Jennie's POV:
"Baby..." - I softly called her out as she was still laying in the white bed, having her hand held by mine. I pulled it tenderly to place its back on my cheek, "Please wake up..." - A verge of crying was well up, as I felt extremely worried about Lisa, my poopoo.
It had been hours already since the bullet was removed but her eyes still closed with her unmoved body. A tear finally escaped my left eye because I couldn't hold anymore.
'What if she keeps sleeping like this and not open her eyes? What if she leaves me alone here in this scary world?' Overthinking invaded my head as tear ain't tired from rolling down all night. 'No! My babe's gonna be alright. Tomorrow she'll be awake. Please...' I kept praying to God until I lost all of the strength and couldn't help but collapsed beside her.
I fell asleep, but the sleep wasn't well at all because after a short while, I felt like having a hand, softly played with my hair. I didn't know whose it was so I tried to open my eyes.
"H-How did you get here? Aren't you in jail?" - I uneasily asked and back away immediately, as soon as he tried to get closer.
"I escaped!" - He kept stepping.
"Stay the fuck away, Jongin!! - My feet brought me backward until I bumped with the rolling-shelf, and so I grabbed the knife to prevent him from going forward, "I'll stab you if you touch my Lisa!" - I threaten him while my hands tremblingly held the knife.
He smirked, "You think it'll work on me?" - Jongin then turned to me, tightly holding the knife that I pointed at him, "Come on, stab me! Stab me!!" - He gripped it even tighter to pull to his chest that its edge cut his hand pretty deep, yet I couldn't see any blood.
"Why? Don't you stab me? Are you scared? Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm just here to revenge!!" - A sharp voice was elicited as he quickly pulled the knife away from me to stab Lisa.
"Noooooo!!" - I screamed my lung out and it completely woke myself up, "Lisa!! Lisa!!" - Unsteady breathe puffed while I was trying to call for my baby.
"Jennie?? What happened??" - Jisoo immediately held me and it was time I realized it was just a nightmare.
"Unnie..." - Again I cried. It was nth time already and I could still produce tear. My cousin didn't say anything, she just pulled me into her hug and softly pat on my back.
"Got a nightmare?"
I slowly nodded while sobbing. Then, Rosé uttered.
"Unnie-ah..." - She heaved a deep sigh as having her hand tenderly placed on my shoulder, looking at my swollen eyes, "It's already late. Please eat something and rest.." - She worriedly suggested and I just looked at Lisa, who was unconsciously laying in the bed.
"I will. After she's awake." - Gloomy voice was uttered as I now held her hand again. How could I feel like eating when my baby didn't even open her eyes?
Another sigh then heaved, but this time it was from my cousin, Jisoo, "Come on, Jennie.. it's almost 2AM now and not even a drop of water enter your tummy."
"But she's still—"
"Don't she this or she that! Rosé and I will look after her. Now go to get something. If you can't eat in this hour then at least have some drink. Milk or whatever." - My cousin continued her mom-side, and so? I had to obey.
"Okay.. I'll drink some milk because I don't feel like eating anything."
"Alright. At least you drink." - She said and I gave her a slight smile before I got up to get a glass of milk, but I was immediately stopped while my hand was softly grabbed. I turned to the bed.
"Lisa!! Lisa.. my lili is awake!!" - An excited voice completely echoed as my eyes sparkling with the tear of joy. Jisoo and Rosé were also happy and they were now rushingly running to call for a doctor.
I gladly smiled, letting the tear shedded while repeatedly kissing her fingers.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry.." - I guiltily apologized as I was the one who caused her injured. It was exactly my fault. I cried even more but Lisa just softly smiled while her eyes wouldn't take off me and her hand was slowly brought to my cheek to tenderly wipe my tear away.
"Shh.. don't blame yourself. I'm happy that you're okay." - She tried to talk in her low, tired tone. I shook my head, as gripped her hand tight to place on my cheek.
"Please.. please promise me you won't do that again.. please.." - I choked on my own tear, "It's really hurt to see you getting hurt and it's because of me. I can't even stand when we don't interact even just a second, and imagined I were you, and you were me. I was just laying unconsciously like that, what would you feel? Can you tell me? I was so scared, I was afraid that you wouldn't wake up, you would just leave me alone here. I was completely lost. I love you, I love you Lisa-ya and I don't know what to do without you."
