"Holy shit." Robert says as he drops onto the couch.
I smile as I lock the door behind me. "Uh-huh."
"Your mother -"
"Yep." I nod, kicking my shoes off.
"Holy shit." Robert repeats, shaking his head.
"Mhmm." I turn to face him, a smug smile on my face.
"You're mocking me."
I nod. "Just a little." I admit.
Robert sighs.
"Alright, Imma shower, junk food and movie night?" I ask.
"Musical or something else?" He asks.
"Mm surprise me." I say, walking to the bedroom.

I finish tying my hair up into a bun as I shuffle out of the bathroom to the kitchen.
"Babe, we need milk." I say looking in the fridge, before chuckling. "And that is official the most domestic sentence I've said."
"I'll get it tomorrow with the rest of the groceries!" Robert calls from the couch.
"Trader Joe's run?" I ask, grabbing the dry erase marker and adding it to the list.
"Yep, movie time now."
I grab a water bottle and pad out to the couch. "Oh Harry Potter! Oh god, I haven't watched this in months"
"And for a snack, my hidden stash of..."
"Chocolate pretzels! You said you ate them all, you jackass!"
Robert shrugs as I plop down beside him, snuggling against his side as he starts the movie.
"March." I say suddenly.
"March for what?" Robert looks at me.
"For us. For our wedding. March or maybe April."
Robert pauses the movie. "Where's this coming from?" He asks.
"We've been engaged for months, and we don't even have a date. I just want a date for when I get to marry the most amazing man that I love so much!" I say.
"March sounds perfect." Robert smiles. "March twenty-ninth."
"Okay. The twenty-ninth of March."
I bite down on my bottom lip as we both go silent.
"Is there anything else to plan?" Robert asks.
I nod. "A whole lot." I say.
"Maybe we should start on that."
"What about the movie?" I ask.
"I wanna plan our wedding." Robert says.
"I - no. I just wanted a date."
"But, what? I thought you wanted to plan."
"No. I have so much going on with work, I just - I just wanted the one thing, a set date." I say.
Robert purses his lips. "I want to plan our wedding." He says.
"And I'm saying not right now. What's the problem?"
"What's the problem? I want to plan our wedding! Our wedding!" Robert exclaims.
"I don't want to right now!" I raise my voice.
"Why not?"
I open and close my mouth.
Robert shakes his head, getting up from the couch. "Forget it, I'm going to bed."
"Babe, wait." I turn as he walks down the hall.
"Robert!"
I jump a little as the bedroom slams, then sink against the couch with a sigh.
