"Aye Christian, wassup witcho sister?" My homeboy and teammate, Carlos, asked as we sat in his yard passing the blunt. As soon as we got back from the beach I had to get outta that damn house already. Akira was blowing my ass and my pops kept defending her like she a lil angel or some shit
"The fuck you mean wassup with her?" I asked aggressively. No matter how much the dumbass gets on my nerves, ion play when it come to my baby sister.
"You better stop playin Carlos. Before Christian getcho ass" Junior chuckled and a car pulled up. It looked seemed like a pretty up to date car and I'm pretty sure a paper tag was slapped on the back of it how clean and new it looked so I'm guessing somebody got some money
"Look at this nigga. Don't know how to act now that he got his own shit" junior joked as Tremaine got out of the car with his hands in his pockets of his sweats. As he came over he gave something to Carlos then dapped everybody up
"Nigga when you get a car?" I asked once he got to me
"My grandma got it for me. Early birthday present"
I looked over at it then back at him "shit nice... but why she ain wait till Friday. Ain yo birthday the 3rd"
"Yeah but she gotta leave this week for some shit with her church"
"Oh shit. Party at yo place Friday?"
Tremaine chuckled and shook his head "Nah. I think ima just chill for my birthday"
"That nigga lyin" Carlos said while he took the blunt from me "he bout to be with that girl.. Africa, Sahar-"
"Egypt" Tremaine was quick to correct so I laughed
"Damn nigga. You must be really fuckin with Egypt"
"Told you that his bitch" Carlos slapped my arm repeatedly so I looked at him some type of way
"Chill with that bitch word" I then looked at Tremaine again "you know ion play bout that one either"
"I ain even gone lie to you.. that girl fine as hell too. If she try some different with her hair instead of the braids all the time and start dressing better. I'd fuck with that thang"
All I could do was look over at Tremaine and laugh a little because he obviously ain like how Carlos was talking about Egypt so I knew if I told him I was fucking on that girl he'll probably have a heart attack.
"She good how she is" Tremaine told him but I continued to stare at Tremaine. Ion know how far he think he'll get with Egypt but ion know if I'm ready to let that one go yet for some reason. Egypt's a dope ass girl and like Carlos said, she ain ugly.
"Just be careful fuckin with that one bro.. Forreal" I warned him with a straight face and he nodded
"I got babygirl.. we straight.... Ight I'm bout to head home. I'll catch y'all tomorrow"
"Ight lil nigga"
Tremaine dapped everybody up again before heading back to his car and I watched him before turning back around to see Carlos and Junior laughing
"What?"
"You was on that nigga balls bout lil Egypt" junior chuckled as he took a hit from the blunt. Carlos started twisting one of the dry ass twists that sat at the top of his head
"I'm surprised christian hoe ass ain fuck that girl"
"Probably did.."
They both looked at me and I kissed my teeth " why y'all worried bout my dick. Gay ass niggas"
"You ain deny it though"
"Like how yo daddy denied you" I asked Carlos
"Yall keep listening to my sister stupid ass. My daddy ain deny shit"
"Keep telling yourself that"
Junior cracked up making Carlos shake his head
"Fuck y'all. How bout that. That's why ima tell yo sister you fuckin her friend"
"You ain got no proof" I shrugged
"You gone either slip up or let it slip out one day"
"Ion slip up" I boasted as I took the blunt from junior

"I pray this bus ain came yet" I muttered as I sped walked down the road from my house to make it to the bus stop. I woke up late this morning and I know for a fact that momma would kill me if I missed the bus. As I approached Tremaine's house I saw a new car sitting in their driveway and Tremaine walked out of the house with his phone in his hand. When he saw me he smiled
"I was tryina call yo ass all morning"
I stopped walking as he approached me "my bad. My phone been on do not disturb since I got home yesterday"
Mentioning my phone I tapped my pockets and realized that my phone was missing meaning I left it at home
"Shit"
"What?"
