Author's note: I'm sorry for all the POVs, but its necessary. The girls ages are 4, 6, and 8.
Ricky's POV:
It was quite lonely in the house and Nini was having a sleepover with Kourtney, so I was on my own. I decided to get out of the house and go to the skatepark and have some fun. As I was walking to the skate park, I past a playground and saw the back of Gina's big poofy hair while walking by. I decided to go say hi to her and see why she was at a playground.
"Hey Gina, what are you doing here? I was just on my way to the local skatepark."
"Oh, hey Ricky, I'm babysitting my neighbors' kids for the night."
"G, Lizzie fell asleep on the swings and my legs hurt. Mandy and I want to go home now." A young girl around 12 came up to Gina struggling with carrying a younger girl.
"Wow. Gina, you got your hands full. Do you want me to help you take them back?"
"Gi, I'm tired." The middle child complained rubbing her eyes.
"Yeah, Ricky some help would be nice. I forgot the stroller because I thought we wouldn't be here long, but they wanted to play. Can you carry Lizzie please? It's just a short walk from here." Gina said while holding the other two girls' hands.
I picked up the younger child who was asleep and put my skateboard onto my backpack attachment before following Gina lead the way. What else could Gina do? Dance, sing, act, babysit, bake.

Gina's POV:
I let the older girls sit on the couch and turn on a movie while I tucked Lizzie into bed. I already made them dinner before going to the park, so I didn't worry about that. I had to figure out what to do with two kids and Ricky though. I walked down the stairs and saw the two older girls fighting over the remote as Ricky watched.
"Alison, let Mandy pick the movie this time, you picked dress up earlier." I said handing Mandy the remote.
"Who's that guy?" Alison said pointing at Ricky who was looking at my Dad's old guitar.
"This is my friend Ricky; Ricky meet Alison and Mandy. I watch them a lot while their mom takes double shifts at the hospital."
Mandi and Alison weren't interested in meeting Ricky and turned their heads towards the TV screen, which was playing Cinderella. This gave me some free time to talk with Ricky.
"Hey so thanks for carrying Lizzie. She's getting bigger and heavier."
"No problem. Can I show you something? I just need someone's opinion besides Big Red's" Ricky said picking up my dad's old guitar.
"Sure. We can just sit in the kitchen where I can see the girls."
"I wrote this song for Nini before opening night of the fall musical. I haven't shown it to her yet. Big Red didn't necessarily like it. I need a girl's opinion on it."
I fell in love
With the only girl who knows what I'm about
Ricky sang as I watched him play the guitar so gently and precisely. Before he could sing another line, Mandi walked into the kitchen yawning.
"Excuse me Ricky, I think it's time for the older girls' bedtime." I said getting off the kitchen stool.
"Can Ricky sing to us, instead of a story?" Mandi pleaded with big eyes.
"Please." Alison came into the kitchen begging on.
"Ricky would you sing them to sleep after I help them into their pajamas and brushing their teeth?"
"Of course, I'd be honored." Ricky said smiling.
Once I helped the girls get ready for bed, I tucked them in and let Ricky do his thing. He sang this beautiful song with the acoustic guitar that he said was called "Just for a Moment." By the time he finished Mandi was asleep.
"Ricky is that song for G?" Alison said yawning and mispronouncing her R's.
"No, it's for my girlfriend Nini." Ricky said setting down the guitar and exiting the bedroom.
I got Alison to sleep then went downstairs to see if Ricky was still there. He was sitting in the kitchen on the barstool looking upset.
"Hey Gina, I'm sorry about the way I said the song wasn't for you up there. I mean yeah it is for Nini but your also my friend and I allowed you to hear it. I don't know what I'm saying I just miss her already. She's at some sleepover with Kourtney." Ricky said running his hand through his curls.
I placed my hand on his to get him to look up at me. Ricky couldn't be away from Nini for even an hour. He was so in love with her. I didn't make a move because that would be wrong, and I liked someone else.
"You better get home; it's getting really dark out. Thanks for the help." I said smiling at him.
Nini's POV:
"Kourt, you know what would be more fun?"
"What? You, making out with Ricky again." Kourtney rolled her eyes at me.
"No, well yes that, but what if I invited Ashlyn and Gina over?"
"OMG girl why didn't I think of that earlier? Do it." Kourt said excitedly while applying lip gloss.
"Gina lives a few houses down and Ashlyn does too. Let's go surprise them with an invitation."