My baby then smiled more as she caressing my cheeks with her fingers, "I love you too Nini. Love you so much that I don't care even if I lose my life just to save you."
"No! You aren't allowed to risk your life anymore." - I strongly protested but the girl just softly giggled. She then nodded, before tucking my hair behind my ear, lovingly looked at me who sat beside her bed. She gave another gentle smile.
"Okay, I won't and I'll make sure that we both and our whole family will not encounter any calamity again."
I then nodded to her sincere answer.
"So...?"
My eyebrows raised curiously as I heard she blurted out.
"Hmm?"
"So where are my kisses? I miss you..." - Lisa pouted her lips sadly and I giggled, before wiping my tear because I found her cute.
"Come on.. stop crying and give me kisses.." - She said with her low tone and so I suppressed my laughter then stood up to bend myself down a bit so I could plant a kiss on her forehead. Lisa smiled widely as soon as she felt my lips. I then moved down to kiss on the tip of her nose before went to her both cheeks as I carefully moved myself without causing her hurt and my lips captured her lips after.
My Lili kept her smiled widen since she was satisfied. We then had a small talk before the doctor came and cleaned her wound. Since Lisa was brought out, I took a chance to make her some porridge. It looked like a 6 months old baby's porridge because it was colorful by various vegetables and I also added egg in there. It was extremely delicious I could assure since I, myself, had tasted once, when my mom's friend, she was Cambodian and she cooked that for me. However, I couldn't assure mine.
I then giggled at my own thought as I carefully prepared it for my baby.
After awhile, Lisa was brought back and the doctor told us about her condition. He said she was okay but she needed a lot of rest. He kept mentioning about her being lucky enough that the bullet hit the right place and I was there also thankful. God was on our sides anyway.
Once he finished his demonstration, he went back to visit another patients. It was still 5 in the morning so I asked Rosé and Jisoo to get some rest while I was here feeding my baby.
"Wait wait..! Is it the hospital's food?" - Lisa immediately asked as soon as she saw a bowl full of porridge. I shook my head.
"No, baby. I made it earlier." - I answered and her both eyes became twinkled.
"Omg!! Really?" - She excitedly asked so I smiled with a nod.
"Yes. Now taste it first, okay?" - The girl then nodded before opened her mouth, waiting for me to bring the spoon in. I shook my head and fed her once, but I was shocked when she got frozen.
"Oh.. my.. god.." - Her eyes blinked repeatedly while swallowing the porridge in her mouth.
I suddenly became nervous. 'Does it taste awful? Oh no, I should have been careful with the taste.' I thought and quickly put the bowl down before asking her.
"B-Baby... I'm sorry I'll cook another food if you don't like it." - I guiltily said and she immediately disagreed.
"No! Why cook another food? Who said I didn't like it?" - She cluelessly questioned me.
"Y-Your face showed me like that." - I sadly looked down but she just chuckled.
"Aigoo, my baby, I was just stunned because your porridge tasted so good that I wanna eat more."
"Really? You don't say this because you wanna make me happy?" - I asked and the girl smiled.
"Please stop considering yourself as the one who always got fault. There is nothing wrong here with your porridge. It tastes completely great and I do love it." - She softly said as I could see honesty through her eyes. She then continued, "Now can I have another spoon? I'm hungry." - She pouted and so I fed her again.
"Ahhh." - I said to make her mouth bigger but she made it biggest. I giggled to her silly-side. I couldn't believe she was still this playful even if she was actually injured.
"Umm, eat like that." - I uttered. The girl just opened her mouth even more.
"Okay, another spoon. Yeah, one more spoon." - I kept feeding her happily as the girl enjoyed the porridge until the bowl was empty.
"Wah, it is delicious, baby. What did I do to deserve a great chef like you?"
I giggled and put the bowl down on the rolling shelf, "You love me. That's what you do." - I said and a smile appeared once again on her face.
"I love you, Nini."
"I love you too, Lili."
A kiss was tenderly planted on Lisa's lips as soon as I finished my word. Our lips moved gently together and it literally calm our hearts. We did felt safe. The long sweet kiss kept remaining but unexpectedly, the door was pushed.
"Jen—" - A voice called out my name but swallowed back another half after they saw what they saw.