"I left my phone and I know we already probably missed the bus"
"Nah.. I'm driving to school. That's why I was calling you all morning"
I pointed over at the car "that's yours?"
He nodded "it's a early birthday gift from my grandma"
"Aweee. She's so sweet to you"
"Always... come on"
I followed him over to his car and got into the passenger seat, sitting my bookbag in the backseat where his already was.
"You wanna stop by yo house so you can getcha phone?"
"No. I'll be good"
"You cool with going 8 hours without a phone?"
"Ion really talk to nobody anyways except you and Akira"
"Why not?"
"I just don't think I like people"
Tremaine couldn't help but laugh as he continued driving.
"If you don't mind me asking, what you plan on doing for your birthday?"
He shrugged "I'm just chillin. My grandma left for a week long trip this morning so I'll be home alone and wait around till my momma call"
"How's she doing?"
"She straight. She told me they was thinkin bout shortening her sentence for good behavior"
I looked over at him seeing a smile creep up on his face as he mentioned it. Watching him smile I couldn't help but smile which caused him to look at me
"What?"
"Nothing" I shook my head and looked out of the window. It was kind of cold and I was in a rush this morning so I forgot my jacket which I instantly realized as well making me curse out loud
"You straight?"
"Yeah. I just realized I forgot my jacket"
He laughed a little and took his hand off of the wheel to take his hoodie off and he gave it to me
"Awe look at you being sweet. You didn't have to give me your hoodie. I would've been good"
"Nah I'm straight. You go ahead"
I put Tremaine's hoodie on and fixed my braids. Even though the hoodie was warm, the main thing I could think about was how good it smelled.
"Thank you"
"No problem babygirl"

"Egypt!" Akira called my name causing me to snap out of my thoughts. We were in our history class working on a partner project but I was too busy zoning out while Akira talked about pretty much nothing
"Huh?"
"You straight? You been zoning out all day"
"Yeah I'm straight. I'm just thinking"
"About what cause bitch I'm usually the one y'all have to tell to zone back in... Tremaine got you thinking real hard"
"Who says I'm thinking about him?"
"I know you are. Plus you keep sniffing that hoodie every 10 seconds"
I looked down at the hoodie and laughed "well shit. It smells good"
"Did he say if he was doing anything for his birthday Friday. I could go for a good party"
"He says he just wants to chill"
Akira frowned and Ms Tomlinson, the teacher, walked over to us with her arms crossed
"How's the project coming along? Or are y'all just over here gossiping?"
"Gossiping" Akira bluntly answered so I kicked her under the table. Surprised at her honesty, all Ms Tomlinson could do was shake her head and walk off
"Make sure that project is as good as that conversation"
Akira rolled her eyes and looked at me again
"Can we start this project cause I can't afford a zero"
"Sure. But we gone get back on you and Tremaine later"
3:10pm
"Don't forget. The essay should be exactly two pages and I want it turned in as soon as you walk through that door tomorrow" Mrs Johnson demanded as the entire class packed up to go home. I shoved my things into my bookbag hearing essence on the other side of the classroom mentioning my name followed by Tremaine's
"He is too fine for that ugly ass lil girl"
Her friend started laughing meanwhile I just ignored it, threw my bookbag on and started to head out but Christian grabbed me by the bag and pulled me back
"Why you in a rush to leave?"
"I gotta meet my ride"
"Who? Tremaine?" He asked with a chuckle, looking at the hoodie "remember what I told you now"
I just shook my head and left the classroom. As I walked out my eyes immediately spotted Tremaine standing not too far away while some girl talked all in his face. I guess he looked over and saw me so he said something to the girl before walking off
"You ready?"
"Yeah"
"Tremaine" Christian called his name while he walked up from behind me with a slight smirk in his face while he eyed me "remember what I told you"
He then walked off and I looked at Tremaine "what was that about?"
Tremaine shook his head "Nothin. Come on"
He reached out and grabbed my hand while he started to walk off and I followed behind him
