Author’s POV
Jimin woke up early morning to prepare some food for Seok. She already informed the guard too abut Jimin. She didn’t inform her son about Jimin’s appearance because she wanted to see his expression when he saw him for the first time after he heard the truth.
“Seok… after you eat your breakfast, go take a shower.”
“Ne eomma.” The young boy replied.
Honestly, Jeongyeon is a bit nervous about this. Allowing Jimin to meet her son is also allowing him to enter her world too. But she has no choice, Jeong Seok and Jimin made their own way to discover their own connection.
Jimin is set to arrive at 10 am in Joengyeon’s house so Jeongyeon decided to go back to her room and prepare herself for his arrival. She wears a jeans and a loose shirt.
When she’s done, she started her usual duty as a mother. She help Jeong Seok enhance his reading skills. After a minute, Jeong Seok’s nanny came to interrupt them just to inform that Jimin has arrived.
Jeongyeon nod her head giving her the sign to allow him to enter and took a deep breath. She stopped what they are doing and informed Seok about their visitor.
“Seok… let’s finish this later, ok?”
“Why eomma?”
“We have a visitor for today and he has arrived. I want you to behave and act normal ok?”
“Ne eomma… I will go back to my room to hide.”
“No Seok-yah… you don’t have to hide… our visitor knows about you.” she smiled.
Jeong Seok didn’t reply, instead he just stares at his mother. After a couple of seconds, a voice coming from behind broke their silence.
“Anyeonhasseyo… Joeongyeon… Jeong Seok.”
Jeongyeon was facing her back to Jimin and she is bloking Jeong Seok’s view so the kid tilt his head from th side to see who is it. Jeongyeon also turn around and stood up when she saw Jimin standing behind him.
“Thanks, you lift the ban…” he said.
“Eomma… what is he doing here?” Jeong Seok asked his mother.
Jeongyeon looks at her son and smiled. “Uhm… Seok… he is the visitor I am talking about. You said you wanted to see him right? So here he is.”
“Hi Seok… we meet again.” Jimin went closer to him and squat labeling himself to the man.
Jeongyeon remembered what Seok told her last time. So she is waiting what would be his reaction and what he is going to do now that Jimin is in front of him. But Seok did not answer him, instead he gave him a blank face and went close to him and give him a hug.
Jeongyeon was a bit surprised. Though she is already expecting this to happen, she never though that Jeong Seok will forget what he promised to her that he will scold his father for hurting her.

Jimin hugged him back and lift him up. Suddenly, Jeong Seok cried while burying his face on his neck. Jimin’s eyes widen but tears are also forming on his eyes. He couldn’t help but to cry feeling the warm embrace coming from his son.
“Appa…” Jeong Seok whispered that caused him to cry out more.
Jeongyeon is just watching them but she also couldn’t help but to cry seeing them both cry. She tried to hide her tears but it won’t stop from falling. She can feel the joy in Seok’s heart, and she know that she made the right choice.
“I knew it Seok… I knew it… you are my son.” Jimin said while he slowly put him down. “Feelings can’t be wrong.”
“He already knows the truth.”Jeongyeon said from behind.
Jimin caress his cheeks while wiping his tears away with his thumbs. “Don’t cry Seok-yah… aren’t you happy that appa is already here? Isn’t it amazing that we already met before?”
“I once wish for my birthday to finally meet you and now it happened already. Eomma promised me to give me my wish and she did.” He said in his cries.
“I’m sorry that it took me long time to know about you… I’m so sorry Seok-yah.”
Jeongyeon is about to turn around to live the two alone to have some privacy when Jeong Seok said an unexpected question. “Why did you do that appa? Why did you hurt eomma before?”
“Seok-yah…” Jeongyeon lowly said.
“When eomma told me about how you hurt her before, I was mad about you. I didn’t know if I will still want to see you or not.” Jimin felt a pain on his heart from Jeong Seok’s words but he remained silent and let his son speak.
“When I met you at the park, I once wished that you are my father because you are so kind. And when eomma told me that you are the person who broke her heart years ago, I don’t know if I would still be happy to know that you are my father.”
“Seok-yah… what me and your mother had before is already part of the past. I already apologized to her many times.”
“But it is the reason why she kept me away from you.”
“I’m sorry Seok…”
Jimin is about to hold him tight when Jeong Seok suddenly walks out and went to the kitchen. Jimin and Jeongyeon look at each other, speechless. Jimin is about to follow him when Jeongyeon stopped him.
“Just stay here… I will follow him.” she said and went to the kitchen to follow Seok.
