Midnight had just passed, Friday the 13th, June, the day of his birthday, had just begun and the first victims had already been murdered. Jason would probably have been busy for the rest of the night, hoping that the teens missing from the hotel would show up shortly after his return there. Before of that he had to make a quick stop at his house, he had some muffins to keep safe. They would have been his reward once the job was done.

Arrived at the run-down cottage that had been his home for all his life, he went to the kitchen, making some space on the table to rest on it the bag and his new ax, throwing the remains of several meals on the ground. There was always time to clean, but that was certainly not the right time.

The big man reopened the plastic bag, taking the letter, on which it had been written with a black marker "For Jason" and a little under "Happy Birthday". He pulled out the sheet of paper inside, starting to read. This time the message was a little longer, the marks left by the pen formed lines of capital letters, clear and in order.

"Hello Jason.

We have not yet been introduced properly. I know you but you probably don't know much about me. My name is Jasmine and I am your new neighbor, together with my parents. My father is a doctor and he was needed here, so we moved in. As you will see, we are a quiet family and I hope that we will be able to live together peacefully.

If the news about you are true, this is your day. I hope we will become friends, or at least good neighbors, so it seemed nice to give you a birthday present. I know you like bladed weapons and I hope you like sweets too.

I admit it, the last time we met you surprised me quite a bit ...

Ok you scared me a lot, it wasn't just surprise.

The next time we see each other maybe we'll try to keep both our calm, how does it sounds?

Meanwhile, I wish you a happy birthday.

See you soon.

Jasmine"

The signature was in italics, an elegant but well legible calligraphy. Jason really liked the block letters, he had always found it easier and faster. The girl knew how to earn points with him, there was no doubt about it. He decided that he would give her a chance, let her live with her family for at least a little while, driven by just curiosity. He wasn't very convinced by this friendship thing, he didn't trust it. He had never had friends, only his mother, and perhaps it was better that way. If you are alone there is no one who can hurt you. He had tried, years before, to make friends and it had ended horibly, so he had given up.

He went to put the note together with the other, pausing for a moment to look at the necklace with the mask. He put it in his pocket, returned to take the ax, removing it from the cover and tying the ribbon around the handle. It was his first gift in decades, he wanted to show it off. He turned the heavy weapon in his hands as if it was very light, then testing its sharpness and skills on an unfortunate chair, already run down, reducing it to a pile of wood good only for the fire. Satisfied, he started to leave the house again, then pausing for a moment at the door. When he finally came out he was swallowing the last bite of one of the muffins, lowering the mask back into place. They were really as good as they seemed.

With unusual cheerfulness, which he did not show, he headed quickly and confidently towards what would be another place of massacre in the area in the morning. Generally he did not go to the city, he tended to stay in his forest. But if necessary, he would get to the other end of the world, and then return to his home once the work was done.

Arrived at his destination he returned to the hall, noting that there were no missing keys than before. He would have to wait longer, so he went to hide, as usual, at the edge of the woods, waiting for someone to come back. Nobody had camped or partyed around the lake, so he had nothing to do but stay in that area. Thinking about it he should have brought the muffins with him, at least he would have something to do.

When someone finally showed up, he was alone. A staggering boy was slowly approaching, leaning on parked cars, poles and walls so as not to fall the next step. He was soaked drunk. Jason hated him.

"Kill him, Jason! Kill him NOW! " His mother urged him. He obeyed without it being repeated more.

Given the conditions in which the guy was, there would have been no need for a silent approach. He gripped his new ax firmly with one hand, leaving the woods and heading towards the figure.

The boy became aware of him only because of the immense shadow that had suddenly covered him. Turning, he found himself face to chest with the famous serial killer, wincing for a moment. He looked up with his gaze clouded by alcohol, confused, then surprised and finally amused.

"Hey buddy, nice mask. Are you celebrating Friday the 13th too? "He said, causing Jason to get a disgusting smell of alcoholic breath. This only made him tighten the ax more.

"Your costume is really cool, you look real, you look like someone who knows how to have fun. I would offer you a beer but I think I finished them all." He had to lean on Jason's arm so as not to fall to the ground. The killer didn't like this at all. "God, I think I drank too much. Would you help me get back to the room? I'm right in this shack here. "He continued, pointing to the hotel behind him with a wave of his hand.

With a tug Jason freed himself from the boy's weak grip, then took him by the back of the shirt and dragged him to the back, behind the garbage cans. He could not kill him in front of the hotel or would alarm those who would come after him.

The young man could not resist. He was dragged without much to do except say a few more words, losing his balance as soon as the man had grabbed his shirt and started pulling it.

"Hey hey hey! Where are you going dude?! The entrance is that way!"

Jason only let go when he was sure he was well protected from prying eyes. The guy collapsed on the ground, out of breath.

"Come on, help me get up or I'll end up spending the night here." In response Jason gripped his ax with both hands.

"Nice. Is it your lucky ax? Did your girlfriend give it to you for your birthday? " He laughed again.

Jason raised the ax above his head, with no other noise except his breathing that resonated inside his mask.

"What the fuck are you doing?! Put it down!" Said then done, Jason dropped the ax straight into the teen's stomach.

He was out of breath, unable to do anything except look at the weapon stuck in his guts.

Jason took it out easily and the other made a strangled groan. The previously gray shirt was quickly dying a dark shade of red.

The ax struck again, severing an arm cleanly. Then the second, then one leg, then the other. In all this, the young man could only emit gasps and moans. He was crying and had also vomited a little. He had even pissed himself.

Moving to the side of that being still living for a short time, Jason raised his ax for the last time, then cutting off his head and definitively ending the young man's life.

He stayed a few minutes to observe his work, before making the evidence disappear. After a while, all that was left was a pool of blood mixed with urine and vomit. It was not a beautiful sight and the smell was even more unpleasant. Jason hurried away, returning to his observation point.

A/N

Hello everyone!

Thanks to the obligation to stay at home these days, I am managing to write. I updated the Italian version of the story just a few days ago. What a satisfaction to be able to publish on Friday the 13th chapter 13 of the fanfiction on Friday the 13th set on Friday the 13th.

Anyway, going back to us, this chapter is definitely much shorter than usual, but since I would like to be able to update both versions of the story more regularly before the emergency ends I decided that I will do shorter chapters, almost as if they were one or two scenes. So they will be faster to write and translate.

I hope you liked this chapter.

See you soon!
