Me and Pete found a van with it's back doors opened. We quickly ran inside and he locked the doors.
Pete: Well, they shouldn't be able to get through that. But we can't get through them.
He slides down on the wall and he holds his his bitten ankle. I sat down and stared at it.
Pete: What're you looking at? Staring ain't polite.
Y/N: What, uh, what're you going to do?
He stares past me.
Pete: Hand me that.
I looked behind me and see a hacksaw sitting on a box.
Y/N: Cutting it off won't work.
Pete: Says who?
Y/N: My friend Lee...
I spoke in a sadden tone.
Pete: Well, I might as well try it. I'm dead either way.
He reaches over and grabs the saw. He lines it above the bite.
Y/N: You're going to bleed out.
He sighs and throws the saw.
Pete: You're right. I'll bleed out like a stuck pig. And I doubt you'll be able to carry me with them all out there.
Y/N: Just rest. I'll try to find something to help.
I walked up to a box labeled "Red and Gold" I opened it and there were a couple packs of cigarettes.
Pete: What's in there?
I picked up a pack and showed him.
Pete: Gimme one of those. Probably taste like pine tar, but I'll take anything.
I smirked.
Y/N: Can you show me?
Pete: Hell no.
Y/N: How come?
Pete: All it took was one pack and I was hooked.
Y/N: Well, I wouldn't do it anyway.
Pete chuckles.
Pete: You got a light?
I pulled out the lighter that, luckily, Clementine gave me. I lit up his cigarette and he takes one puff before coughing.
Pete: Well, that tastes about as bad as it smells.
We sat in silence as he smokes his cigarette.
Y/N: I hope Clementine is okay.
Pete: Are you two like, together? Because you're kinda young if you ask me.
His question catches me off guard and I blush.
Y/N: Uh, no, no. We're just really close, we knew each other around the time this started. She's the closest thing to family I have.
He coughs as he finishes his cigarette.
Pete: Well, family is what you chose by heart, not by blood.
I smirked.
Y/N: That's what I always say.
Pete: Smart kid. I reckon we get some rest. It's going to be a while before those things move.
I nodded as I lied down and closed my eyes.

I was awoken by Pete groaning. I quickly backed up and grabbed the hacksaw. I slowly approached him and poked him. He wakes up coughing like crazy.
Pete: Dammit. I feel like ten pounds of shit in a five pound sack.
He spits out some blood.
Pete: Jesus. We been stuck in here all damn day.
Pete: I've been thinking, and I don't wanna die. Never thought I'd say that, but here we are.
Y/N: What does it feel like?
Pete: It feels like a rope is wrapped around my neck, getting tighter by the second. It feels like I can't.... breathe.
Pete: Would you and Clem watch out for Nick? I love that stupid kid.
Y/N: We'll try our best.
Pete: It's been about a day, they ain't gonna find us.
He gets up and opens the door.
Y/N: What're you doing?
Pete: Ain't no way I'm making it out. But you are. I'll distract them.
Y/N: Alright, Pete. Thank you.
Pete: You go find my nephew now, all right? Clementine's a tough kid, they'll be alright. Once I start starting up the van, you'll make a break for the woods.
I went to the back of van and once the walkers were close enough. I started running towards the woods, heading back to the cabin.
Goodbye, Pete.

I kept moving for the rest of the night. It was morning and I made it back to the cabin. I went to back door and entered it.
Rebecca: My husband is still out there! Get the guns!
Clementine, Carlos, and Rebecca looked at me.
Clementine: Y/N! are you alright?
Rebecca: You haven't seen Alvin or Luke?
I shake my head no, Carlos runs off to grab some guns.
Rebecca: Alvin and Luke went looking for you, I tired to tell them no. Dammit, Luke. Where's Pete?
Y/N: He was bit. We sat in this van for hours, but he saved my life by distracting them.
Carlos returns and hands Rebecca a gun.
Carlos: Clementine, Y/N. Could you please watch Sarah?
Y/N: We got it.
Carlos: Thank you. You'll be safe inside, don't open the doors for anything! We'll be back soon.
Once he leaves, Clementine pulls me into a quick hug.
Clementine: I'm glad you're okay.
I smiled at her.
Y/N: Same here. Come on, we should go see Sarah.
She nods as we went to her room. As we opened the door she scares us by taking a picture.
Sarah: I found this along with other cool things under the house.
She hands Clementine the picture of us.
Sarah: It's so cool! Take one of me!
Clementine looks at me as I chuckled.
Y/N: That's all you.
She giggles.
Clementine: Fine.
She takes a picture of Sarah and then hands her it.
Sarah: Um, where's my dad?
Y/N: He went out, he'll be back soon.
She turns around and silently cries.
Y/N: Uh, was it something I said?
Sarah: No, S-sorry I just need to-- Hey, Luke's back!
I looked out the window and see a shadow.
We left the room and went downstairs. I see the figure pass a window and it did not look like Luke.
Sarah: That's not Luke! I think I know him...
He starts knocking.
Sarah: He can't see me!
Y/N: Go hide fast!
???: Hello...?
Sarah: Guys, I can't breathe:
Y/N: Sh! Hide!
Me and Clem slowly approach the door. I tried to lock it, but the guy opens it.
???: Hello there.
Clementine: Get out. Now.
???: I hope that's not how your dad taught you to greet a neighbor.
Y/N: We have a gun.
???: Smart kids. I would too. But I'm bad, I promise you.
???: My family and I are set up a ways down-river. I'm surprised we haven't meet yet. What're your names?
Clementine: Carley.
Y/N: Lee.
???: Nice to meet you, Carley and Lee. Name's George.
He sticks out his hand, but we don't shake it. He then walks into the house.
George: Mind if I come in for a bit?
Clementine: Yes we do, actually.
George: This is a nice place. You got anyone else around?
Y/N: Just us two.
George: Well you seem to know how to take care of yourself.
Clementine: Sure...
George: Well, I'll cut to the chase. I'm out here looking for my people, seven of them. Maybe you seen them? A couple of farm boys and a old man, Spanish guy and his daughter, a big black guy, and a pretty little pregnant lady.
We ignored him and he looks around the house and enters the kitchen. We follow him in.
George: That's a lot of plates for just two people.
Clementine: Well, Lee never does the dishes.
George: I don't blame him. I don't either.
He walks over and picks up a knife.
George: Where does this go?
Y/N: Over there.
He walks over and puts it in a drawer. He then walks back into the living room.
George: Well this is a real nice place. Kinda cozy.
He looks at a shirt on a couch.
George: I knew a doctor who wore shirts like this. Doctor.
Y/N: What was his name?
George: Carlos.
He then hears a door being closed.
George: I thought you said it was you two?
Clementine: Probably just the wind.
He pulls out his pistol and goes up the stairs. Me and Clementine look at each other in fear.
He opens the door and looks around the room.
Y/N: We told you, it's just us.
George: Seems that way. Couldn't leave you both here with a good conscience someone was poking around, right?
Y/N: Uh-huh.
He picks up the picture of Sarah.
George: Who's this?
Clementine: A kid, obviously.
George: Well seems like I've overstayed my welcome. I'll let my self out. You two have a good day.
He walks off and leaves the house. Sarah comes from under the bed.
Sarah: Where is he?
Y/N: He left.
Sarah: What if he comes back?
We then sat in silence as we waited for the other to come back.