Jimin remained silent and stay on his place while waiting for them to be back. Jeongyeon barely reached the area when she saw Jeong Seok walking back holding a broom.
Jeongyeon’s eyes widen. “Seok-yah….” Is all she can say.
The kid is walking so fast holding the broom looking like he is ready to hit someone anytime. She followed him back to the living area only to saw Jeong Seok hitting his father with broom.
“Yah! How dare you hurt eomma? Huh? Why did you do that?” he said while hitting him.
“Seok…” Jimin is trying to protect himself from Jeong Seok “Stop it… Seok-yah…”
“If you didn’t hurt her, she would not leave you. I promised to scold you and this is what I am doing now.”
Jeongyeon just holding her laugh from the funny scene that she is seeing with her two eyes right now. Jeong Seok is really a man of his words. He did really scold his father and seeing Jimin getting away from him is one of the funny things she saw her entire life.
“Don’t you ever do that again, you ahjussi.” He said and stop him from hitting using the broom.
“I promise… I promise… I won’t hurt her anymore.” He said and look at Jeongyeon.
“Seok… that’s enough…” she said holding her laugh.
Jeong Seok throw the broom from aside and run towards Jimin and embrace his waist. “I’m so happy to see you again… appa…”
“Me too.” He smiled and brush the boy’s head with his hands then look at Jeongyeon who is also looking at him. “Thank you.” He mouthed her a word and she nods her head.
Jimin brought a food for so Jeongyeon left the two to catch up. She went back inside her room and there she is thinking about things that are possible to happen.
Now that Jimin is totally back into her life, she is thinking about how to deal with him being around without letting her guard down once again. Actually, she just let the two met, but the thing about her is different.
When they talks about Jeong Seok, she can let him be around and be friends with Jimin but if they will talk about personal relationship, Jeong Seok has nothing to do with it.
He can be with Jimin whenever he wants but do not expect that Jeongyeon will also be around wanting to see him. She just let them meet, that’s all. Nothing to expect more than meeting his son and Jeong Seok meeting his father.
Jeong Seok and Jimin spent the entire afternoon together, catching up and playing around. It’s a beautiful picture at the sight of Jeongyeon seeing her son smile and she couldn’t help but smile too.
When the sun comes down, Jeong Seok fall asleep so Jimin brought him to his room. Jeongyeon is just looking at him do what he wanted to do to Seok, but never bother to talk any words to Jimin.
She head first to the kitchen to prepare some coffee and when everything is already settled, Jimin turned off the light and walks out of the room to follow her. When he is out he saw her sitting in the kitchen drinking her coffee.
“Take a glass of coffee first before you leave.” She said and Jimin also sat in front of her.
“Jeong… Thanks for today.”
She then stood up and went to the pool at the back of her house. “There is a peaceful sight at the back of this house. Jeong Seok loves to spend time there.” Jimin immediately followed her.
“Seok is such a playful kid. He is very understanding and conscious of his environment. Thanks for raising him so well.” he said standing beside her looking at the reflection of the moon in the pool.
“When I discovered that I am pregnant with Seok, I tried to kill myself at first.” She confessed. Jimin looks at her with a very surprising look. “I was in the midst of my depression because of you Jim and I couldn’t think well that time.”
“I’m sorry…” he softly said.
“But when PDnim helped me to get rid of my depression, I realized, Seok has nothing to do with my hatred towards you. Keeping him is the biggest threat yet the most challenging thing is made in life. The thing I never regretted, not even once.”
“I have to keep him because he is my son, my blood. I need to keep his identity a secret because I am afraid of the criticisms that people may throw against him. I need to protect him away from you because you might hurt him the way you did to me before.” She continues.
Jimin couldn’t speak any words. The sadness and regrets consuming him at this moment. Jeongyeon is not crying but every words that came from her mouth has full of emotions. Pain that she felt those days.
“There are times that I wanted to quit for real and just live with Seok away from here. Every time my anxiety attacks me, Seok is the one who can calm me down. Isn’t he amazing?” she smile and take a sip of her coffee.
“I can see that too… Seok has an energy that amazes me. I never thought that I had a son like Seok. If I only knew-”
“You already did Jim. You already hurt me.” she cut him off. “I wanted to tell you that day but I am consumed with my anger to you to the point that I didn’t know myself anymore. And keeping Seok is the best revenge that I could give to you.”
“I’m really sorry Jeong. I’m really sorry for everything. Believe me or not, since the day I lost you again, there is no time that I didn’t blame myself. Every night I have nightmares that is why I wanted to talk to you so badly. To apologize and ask for your forgiveness.”
