"Shit, don't blame me" He shrugged."This time its your ass"
"My ass?" I chuckled."You're the one who fucking done it and you're blaming me? You cheated, mother fucker!"
"Sure its your fault. You're fading, YN"
"I'm fading? Whats that supposed to mean?"
"You ain't what i want no more"
My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach. After all the shit i done for him.
"Nah?" I shook my head."I can't please everybody"
"Yo ass don't even try" he said dryly."Get the fuck out of here with that shit. I don't need ya"
"Thats fine, August. Just remember what type of girl i am and where i met you. I met you before Mel passed. I was there when you were crying buckets. I was your shoulder and your back bone. Ain't no other female done shit for ya. Not even your own mama. You take care of yourself, cause i wont be here to do it for you"
I grabbed my car keys and left. I had nothing more left to say. We hit a deadline. The goal was over, and so was the dream.
What You didn't know, is that August didn't really want you to leave or mean what he said. He said it because he had to. There was no other choice. And if he left it for the long run, you'd be hurt even more and he knew you couldn't deal with that kind of impact. He was broken inside. But he had to lie simply because, its whats best for you.
