Chapter 10

Danz P.O.V
I woke up in Cesar's arms. he was still asleep so i decided to go take a shower. i brushed my teeth, and threw my hair up in a messy bun and got into some comfy clothes. I went into the living room and looked outside. My parents still werent home. i tried calling them so many times but they don't answers. i went i to their bed room but everything seemed untouched. i opened their dresser and it was empty. only a couple of needles but for her than that it was empty. Their closet were still full of clothes. why would they take some of their clothes and leave me here without saying anything. i went outside to check the mail box. it was full of overdue bills. what could have happened with my parents? I went back inside and sat on the couch looking outside. I wondered. Where could they be. i began to cook breakfast. I made pancakes and eggs. Cesar came out and said "good morning" with a raspy voice. "good morning" i said back. i handed him a plate with food and some OJ. "you're sweet" he said. "how"i replied. "you ha dong me a plate of food as i walk in is sweet" he said. Oscar came in
O:nice to see you two getting along
D:whats up
O:i need Cesar to do a job for me
C:what job
O:a payment is late so i need to go get it bc im not waiting. it's time for you to step up mami
C:that's not me
D:it is now
C:you're taking his side
D:we have different morals, we grew up differently
O:you gotta hold it down now
D:yeah
C:where is it at? am i going alone
O:no, one of the other ones will be with you. they'll take you. i just need you to be ready to throw down.
Cesar looked down at his food and just continued eating
O:where are your parents nena
(nena is his nickname for me)
D:i don't know, i haven't seen them all week. Their drawers are empty. There's overdue bills to pay. I called them hundreds of times but they don't answer.
O:do you think they're up to no good
D:at this point yeah
O:if they're not back by next week give me a call. i dont want you here by yourself.
D:you got it