I was surprised to recognize whose this voice was and so I quickly pulled away the kiss from my baby. Then I rushingly went to have a proper stand beside the bed before they stepped toward us.
"M-Mom.. Dad.. I'm sorry that I didn't know you came." - I nervously said but they just chuckled.
"Haha, don't sorry us. We just thought we should be the one who say sorry since it looked like we interrupted something. Isn't it, darling?" - My dad then playfully teased as it caused pinky blush on my cheeks.
"Come on, honey. Look, Jennie's blushing now." - My mom said and her sweetheart just kept his chuckle, "He's always like that." - She added, shaking her head and we just laughed.
Since it was morning, my parents brought me breakfast and also for Lisa, they didn't know that my baby just ate. We all then had a conversation as my parents, asking if her wound was okay and she told them it was. Lisa is such a strong big baby, she never complain about her own pain, no matter how suffers she is. She just endures and keeps fighting. She's not only my girlfriend but also my role-model.
Our conversation kept going well and her parents then came. They were really thankful to us, my parents and me, for taking care of their daughter because with us, they trust.
"Thank you so much, Jennie." - Mrs.Manoban said as holding one of my hand, showing me her sweet look.
I shook my head, "No, Auntie. It's my duty. She's my girlfriend and I cannot stand seeing her hurt."
She then softly nodded while having her darling stood beside, rubbing her shoulder, "We're so lucky to have you. Please keep taking care of her.. she loves you so much." - Her mom emotionally said and so I just hugged her.
"Yes, Auntie. I will always stick by her side." - She again nodded and I could feel her tear dropped. She must be so worried about her daughter. I tighten my hug and Mr.Manoban saw us like that, he couldn't help but hugged us too. They're sweet.
My parents and hers spent their morning with us before they went back to their business. Lunch time was coming and so our friends also came.
"Omg, Lisa-yaaa..." - Joy dramatically came to throw herself on my baby's legs as she was laying on them bed. Lisa kicked her out.
"Wtf! Babe, helpppp..." - My baby whined and I just shook my head.
"Nah. They miss you, so? They can do whatever they want." - I giggled while peeled her oranges.
"Correct! Jen knows us. We do miss you Lisa-ya! It's been the whole day you lost consciousness." - Joy pouted and the other just nodded.
"See? They really miss you babe." - I said as walking toward her with a glass of orange juice. Suddenly someone uttered in soft low tone.
"Yes. We miss you, I miss you and.. I'm sorry.."
Seulgi guiltily looked down. She might feel wrong for what she did on Lisa days ago. She gave her so many hard punch that time.
"Will you forgive me?" - Our friend kept on having her face down and her lover just rubbed her shoulder to sooth her nervousness.
Lisa then smiled to both of them, Seulgi and Irene before she said, "I never keep it in mind, Seul. You are my best friend and as same as Irene."
A bright, smiley face appeared as the owner said, "Really? So you don't mind the punch?"
"Of course. I don't. I deserved to be punched tho." - Lisa softly giggled then a loud voice raise.
"Omg thank you, Lisa-ya! Lemme kiss you!!" - Seulgi quickly pounced to her.
"OUCH!! The fuck—"
"Yessss!!! Let's us kiss you too!!" - Just finishes their words, they quickly ran to kiss my Lisa like fangirls.
"Oh my god!! Stop, stop, fuck—" - She whined messily as she couldn't move because of the wound on her shoulder. She only screamed, "Nini!! Helppppp!!"
Lisa's POV:
'I swear I literally didn't know what my sin is for having them as friends.' I hissed as glaring at those bitches who stole my bed for the their fucking God sake while I'm the real patient, just sat here on the couch and watched them enjoying their game and Instagram scrolling. 'I got shot, bitch, I got shot.' 🙃
"Hey, Lisa! Stop that grumpy face! Come on, join us." - Seulgi said while dropping her reverse card.
"Dang Seul!! Impossible!!" - Joy whined and I just kept my blank face to those bitches. I wanna cry because my baby wasn't here, she was again talking with the doctor. Hikhik.
I pouted hardly as I didn't take my glance away from those six crackheads. I wished I could chop them into pieces and threw into the fucking oven yet they are my best friend. 'Fuck!' I cursed. Suddenly my girl was coming back. She immediately yelled.
"FUCK Y'ALL BITCHES WHO THE FUCK KICK MY BABY OUT OF THE BED!!!" - Jennie fumingly spat out as she storm in to give them uncountable slaps and they quickly scattered.