“To ease the guilt within you?” she smiled bitterly and shook her head.
Jimin nod and bow his head slowly. “It’s the only way for me to continue to live.”
Jeongyeon sigh and put her glass on the table beside her. “Now that you already know the truth, I just wanted to make things clear to you Jim.” She then turn her body towards him to face him.
“Your role as Jeong Seok’s father has nothing to do with me anymore. You… You and me will just be Jeong Seok’s parents. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“Jeong…”
“Jimin… 5 years have pass but I already forgive you if that’s what you wanted to hear from me. But… but I couldn’t allow you to enter my own world anymore. It’s different when it comes to me.”
“But how about Seok? I want to be with him. I want to spend time with him.”
“You can do what you want as long as you can protect him from the eyes of the people. Don’t give the people around you some reasons to discover the truth until the day that I will be the one to announce it.” she then look back in front.
Jimin is still looking at her but continues to listen from all the things she is saying. “You can spend all the time that you need with Seok, but that excludes me.”
A sudden pain hit his heart. He is right, Jeongyeon just allowed him to be in Seok’s life but not to hers anymore. “But I want you too.” He blurted out.
Jeongyeon’s eyes widen and her heart suddenly beats faster. “I want you back.” He added.
“No you cannot.” She look at his eyes. “Just be contented to be around with Seok and do not desire for me anymore.” she bravely said.
Jimin bows his head once again and nod his head controlling his emotions. He knows it’s too early for him to ask that but he is trying for the sake of his heart.
“I’m sorry… I understand why you couldn’t allow that to happen. But I am still thankful that you let me to be with Jeong Seok. I think… I think that’s enough for now.”
Jeongyeon nod her head too and started to walk back inside their house. “I think I need to go now.” he said. “When can I see him again?”
“Anytime you want.”
“Jinjja? That’s awesome… so I can have him tomorrow?”
“Sure… I’ll just ask his nanny to bring him to you. And also… if anyone will wonder about Seok, just make an excuse. I still didn’t figure out what to do.”
“Sure…”
When they reached the door, Jimin bow his head and smile starting to leave. “And Jim…” she added and Jimin turn back his head. “Please don’t hurt Jeong Seok’s feelings. Not even once.”
“I won’t… I promise…”
“Don’t give your promise… just do it.”
“Arasso… I won’t hurt him.” Jeongyeon nod her head as a response and slowly close the door calling it as a day.
When Jeongyeon heard his car leave, she went to sit on the couch. It is just the start of everything, of the messy world with Jimin. But she needs to endure it just for the sake of her son.
As long as Jimin will just do his best to protect Jeong Seok, nothing is going to be a problem. Now, she needs to make sure that even if Jimin is back in their life, she was ready to protect her heart.
Unlike before, she cannot let her guard down anymore. What happened for today is enough, nothing could go beyond that anymore. The only important thing for her now is to see her son happy and contented in life.
As what has been promised, Jeongyeon let them spend time with each other. Jimin picked him up and went to the park together. Jeongyeon on the other side went to JYP building to have a word with JYP.
She still has no offers line up with her at this happened for the first time ever. Well, she is still thankful since she really desires to have a clear schedule just even for once.
“Are you sure about your plan?” JYP asked her.
Jeongyeon nod her head. “Jimin already know about him. The thing I failed to do recently.”
“But you are already keeping him for years.”
“Yeah… but we can’t fathom what’ future PDnim that is why I am asking for your approval. My birthday is still 3 months from now.”
“Your right… you’ve been doing your best to keep him and maybe now is the time for you to reveal him.”
“On my birthday… I know people will understand me.”
“But what if they will ask about the reason for keeping him?”
“Then I will tell them the truth… I have to reason to hide it anymore.”
“It’s up to you Jeongyeon… you already faced many challenges in life. You are a strong woma and I know you can get through this too.”
When she came home, it’s dark and Jeong Seok is already at home. Jimin is still there but it is ok with her because she is expecting it already since she allowed him to be with his son.
When Jimin is about to leave the house, Jeong Seok bid his goodbye and went inside his room to take a shower. Jeongyeon lay down to the couch to rest and slowly closed her eyes.
She thought Jimin already left but she was surprised when the guy talked that made her open her eyes. “Jeong?”
“I thought you already left.”
“I’m sorry…. I just wanted to tell you something.”
“Say it.” she said and started to close her eyes again.
“I want to change Seok’s name into mine. I want him to use my surname. Park Jeong Seok.” he said and Jeongyeon suddenly opened her eyes and look at Jimin with a surprise.
