, rubbing his hand once more on his face before pulling back in surprise.

"What the fuck?" He groggily said, staring at his hand that had remains of whipped cream.

At the sight of his confused face covered with whipped cream, I couldn't help but burst into heaps of laughter.

HAHAHA. hahahaha. Ha ha ha ha.

At the sound of my laughter, he turned to looked at me, his eyes grew dangerously dark at the sight of the can in my hand.

Before I knew it, he stood up from the bed and had an arm wrap around my waist as he wiped the remains of the whipped cream from his hand to my face.

I let out a squeal of laughter, shaking my head to try and avoid it but he was much stronger and took the can from my grasp and started putting some on my hair.

"Stop Todd hahahahaha my hair! Hahahaha wait stop hahahaha," I laughed, taking some of the whip cream on my hair and placing it where my hand could reach.

He was laughing along and trying to avoid my hands. This lasted for a few minutes before I told him to stop because I was getting lightheaded from all the laughing.

"You think you could prank me and get away with it blue?" Todd mocked, a smug smirk gracing his features.

"It was still a success though," I shot back, trying to catch my breath and still giggling.

He grinned,"What happened last night? Everything's blank." Todd asked, massaging his temples.

"I don't even remember anything. Mom told me we took a cab home." I shrugged, glancing at my now messy bed sheets.

Todd glanced at his phone that was on my nightstand before he paused and glanced at me for a second.

"Oh did we? Well, can I take a shower first? I have to apologize to your mom." He said, pushing his hair back.

"Go ahead, I'll tell mom to get you some clean clothes from my dad. There's a clean towel on the small cabinets." I nodded, before walking out of the room.

I decided to take a shower first in Theodore's room and changed into some comfy sweats and a loose crop top.

By the time I was back in my room, Todd wasn't in the room and my bed sheets were changed.

I went downstairs and made my way towards the kitchen, passing by Theodore who was sitting on the couch and watching reruns of Phineas and Ferb.

Todd and my mom were talking in hushed voices when I entered. Mom saw me first before a wide smile graced her features, cutting off what Todd was about to say.

"Honey, your Nana Charlotte called and wanted you to visit her within this week and do some chores for her." She said, glancing at Todd.

I nodded, eyeing them both weirdly. Todd straightened his posture before clearing his throat and turning to me.

"Blue, I better get going now. My mom's gonna kick my ass for not answering my phone and going home." He said, bringing his hand up to show me his ringing phone.

"Yikes, you've got a lot of explaining to do." I grimaced.

That's the reason why asking permission is very important, we might get luck if we don't get caught but most of the time luck isn't on our side and we don't know what can happen.

He gave my mom a smile and a hug before letting me walk him to the front door. I don't know why but I couldn't help but notice how tense he was ever since he checked his phone.

Is his mom that angry?

"Make sure to drink lots of water Todd. We wouldn't want you to get sick." I reminded him, giving him a smile and opening the door.

"I will blue, get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow in school." He gave me a half-smile before pulling me in for a short hug.

"Fuck! It's a school day!"