"Fuck— ouch, Jen!! Stop!!" - Yeri begged while her butt was slapped. I laughed hard to their chaotic.
"Bitch shut the fuck up! Lisa is still in treat!!" - My baby shouted back while continued her fight. She's a real street fighter.
"Damn ouch!" - This time it was Joy, "We didn't kick her out!! We just—"
"I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" - Jennie madly yelled like a fuming kitten then she pulled their collars to throw them to the wall. She breathed firmly, "Put your damn hands above your head!"
"What??" - The exact same question was simultaneously blurted out.
"PUT YOUR DAMN HANDS ABOVE YOUR DAMN HEAD!" - My baby emphasized each of her words got them trembling.
Another stupid question came, "Fuck, Jendeuk! Even me?"
"YES!!"
"But I'm your Unnie. The fuck??" - Jisoo protested.
The chaotic wasn't end and luckily we were in VIP room so we wouldn't disturb other patients. I giggled to our friends' condition right now but suddenly the door was opened and the visitor completely got shocked.
"Nani dafuq?" - He blinked cluelessly to those bitches who kept standing, having their hands above their heads while my girl, hands on her hips, staring deadly at them.
"W-We were punished." - Rosé softly blurted out and caused Bam even more confused.
"What, why?" - He scratched his head while walking toward my bed, about to flop his butt down, a loud warn immediately shouted by our friends, got him startled the hell out.
"NO!! DON'T SIT THERE!!" - They simultaneously yelled and Bambam jumped off like he avoided the bomb. We all laughed.
'Damn, they're stupid.' I giggled at myself while I finally got back my bed.
"Okay, so that was it?" - Bambam asked.
"Yes! Just like that." - Joy crossed her arms, rolling her eyes, and my bro just facepalmed himself after he perceived what happened earlier.
He shook his head, "Jennie, you shouldn't—" - He was about to lecture my baby something but he swallowed back his half-sentence because the glare that Jennie gave wasn't a simple one. It was a dead one. He cleared his throat and continued, "Okay, okay, alright. Let's skip it and move back to the topic."
We all then raise about eyebrows.
"About Kai?" - I asked.
He nodded, "Yes!"
"What is he now?" - Jisoo was curious as same as we were, but Bambam sounded hesitate to tell. He sighed before shortly said.
"He's dead.."
"What?? How??" - We all surprised.
"Well, when he was forced to undergo interrogation by the police, he suddenly became like a psycho and pulled the gun from us. We rushingly stopped him but he ended up accidentally shot himself.."
A deep breathe took out as it was from Jennie. She looked at my face and held my hand after. I knew she was now being sad again. She just has the good heart. I caressed her cheek to sooth her sadness. She then gave a soft smile and nodded, before uttered.
"Please send our condolences to him." - She said and Bam nodded.
We were silent for seconds but another question raised from my baby, "Umm. So how's case?"
"Oh, yes. About that we have our ways. Even Jongin is already gone, we still managed to find his uncle."
"Really? Who is he?"
"Mr.Yang, he is!"
My mouth agaped.
Mr.Yang's POV:
"BULLSHIT!!!" - A fucking smoke-pipe was threw madly to the fucking floor, caused those piece of shits startled.
"P-Please don't be mad, Master.."
A slap immediately smacked to whoever dared to lecture me.
"YOU VAIN SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" - I exasperatedly gritted my teeth.
My blood was extremely boiling. Wrath continuously spread in my every veins. That asshole completely ruined my 20 years effort, my whole fucking effort. There is no wonder why Manoban could easily run off with those tone of wealth because who knows? My brother-in-law and his son are fucking futile just like each other.
I clenched my jaw tight. 'They really push me to the end of road!' I couldn't think about any tricks anymore. They might have known it was me who was behind this shit and I couldn't take any action. 'Fuck it!'
Things in my room were scattered everywhere as I strongly pushed every shit away. I gritted my teeth. There is only one thing I could think now.
Runaway.
'Yes. I'll take their ton of money and run away.' I smirked at the corner of my lips, cunningly.
I then called out one of my stray dog, "Bobby?"
"Yes, Master?"
"Take away the tracker from that Mercedes, I'm gonna use her car tomorrow."
"Roger it!"