"Nini, that's a lot of work and your bed is comfy. Just text them." Kourt complained.
"Please. Think of it as your nightly workout."
"I don't work out at night."
"Kourt, come on." I said slipping on my sneakers.
We got to Gina's house first and walked up the driveway. I saw Ricky in her Kitchen. What was he doing there?! And Gina was touching his chin. Maybe he didn't like me and just wanted Gina after all?
"Kourt, I don't feel well. Let's just go home and do mani pedis." I said trying my best not to cry.
"I'm going to slap that jerk when we get to school on Monday." Kourt said holding my hand as we walked home.
*Monday Morning at East High*
I walked up to my locker to get my books for first period and saw Ricky walking up at me, but I ignored him. He tried to kiss me, but I just backed away and walked away. He was too quick and grabbed my hand lightly.
"Nini what's wrong? Is it your time of the month?" He whispered the last part.
"No. Ricky leave me alone." I said letting go of his hand and walking away.
During lunch I sat next to Kourtney and Seb while Ricky sat farther away with Big Red. I couldn't look at him. What was he doing with Gina? I looked up from my tray to open my juice box and saw his gray eyes look so small and sad. His eyes weren't usually that color though. What's going on with him?
After lunch, I had P.E with Gina and Ashlyn. Gina seemed happy at kept staring at E.J who was on the opposing team. Why couldn't I be happy?
"Hey, are you ok Nini, you look sad." Gina said taking a water break with me.
"I don't know. Why are you asking me? You're the one kissing my boyfriend!" I screamed a bit too loud in the gym.
"What are you talking about Nini?"
"I saw you and Ricky in your kitchen last night. I was going to invite you to my sleepover, but you were too busy touching my boyfriend." I walked away ignoring her.
Gina grabbed my hand and led me to the back of the gym. She looked confused.
"Look, I don't know what you saw but I did not kiss Ricky and he did not kiss me. I would never do that to one of my best friends. And I have my eye on someone else." Gina said looking upset since I accuse her of kissing Ricky.
"I'm sorry Gins. I shouldn't have assumed that you did something with him. I'll talk to him before rehearsal. Do you want to have that sleepover with the girls this weekend?" I said while hugging her.
"That would be amazing. My first sleepover." Gina said excitedly as the gym teacher blew a whistle.
Ricky's POV:
I was sitting in study hall with Big Red staring at my Algebra notes. What did I do wrong? One day Nini loves me the next she hates me.
"Hey man, what's up? You look a bit down." Big Red said putting his pencil down.
"I don't know. This morning Nini refused to kiss me and she just walked away. Did I do something wrong?" I said messing with my curls.
"Women. I'm sure she just needs some space today. You should talk to her before rehearsals, so you don't mess things up today during the big dance number."
"Big Red, don't you get it. She won't talk to me. She hates me." I said putting my head down on the desk.
"I think she just need some time to think and be with her friends. Ashlyn does that sometimes when I hang out with her too much. Sorry I didn't need to bring up my relationship. Look Ricky whatever you did, I'm sure she will forgive you." Big Red said putting his hand on my shoulder.
Before rehearsal, I saw Nini talking with Kourtney outside of the theatre. She was ignoring me again. I needed to fix things with her before this big dance rehearsal.
"Yo Nini, can we talk?"
"Yeah." She said walking away from Kourtney
"I'm sorry for whatever I did. Please don't hate me."
"No. Ricky, I'm sorry for being mad at you today. Gina told me about last night and I assumed that you guys did something. I was going to ask her to come to my sleepover but when Kourt and I walked up to the driveway I saw you guys in the window."
"Oh. I promise we didn't do anything. I saw her at the park and helped her babysit her neighbor's kids. Please don't ignore me again. I can't stand being away from you." I said grabbing a hold of her hand.
Nini's POV:
I walked up and held Ricky's cheek gently, while kissing him. I heard a bunch of my friends holler and whistle from behind as I backed away and smiled.
"Ok. My favorite couple, please get ready for the ballroom dance rehearsal for Beauty and the Beast! Everyone else find a partner. We're all in this together!" Miss Jenn said excitedly as I got into position with Ricky and saw Carlos and Seb join hands.
I looked around the room for Gina, she was left without a partner last rehearsal because E.J had a water polo match. In the corner of my eye, I saw her attempting to get into position with E.J while laughing. I'm glad things are back to normal.
