Today is Lucas third birthday! I have never seen him so excited! Mark and Luca have gotten very close recently. It has been 9 months since we first got together and they have been a amazing 9 months. Other then almost dying, having surgery, oh and Mateo never talking to me again. I knew Mateo would react in.. a mad way, but the way he reacted was not completely over the top of what I expected. I think it was the fact that he found out after he gave me his kidney, or the fact that I didn't even get to tell him.
"Ready to go?" Mark asks me as I snap out of the book I was 'reading'.
"Where are we going again?" I look up at him confused.
Mark looks down at me with a brow raised and a smirk on his face.
"Did you really forget about your sons birthday?"
I shoot up and my eyes go wide, "Of course not, just let me grab my purse." I tell him as I walk towards my room, "Oh and Lucas present!"
I hear Mark chuckle in the distance.
I grab my purse and Lucas already wrapped present.
"Ready."

Me and Mark put the blanket down on the ground along with all of Lucas presents.
Luca is on the playground playing with the families of the people I have met in Italy.
"Hmph, I didn't think he was gonna show." I hear Mark laugh out.
"Hmm?" I ask as I look up and meet eyes with the one person I wasn't expecting to see. "Mateo?"
He waves at me with a smile as he walks towards me and Mark with a huge wrapped present.
"Hey Rue, how are you?" He asks me as he puts the present with the other presents.
"I-I'm good." I respond as Mark snakes his arm around my waist. Mateo looks between the two of us and I can see him wince but the smile never disappears. A fake smile that is easy to plaster onto a face, anyones face. "Where have you been? We haven't heard from you in over 3 months, Luca has missed you."
He scratches the back of his neck, "Busy, work stuff." He answered simply. He never looks at me but he keeps his eyes on Mark, there is something going on between them and its not that me and Mark are together. There is something else there.
I look towards the playground and see Luca isn't there.
I scan the around and still see no Luca. I look behind us and all around the fenced in park. I still do not see him.
"Luca?" I ask out loud and slightly louder then I should've.
"He is on the park babe." Mark tries to reassure me.
I stand up quickly and look around frantically.
"Luca!" I call his name out again. Mateo is looking around also, worried written all over his face.
"I'm sure him and some kids are just playing hide and seek." Mark tells me as he puts a hand on my shoulder trying to calm me down.
"No. No, if he was playing hide and seek he still would have come out at my voice." I panic as I look out towards the street and all the cars.
Mateo is looking around also, he is looking in the slide, the brushes, behind trees, everywhere he could hide. Mark is still standing by me not even looking the slightest amount of worried.
I scan up and down the street and at every car and truck. That is him, my son. He is being pulled towards a white van which has a man squatting inside ready to grab him.
My eyes go wide and I can't control my feet as they run towards the van.
"Luca!" I yell out as I turn the corner of the park fence and onto the sidewalk.
Mateo is running right behind me.
"Mommy!" Luca yells out trying to reach towards me. Luca looks at his dad and I can tell the joy trying to enter his eyes but is being flushed out by fear. "Daddy!" I can see the tears forming in his eyes as he jerks and pulls against the man pulling him.
Me and Mateo continue running towards the van. The man picks Luca up and throws him into the open vans doors and slams them shut.
"Luca!" I scream at the same time as Mateo gains speed and is almost at the van. The man looks back at us and smirks. He gets into the passenger side door and closes it. The van takes off the road right as Mateo is about to open the side door.
"Luca!" I cry out as my knees give out and I fall to the ground crying uncontrollably.
Mateo is at my side already trying to calm me down.
"Hey hey, it's ok. We will find him." He reassures me as he wraps me in a hug. I wrap my arms and just cry. "I promise." He whispers in my ear.

I promised to publish this chapter on the 6th, but it is 1:25am so I believe I'm a little late. So for the next chapter I'm going to try my hardest to make it a very good and long chapter to make it up!
